America seized Israel and now the judgment of God comes.

“And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, ‘Aha! She is broken who was the gateway of the peoples; now she is turned over to me; I shall be filled; she is laid waste.’” Ezekiel 26:1-2

Tyre was one of the major economic hubs in those days, along with Sidon. In fact, they are almost always mentioned together as Tyre and Sidon. As we will see in this chapter, as well as chapters 27 and 28, Tyre represents the United States of America. We can know that today because Israel has basically been turned over into the hands of America.

Before the State of Israel was declared a state in 1948, she was scattered all over the world and badly broken during WW2. At that point, the United States stepped in to embrace the Jewish people. The USA used their powerful vote and prestige within the newly formed United Nations to ensure the establishment of the Jewish State of Israel. From that day forward, the United States practically took control of Israel conforming her to a daughter of democracy. The only democracy in the Middle East. We can hear America saying, ‘Aha! She is broken who was the gateway of the peoples; now she is turned over to me…” Through the government of the State of Israel, the USA gained a foothold in the Middle East region, as the government of America can be heard saying in 1948, “I shall be filled; she is laid waste.”

God is a jealous God, and the soul of Israel, and each person in this world, belongs to Him. “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:20 God bought the Israelis, and all of us, with a price. The price paid to redeem us and the Jewish people to God is the life of His Son Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit speaks these words to us, “For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:3
