God acted for the sake of His Holy name for the population of the world to see.

“But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.” Ezekiel 20:9

The Egyptians were the Gentiles whom the Israelites were among as their captive slaves. The name of God was being profaned in the sense that His people were living in slavery by the standards of the Egyptians and not by God’s way. God made Himself known to the Egyptians through the Ten Plagues beginning in Exodus 7. By showing Himself, for the sake of His Holy name, God led the Israelites out of Egypt.

2000 years ago, God acted by sending His Son Jesus Christ to His people who were being held captive to worldly ways and held bondage to sin. The Jewish people were known by the Romans as the people of God, but they were mocking the Holy name of God as they kept the Jewish culture under their dominion. The name of God was profaned by the Romans as well as the world who saw God when they saw the bondage of the Jewish people. “So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands.” John 19:1-3

There are many examples of how God showed Himself to the Gentile Romans and to the entire Gentile world. For example, Paul, whose name was Saul before his conversion, was a Roman and a Pharisee, his father being a Roman and his mother Jewish. Saul persecuted, imprisoned, put to death, and was responsible for keeping the Jewish Christians under bondage. One day, God showed Himself to Saul, and Saul said this, “And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’” Acts 26:14

Jesus Christ also made Himself known to the Gentile world outside the Roman culture, as quoted, “Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.” John 4:9

Today, Jesus Christ has come to preach the Kingdom of God to all people, including the Gentiles, who are every non-Jewish person and every person in bondage to sin, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.: John 3:16-17

Our Lord Jesus performed many signs and wonders to lead people out of the bondage of sin, “Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst…” Acts 2:22 God shows many signs and wonders through the Holy Spirit to lead people to His Salvation, “God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will…” Hebrews 2:4 As is said in this verse, of today’s post, “But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of [sin].” Ezekiel 20:9

God is going to lead the followers of Jesus Christ into the promised land of the New Jerusalem by showing Himself to this sin-plagued world. He shows Himself through the events of the Seven Plagues in Revelation 16 and the events of the Seven Trumpets in Revelation 8, 9, and 11. Global warming is already in this world and is the Fourth Plague. Global warming walks hand-in-hand with the United Nations, the more powerful the United Nations becomes as the one world government the more intense the heat of global warming becomes. The Day of the Lord is approaching, and Jesus Christ returns.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
