“They made all your planks of fir trees from Senir; They took a cedar from Lebanon to make you a mast.” Ezekiel 27:5

The Holy Spirit, through Ezekiel, uses the image of America as a ship to describe how she was built. The ship represents the ability to reach many nations by sailing from coast to coast. This is to emphasize that the only purpose the builders of America had in mind (After WW2) was to construct a nation with global economic power. Building on the foundation of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit was abandoned when the United Nations was formed in 1945, as described in Daniel 8.

The planks are used to build the structure of the ship, such as the sides, flooring, etc. As seen in the picture a couple paragraphs below. The planks are the wood boards that form the shape of the whole ship. After WW2, the builders put together America with the finest wood planks that could be found in the world. America would be formed and shaped from inside and out to be the finest economy of the world.

The mast of a ship is what holds up the sails, and the stronger the mast is the bigger the sails can be. The bigger the sails, the more power the ship has to sail from coast to coast across the seas. America was constructed with the biggest and strongest masts of the world to powerfully propel the sails of her economic influence on nations across the globe.

Although we might be born in America, the Holy Spirit speaks these words to us, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Jude 20-21

Jesus Christ came to build us up as the temple of the Holy Spirit, with strong planks and masts, and with strong sails filled with the wind of the Holy Spirit, “…having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:20-22

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in Him with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
