“And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, what is this proverb that you people have about the land of Israel, which says, ‘The days are prolonged, and every vision fails’?” Ezekiel 12:21-22
The phrase, “The days are prolonged, and every vision fails…’” refers to giving up on the hope of the promises ever being fulfilled in the word of God. All through the Old Testament, the Israelites believed that one day they would be a Jewish nation on this earth. That belief carried over into the New Testament. On top of that, they never, ever, would believe the Prophecy of Ezekiel that they would be taken into captivity and their land made desolate.
After the death of Jesus Christ, some of His disciples (not Apostles) said this, “But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel.” Luke 24:21 They gave up hope of having a nation to call their own on this earth but were unaware that they were talking to the resurrected Jesus Christ. The Apostles themselves were waiting for Israel to come into power on this earth as their own nation, as recalled in this verse, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” Acts 1:6 One Apostle questioned Jesus about how His Kingdom will be shown to His disciples but not to the rest of the world, “Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” John 14:22
“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20-21 The promised land of Israel is not on this earth, it is not the State of Israel. The promised land is the eternal New Jerusalem in the new heaven and new earth. Today, many have given up on the return of Jesus Christ saying that He is never coming back, they say, “‘The days are prolonged, and every vision fails’?” “And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.” Acts 1:8
“Tell them therefore, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will lay this proverb to rest, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.”’ But say to them, ‘“The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.” Ezekiel 23
God has laid to rest the idea that His promises to the Israelites would never happen. Because of the hardness of their heart, and their inability to see Jesus Christ as the gate leading into the eternal New Jerusalem, He gave them the State of Israel. That is the promised land of Israel that the Jewish people wanted in the Old Testament and what those of the New Testament were hoping Jesus Christ would bring. As we see, those “…days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.” At the gathering of the Jewish people to the State of Israel, the judgment of God against them began.
Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of prophecy who brought us the kingdom of God, “From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17 Jesus Christ was sent by God to reconcile us to Him by the remission of sin. His children are not biologically Jewish but are those who believe in Jesus. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 The Jewish people are supposed to be Christian, and Christians have no nation on this earth to call our own. The Jewish people rejected Jesus Christ, and according to their will, they have been led into the State of Israel where the wrath of God falls on them.
The Jewish people do not see that the Prophecies of the Bible, concerning their captivity, has come to pass as they were gathered into the boiling pot called the State of Israel, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.” Ezekiel 22:19-20
We see the prophecies of the Bible being fulfilled everywhere today. In 1948, the Jewish people were gathered to the State of Israel where the wrath of God’s judgment began in that very same year. Israel has been involved in 18 wars since the day they were established as their own land, Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page.
Global warming is a fulfillment of prophecy as it is the Fourth Plague in Revelation 16. Another fulfillment of prophecy is that the global government was established immediately after WW2 and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8. The formation of the world government is also described in Revelation 17. Another fulfillment of prophecy is that the entity with the power to form what we think, feel, do, and say is in the world. This entity enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. By what they say and do, they are groomed to the mark of the beast. The fulfillment of Revelation 13 is upon the people of the world. Jesus Christ is coming back.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
