God seeks us through Jesus Christ while we have all inherited sin.

“Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” Genesis 3:9

God was aware of Adam’s location and still asked him, “Where are you?” The purpose of the question was to elicit a reply from Adam so that he would expose his condition to God after his fall. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 Everyone has inherited sin, and God calls everyone through Jesus Christ.

God is aware of our location, our sinful nature, and our separation from Him due to sin, “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” Romans 3:23 Despite our separation from God because of the inherited sin, He still calls out to us, “Where are you?” Will we come out of hiding and admit that we are sinners in need of Jesus Christ to remit our sin? “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jesus Christ came to find and rescue those who were lost so that we can praise Him who brought us from darkness to His wonderful light, “…for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost…that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…” Luke 19:101 Peter 2:9

God shows His love for us in sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us when we were still sinners, ““For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:6-8

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:1
