Every sorrow Israel is experiencing today is a result of rejecting Jesus Christ 2000 years ago.

“Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have forgotten Me and cast Me behind your back, Therefore you shall bear the penalty of your lewdness and your harlotry.’” Ezekiel 23:35

2000 years ago, the Jewish people put Jesus Christ behind them and have forgotten Him. That is the root of their horror and sorrow today. Jesus Christ came to give them a new life in Him, as Christians, but they said “No!” to Him. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” Matthew 23:37-39

All eighteen Israeli wars since 1948 is a result of the Jewish people rejecting Jesus Christ. The roar of the voices of the global culture against Israel is a result of the Jewish people rejecting Jesus Christ. The case of genocide against the government of Israel, brought by the members of the United Nations, is a result of the Jewish people rejecting Jesus Christ. The fading support of the United States is a result of the Jewish people rejecting Jesus Christ. Every horrible and sorrowful event coming against Israel is because they turned their back on the will of God for them to receive Jesus Christ.

If the Jewish people would have invited Jesus into their life, they would be living as Christians and the Jewish State of Israel would not exist today. Jesus Christ would have erased all of the horror and sorrow they are going through today in the land of Israel. Christians do not have a nation on this earth to call our own, our nation is the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth by believing in Jesus. “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” Hebrews 3:15

We have a friend in Jesus who wants to wipe away the horror and sorrow of the consequences of sin. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 God loves us and wants to give us life, eternal life, so that we don’t suffer the eternal flames of hell.

What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and grieves to bear
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
