“And say, Thus saith the Lord God; A great eagle with great wings, long winged, full of feathers, which had divers colors, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar: He cropped off the top of its young twigs, and carried it into a land of trade; he set it in a city of merchants.” Ezekiel 17:3-4
God gave Ezekiel this word to speak to us concerning how the State of Israel came into existence.
The phrase “…full of feathers, which had divers colors…” is like the different colors of a rainbow, or a quilt, and other such multi-colored appearances. In this verse, the “divers colors” are part of the “…great eagle with great wings…” which represents the global government. That is revealed to us in this verse which is explaining the meaning of the parable, “Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;” Ezekiel 17:12 Babylon represents the world government (United Nations).
The “...divers colors…” of the global government is the United Nations. There are many nations of different colors and nationalities that form the United Nations. There are over 190 different nations. The United Nations was formed in 1945 immediately after WW2 and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8. Multi-colored high places are spoken about in Ezekiel 16:16
In 1947, the United Nations approved the paperwork to establish the State of Israel. The phrase, “…took the highest branch of the cedar…” refers to the United Nations soliciting the highest official of the Jewish people to be leader of the Jewish state. At that time, David Ben-Gurion was a very high official of the Jewish people and very prominent on a world scale. “David Ben-Gurion became the Prime Minister of Israel on May 14, 1948, following the adoption of the Israeli Declaration of Independence. He is often referred to as “Israel’s founding father” due to his significant role in the establishment of the state of Israel.”
The phrase, “He cropped off the top of its young twigs, and carried it into a land of trade; he set it in a city of merchants.” refers to the State of Israel being established. David Ben-Gurion and associates were ready to be the first Prime Minister and governors of Israel where Israel would be established in a land with their own economy. The State of Israel was set in a city of merchants.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
