“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which has eyes to see but does not see, and ears to hear but does not hear; for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 12:1-2
The Jewish people have the Old Testament in their possession so, all of the prophecies of the Bible are there for them to see and to hear. The whole Old Testament flows with the “scarlet cord” pointing to Jesus as the Christ, which basically makes the Old Testament new by believing in Him. Also, the prophecies refer to the captivity of Israel, and the Jewish people do not see and hear that their captivity is not a thing of the past. How can the Israelis possibly believe that living in the State of Israel is the promised land with freedom of spirit and soul? They have been involved in 18 wars since the year they were established in 1948. Click for a list of those wars and scroll close to the bottom of the page. This is the wrath of God’s judgment coming against them at the hand of the global government. The Israelis are a rebellious house.
The Jewish people are not able to see or hear the prophecies of the Old Testament concerning Jesus Christ being their Messiah. Their spirit and soul remain in captivity as they reject the will of God, which is to accept Jesus as the Christ. If they did receive Jesus, not only would they be forgiven of sin and find life and freedom in spirit and soul, but they would have been free from living in the boiling pot called the State of Israel. They would have been Christians, without their own nation on this earth, like every follower of Jesus. The nation of Israel would never have come into existence because the nation of Christians is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth.
We who see and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ realize that the Kingdom of God is within us and is not an earthly place with a king and borders. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that is what Jesus wants the Jewish people to see and hear, but they do not. “For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them. ’But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.” Matthew 13:15-17
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
