Through Mordecai, Queen Esther discovers the plot to eradicate the Jewish People.

A plot to exterminate the Jews from the kingdom of the narcissistic and grandiose King Ahasuerus was devised by Haman in chapter three of Esther. Haman’s scheme resembles the terrorist attack by Hamas against the State of Israel that occurred on October 7, 2023. It also mirrors the plot to eradicate the Jewish people who were living in Hitler’s Germany who suffered the gas chambers of the Holocaust. Chapter 4 reveals how Queen Esther discovered Haman’s scheme to annihilate the Jewish people, who were her own people.

  • Jewish people mourn everywhere when the plot is discovered to eradicate them.
  • Queen Esther becomes aware of the plot to eradicate the Jewish people.
  • Queen Esther informs Mordecai that it would mean death for her to enter the king’s presence.
  • Mordecai tells Esther that as a Jew she would not escape the eradication order.
  • Queen Esther request Mordecai to have the Jewish people fast for her as she enters the king’s presence.

Jewish people mourn everywhere when the plot is discovered to eradicate them. “When Mordecai learned all that had happened, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city. He cried out with a loud and bitter cry.” Esther 4:1

When Mordecai discovered Haman’s plot to wipe out him, Queen Esther, and all the Jewish people, he wept and wailed in the middle of the city. His grief was as intense as that of the Jewish people in Nazi Germany who faced mass extermination. They felt bitterness, mourning, hopelessness, and helplessness as they were dragged away from their homes never to be seen again.

In today’s world, each person who follows Jesus Christ see how faith in God the Creator, the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the human spirit and conscience are being wiped out. It is a day of mourning for Christianity. The global culture is dominated by an entity giving them what to think, feel, speak, and act, instead of listening to their own conscience and honoring God above all. This entity animates the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. They conform to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.” Revelation 13:7 The “him” refers to the beast associated with the image and mark of the beast.

“He went as far as the front of the king’s gate, for no one might enter the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth.” Esther 4:2

Narcissistic people cannot tolerate criticism, resentment, or grief directed at them or their actions, past or present. They despise complaints and expect admiration, praise, and absolute loyalty. King Ahasuerus was such a person. The king banned anyone who showed signs of discontent from entering the gates leading to his palace. He would consider bitter mourning as hate speech, terroristic threats, etc. If he were here today, he would even ensure that any self-writing AI programs would filter out any criticism of the governing agenda.

People who live for the Gospel of Jesus Christ see that the global government (United Nations) is the government of the beast. That is why this world’s system eradicates Christianity and are putting the followers of Jesus quietly out of the picture, out-of-sight out-of-mind. We see that the global culture are those who serve the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”.

We, as Christians, offer our body as the home of the Holy Spirit, the temple of God. We witness how the government of the beast is defiling God’s temple and they will face their destruction as a result, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 As Christians, we grieve deeply for how the global culture has destroyed the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we are considered to be hostile and critical of the governing authority, even though we act in the spirit of Christ’s peace, meekness, gentleness, and harmlessness. We are lambs led to the slaughter.

“And in every province where the king’s command and decree arrived, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.” Esther 4:3

This verse vividly portrays the atmosphere in Hitler’s Germany, where the cries and lamentations of the spirit of the Jewish people filled the air. The same sorrow is echoed by the State of Israel and the followers of Jesus Christ who foresee the doom of Israel under the beast’s global rule. And the same grief is felt by Christians who face the ban on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and foresee great tribulation.

This verse refers to the beast that is linked to the image and mark of the beast. “And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:5-8

Revelation 12 details the extermination of births born through Jesus Christ to exterminate Christianity.

Queen Esther becomes aware of the plot to eradicate the Jewish people. “So Esther’s maids and eunuchs came and told her, and the queen was deeply distressed. Then she sent garments to clothe Mordecai and take his sackcloth away from him, but he would not accept them.” Esther 4:4

Through the king’s servants who attended to her, Queen Esther found out that Mordecai (her cousin) was bitterly mourning and wailing in the middle of the city. She had a double portion of distress on her shoulders. For one, she understood that Mordecai’s problem concerned the Jews, and she was Jewish. Mordecai and Queen Esther had a close spiritual bond. He had adopted Esther when she lost both her parents and taught her the Ten Commandments and to revere the Lord God. She loved Mordecai.

Secondly, Esther, the queen, understood that her husband, the king, had such a narcissistic and grandiose personality that he would not accept any kind of “disturbance” that he could perceive as an insult to or criticism of him. To protect Mordecai and please her husband, Queen Esther asked Mordecai to stop his public display of grief. Mordecai could not quiet his bitter sadness for the Jewish people, including Esther, who were destined to be slaughtered.

Mordecai expressed his sorrow in a way that was customary for the Jews, a tradition that the Pharisees still followed when Jesus Christ was walking on this earth. However, Jesus warned us not to show off anything we do in public, as written in Matthew 6:1-18. Fasting is often accompanied with mourning, “But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting.” Even prayers should be in secret, “But you, when you pray, go into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place…” Even when doing good deeds, it should be done in secret, “But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret…”

In Nazi Germany, showing any sympathy for a Jewish person was extremely dangerous, which made the teachings of Jesus very appealing. One could face harsh punishment for mourning a Jewish person, praying for a Jewish person or to their God, or doing a good deed for a Jewish person. Jesus does not want us to serve Him to be seen by others.

A global culture that wishes to erase Jesus Christ, Christians, and Christianity from public view and memory surrounds us today. They live by the entity that gives them their thoughts, emotions, actions, and words. This force supplants the human conscience and animates the image of the beast to live and speak through them in every city around the world. Traits of psychopathy pervades the global culture in the absence of human conscience. They feel empowered to exalt their will over the followers of Jesus Christ and even over God’s authority. They do not feel guilty or remorseful for their actions against those who live for Jesus Christ and they detest being seen as sinners who need Jesus. They see the Holy Spirit as someone to manipulate, domineer, exploit, and to kill as the world fills with lawlessness and ant-social behavior with no empathy for human beings.

“Then Esther called Hathach, one of the king’s eunuchs whom he had appointed to attend her, and she gave him a command concerning Mordecai, to learn what and why this was. So Hathach went out to Mordecai in the city square that was in front of the king’s gate.” Esther 4:5-6

Not knowing about the plot to annihilate the Jews, Queen Esther was puzzled by Mordecai’s persistent public mourning. She realized the situation was grave and wanted to learn more. Today, people know we are living in a world that no longer welcomes Jesus Christ and His followers, but instead of bringing to light what is happening, like Queen Esther did, they love the darkness and want nothing to do with the light. The Holy Spirit says this to us, “….to you whohave not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’ Revelation 2:24-25

“And Mordecai told him all that had happened to him, and the sum of money that Haman had promised to pay into the king’s treasuries to destroy the Jews.” Esther 4:7

Mordecai revealed that Haman had plotted to destroy the Jewish people by enriching the king’s treasury which would be used to fund the destruction of the Jewish people. The narcissistic and grandiose king felt more need for the enrichment of his treasury, empowerment, and image then he did for the lives of the Jewish people. This is why it is so important for governors to rule by righteousness, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” Matthew 6:33 “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness…” Ephesians 6:14

Today, the global government has created a world economic system for all nations to pay into its treasuries to fund its agenda to establish the one world government. This money will in turn be used to eradicate Christianity and further bring the persecution of the followers of Jesus Christ. In Daniel 11:20 it talks about the “raiser of taxes” who does so for the glory of the global government of the beast which ushers in the undisputed power of the one world government. Hitler’s Germany certainly had plenty of money in the government treasury for destroying the Jewish people.

“He also gave him a copy of the written decree for their destruction, which was given at Shushan, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her, and that he might command her to go in to the king to make supplication to him and plead before him for her people.” Esther 4:8

Mordecai obtained a written copy of the order to annihilate the Jewish people which was given at Shushan. Shushan was in the territory we know as Iran today, which we know are sponsors of global terrorism, haters of the Jewish people, and oppose Christianity. No doubt, Iran is supportive of Hamas in the same way Shushan was supportive of Haman. With that evidence, Queen Esther would show how Haman planned to destroy the Jewish people in the name of the narcissistic and grandiose king. At that time, Esther would reveal to her husband and king that she is Jewish and fated to be killed by the order of Haman. It would not end well for Haman.

“So Hathach returned and told Esther the words of Mordecai.” Esther 4:9

Today, there will be no written evidence of the scheme to eliminate faith in God our Creator, or to point to the eradication of the message of Jesus Christ, or to reveal the oppression of the presence of the Holy Spirit. The elimination of the followers of Jesus Christ is being done through the masses of people of the global culture who live by the unseen entity giving them what to do, say, feel, and think. They are living by the dark secrets of Satan, “….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’” Revelation 2:24-25 The global culture is allowing the unseen image of the beast to live and speak through them as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

Queen Esther informs Mordecai that it would mean death for her to enter the king’s presence. “Then Esther spoke to Hathach, and gave him a command for Mordecai: “All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that any man or woman who goes into the inner court to the king, who has not been called, he has but one law: put all to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter, that he may live. Yet I myself have not been called to go in to the king these thirty days.” Esther 4:10-11

Queen Esther sent a message to Mordecai that she wanted to tell her husband, the king, about Haman’s plan to kill the Jews, who were her own people. But she feared he would execute her. The king did not allow anyone to enter the inner court unless he summoned them. Esther was just another object to the king, who lacked any emotional bond or tenderness for her. He was a narcissistic and grandiose person, who judged people by their usefulness and loyalty to him. If she seemed disloyal or made a mockery of his will, the king would not have hesitated to kill her like any other of his possessions.

“So they told Mordecai Esther’s words.” Esther 4:12

A common theme in the Bible is the inner court, a sacred place where God dwells. The inner court represents our soul, where we can access God’s presence through Jesus Christ. The Bible calls us the temple of God or the temple of the Holy Spirit. In contrast, king Ahasuerus forbade anyone from entering his inner court, or else they would face death, unless he held out his scepter to them. This mirrors our situation in this world, under the global government of the beast.

Today, there is the entity “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Click here for a post on the “man of sin”. He resides in the temple of our body by the entity giving people what to say, do, think, and feel. No one can enter the temple unless this entity extends its scepter to them, which signifies empowerment through their thoughts, feelings, words and deeds. This entity refuses entry into the temple through Jesus Christ although we are created to be the home of the Holy Spirit, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16

The global culture lives by the entity reaching its scepter to them by giving them their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. It supplants the human conscience as it enlivens the image of the beast to live and speak through people. Traits of psychopathy flourish in the absence of human conscience, which forms a worldwide army to prevent access to the inner court. People in every city around the world conform to the anti-Christian culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

The masses of the global culture prevent people from accessing the inner court of God’s Spirit, as they elevate their will above God’s authority and kill the belief in God’s existence. They are indifferent and feel no guilt or remorse in blocking others from accessing the inner court of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. They reject the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ as they kill His Gospel. They do not regard the Holy Spirit as someone who can fill the human spirit and soul, but as someone they need to oppress and kill.

Mordecai tells Esther that as a Jew she would not escape the eradication order. “And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews.” Esther 4:13

Queen Esther had a secret that she kept from her husband and king: she was Jewish. Mordecai warned her that she would not be spared when the decree to annihilate the Jewish people was carried out. What is in the heart makes us who we are and shapes our spirit. Esther could not avoid the anger of those who hated what she had hiding in her heart. Likewise, no Jewish person was safe from the terror that Hitler’s Germany inflicted on them.

Since we are followers of Jesus Christ, He lives in our hearts, “…it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…” Galatians 2:20 By offering our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit, we become the children of God.“…but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit…” Romans 2:29 We cannot fool those who demand that we surrender our inner selves to the authority that gives people their thoughts, words, actions and emotions. “And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.” 2 Corinthians 6:16

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

Mordecai told Esther that the Jewish people would be saved eventually even if she hid her identity from her husband and king. However, she would be among the dead of the Jewish people, along with her relatives, including Mordecai. But, if she confessed to the king that she was Jewish, he might spare her and all the Jewish people from destruction. Mordecai reasoned that God might have made her queen for this purpose. Mordecai’s warning to Esther came from his care and affection for her as much as from his worry for the fate of all the Jewish people. Esther loved Mordecai as well and would not want to spare her own life at the expense at his.

As followers of Jesus Christ, even if we remain completely silent in these anti-Christian times, Jesus Christ is returning to bring deliverance to the faithful few who hold to their identity as Christians. We love Jesus Christ, who loves us and does not wish us to perish. We also do not want to witness His perishing from this world. Meanwhile, the Gospel of Christ is perishing along with those who follow Him in Spirit and truth. In these perilous times, which grow more dangerous as time goes by, we who follow Jesus may be the ones who can make a difference. We can encourage other Christians and bring Salvation to the lost by acknowledging who we are in Jesus Christ.

Queen Esther request Mordecai to have the Jewish people fast for her as she enters the king’s presence. “Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” Esther 4:15-16

After Haman issued a decree to exterminate all Jews, Queen Esther decided that she would disclose her Jewish identity to the king, hoping that he would spare her and her people. The greater danger was not revealing that she was Jewish, but approaching the king’s inner court without his invitation. Before she took this risk, she asked all the Jewish people to fast with her for three days. The attitude of her spirit was that if she perished, she perished.

“So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.” Esther 4:17

God gave the Ten Commandments to the Jewish people as a guide for living in reverence to Him. The faithful Israelites, such as Mordecai and Esther, showed great devotion to God and their behavior reflected that of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, when He was ready to sacrifice His life on the Cross for the salvation of whoever believed in Him. Esther’s spirit and behavior reflected the prayer of Jesus Christ, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:39

The global culture of today does not care if we say we are Christians, as long as we do not try to access the inner court. The inner court is the spirit and soul of the human body, which has been claimed as the territory of the entity giving people their thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. Christians seek to enter the inner court in the name of Jesus Christ, to claim the human body as the home of the Holy Spirit. However, the masses of people who live for the anti-Christian culture oppress, resist, manipulate, and destroy the presence of the Holy Spirit in their effort to prevent us from entering the inner court. As we live for the testimony of Jesus Christ, we need the prayers of fellow Christians and we need the spirit and soul that says, “…if I perish, I perish…” and “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
