Ezekiel 3:22-27

“Then the hand of the Lord was upon me there, and He said to me, “Arise, go out into the plain, and there I shall talk with youSo I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face.” Ezekiel 3:22-23

Ezekiel needed some private time with the Lord God on the plain. He had been sent to preach God’s word to the house of Israel, but they were stubborn and hard-hearted. When Ezekiel was first given the word of God to speak to them, he heard the sound of the entity mentioned in Ezekiel 1. In the presence of that entity, he was filled with bitterness and anger and with a propulsion to go to the house of Israel. For seven days, he remained silent in the company of those rebellious to the will of God, restraining his tongue and behavior from expressing anger and bitterness. The hand of the Lord was on Ezekiel in his silence. “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;” James 1:19

In the plain, Ezekiel saw the glory of the Lord, like the glory of the Lord when he saw the vision by the River Chebar. That is the vision of the space shuttle, space station, and space satellites as described in Ezekiel 1. That space technology is associated with the entity that gives people what to think, feel, do, and say which enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. The masses of people around the world conform to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. Ezekiel was told to shut himself into his house.

“Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and spoke with me and said to me: “Go, shut yourself inside your house.” Ezekiel 3:24

After meeting with the Lord in the plain, Ezekiel was instructed to lock himself in his house away from those hardened to the will of God. We live in a world where Christians are made to feel unwelcomed within society. There is hostility towards belief in God the Creator and those of this world detest being referred to as sinners who need Jesus Christ to forgive their sin. They abhor us who share the Gospel of Christ. They see the Holy Spirit as someone to oppress, exploit, manipulate, and kill. God tells us through the Holy Spirit and the Gospel of Christ to “Go, shut yourself inside your house.” “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.” Revelation 18:4-5

“And you, O son of man, surely they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them.” Ezekiel 3:25

As followers of Jesus Christ, we willingly set ourselves apart from the ways of this world. Even so, the spiritually hardened people take it a step further and keep the influence of the Gospel confined. After Ezekiel locked himself in his house, those rebellious to God took it a step further and decided to bind Ezekiel to keep him locked in his own house.

We followers of Jesus Christ voluntarily set ourselves apart from the spiritually hardened world to serve God through Jesus. On top of that, the global culture makes sure we don’t circulate within their social network. As the Holy Spirit says, “…they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them.”

The ropes being used to bind us who desire to share the Gospel of Christ come through the entity that gives people their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. This entity enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. They are empowered with uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition to afflict those living by the Holy Spirit. What we are thinking is being afflicted, what we are feeling is being afflicted, how we behave towards others is being afflicted, and the words we would like to say are being afflicted. They are making it clear that Christianity is not free to circulate through their community. People everywhere conform to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

The “he” in this verse is the beast associated with the image and mark of the beast. “Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:6-8

“I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and not be one to rebuke them, for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:26

Rejecting God has a terrible consequence: it cuts off people from hearing the Gospel of Christ, which offers Salvation for the spirit and soul and grants eternal life. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 The global culture has turned a deaf ear to the testimony of Jesus, so God has made our tongue cling to the roof of our mouth. There is no one to share the words of life to the global culture. They choose to hear the entity giving them what to feel, say, think, and do.

When people turn a deaf ear to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and rebel against the will of God, they are turning away from the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is taken away, lawlessness and anti-social behavior begin to flourish, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8

“But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 3:27

From time to time, there will be an opportunity for us to say a word on behalf of the love of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a time of sharing from the Holy Bible not a time of trying to bring someone to their knees in submission to our Lord Jesus Christ. The attitude at this time is, “…here is the word of God, if you hear you hear and if you don’t you don’t”.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
