In the day of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the Day of the Lord. “For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem…” Joel 3:1
The phrase “in those days” relates to the time when the Holy Spirit was poured out as mentioned in Joel 2:28-32. Those days occurred after our Lord Jesus Christ atoned for our sin which is followed by the Day of the Lord. The Holy Spirit comforts us in our present troubles, prepares us for future challenges, and is a guide through the Day of the Lord. The Holy Spirit also assures us of our eternal inheritance in the New Jerusalem. The phrase “bring back the captives” means that people are liberated from captivity to sin and death. Through Jesus Christ, we are forgiven and reconciled to God. We are free to live a holy life in Jesus Christ and free to receive eternal life.
“But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.” Ephesians 4:7-8 The grace of Jesus Christ liberates us from captivity. However, no one in Israel or any other Jewish person can experience this freedom unless they reconcile to God through Jesus Christ. In fact, the true Jews are those who follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” Romans 2:28-29
The phrase “led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men” means that Jesus Christ has overcome the power of sin and death and has given us spiritual blessings. To illustrate this, think of animals that are trapped in cages at an animal shelter. They are in captivity. Then, someone comes and adopts one of them. The person takes the animal to their car and drives it to their house. The animal is still captive, but in a different way. It is no longer under the control of the shelter, but of the person who loves it. When the animal arrives at its new home, it receives many gifts, such as food, toys and affection. Similarly, we are captive to sin until we are adopted by God through faith in Jesus Christ. While we live in this world, the Holy Spirit keeps sin under control in our lives until we reach our heavenly home where we receive many gifts from God. In this sense, Jesus Christ has taken our captivity to sin and made it His own. He has led captivity captive.
Multitudes and multitudes of people today are in the valley of decision. They have to choose between being in captivity to the thing giving them their feelings, thoughts, actions, and words, or letting Jesus Christ take captivity captive through the Spirit. “…casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” 2 Corinthians 10:5
The Battle of Armageddon is judgment against the government of the beast. “I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. They have cast lots for My people, have given a boy as payment for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.” Joel 3:2-3
“I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat…”. The gathering of the nations was fulfilled after WW2, when the United Nations was established in 1945, as described in Daniel 8. The Jewish people were also gathered to Israel, which became a state in 1948. These events set the stage for bringing them to the “Valley of Jehoshaphat”, which is the Battle of Armageddon. The global government of the beast will attack Israel, triggering the final war of Armageddon.
“And I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people…”. The word “them” in that verse means the United Nations, which is the global government of the beast. They are God’s means of judgment against the State of Israel, but they are also God’s enemies. His judgment will fall on this world’s system. Today, God’s people are the followers of Jesus Christ because the Jewish people rejected Him, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name…” John 1:11-12 The global culture faces God’s wrath for how they treat His people, as stated, “For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.” Zechariah 2:8
Who does God judge? He judges the United Nations and its global culture, which rely on the entity that gives them their feelings, thoughts, actions, and words. This entity allows the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world, replacing the human conscience. People conform to the anti-Christian global culture and are groomed to the mark of the beast by their words and deeds.
The global culture is influenced by a force that makes people feel and think in ways that promote traits of psychopathy. This force replaces the human conscience and makes people feel empowered to exalt their will above the authority of God the Creator. They hate God’s heritage, which includes Israel and Christianity. They do not feel remorse or guilt and refuse to acknowledge they are sinners in need of Jesus Christ to forgive their sins. They mock and oppress the Holy Spirit and despise the life of Holiness. As a result, the cities around the world are full of lawlessness and anti-social behavior, and people lack empathy for each other.
“My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations…” God calls Israel His heritage, even though the Israelis of today do not honor their heritage in God. The Israelis have a history of profaning God’s name, especially when they rejected Jesus Christ, their own Messiah, as their Lord and Savior. When God gathered the Jewish people to the State of Israel in 1948, He did it for His heritage’s sake, not for the Israelis’, as is written, “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went.” Ezekiel 36:22
The phrase “They have also divided up My land” is easily applied to the current situation of the State of Israel. The “two state solution” proposes to split the land between Israel and the Palestinians. The land is already partitioned into the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and West and East Jerusalem. The division of the land also applies to the global territory beyond the borders of Israel. These divisions are not just barriers to keep Christianity away, but also sources of conflict, tension, suffering, chaos, and tribulation of various kinds.
The goal of the United Nations is to create a one world government by eliminating political and religious boundaries. But first, divisions and conflict are created along political and religious boundaries to create a need for a world constitution to govern all nations. That means conforming every state and religion to the global constitution and beliefs of the United Nations. That conformity means serving the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 We are the temple of God, and “he” sits within the body by giving people what to think, feel, do, and say. “They have cast lots for My people, have given a boy as payment for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.” Treating people as commodities and trading them for selfish purposes is a sign of psychopathy. The global culture reduces human beings to objects. Human trafficking will persist under the beast’s global rule until this world’s system falls apart, as the verse says, “…cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.” A clear way to dehumanize people is to treat them like objects and control their thoughts, actions, words, and emotions. This is the foundation and source of the global government’s power and authority.
Revelation 18 speaks of the collapse of the global economy and of human beings being in the same category as merchandise, “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.” Revelation 18:11-13
God desires to take away our stony heart, which makes us view people as objects, and help us recognize human beings as His Creation. He wants to renew our spirit and grant us a heart of flesh. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26 God desires that our human nature and spirit unite with His Spirit through Jesus Christ. He wishes us to experience a new birth in our humanity and His Spirit. “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” John 3:6 “For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. “But like men they transgressed the covenant; There they dealt treacherously with Me.” Hosea 6:6-7
Global economy is a collaboration against Jesus Christ and His followers.
The global economy has nothing to do with God and Jesus Christ. “Indeed, what have you to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia? ” Joel 3:4a.
A translation of that verse could be, “How are you related to Me, O global economy and all the trade routes of the world?” Tyre, Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia were the center of the world’s economic power in the Bible. They symbolize the global economic power of today’s global government.
The global economy today has no connection to God, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. It serves the world’s system rather than the spiritual needs of human beings of the world. Many people in the world suffer a broken heart, poverty, grief, injustice, and lack of awareness of Christ’s Gospel. The global government of the beast caters to the United Nations and its global culture, which contradicts the words of Jesus who said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed…” Luke 4:18
The digital currency is a form of retaliation against God and Jesus Christ. “Will you retaliate against Me? But if you retaliate against Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your retaliation upon your own head…” Joel 3:4b.
A way to retaliate against God is to disregard Jesus Christ and to undermine His Gospel. The beast’s global government is exploiting the global economy to defy God and Jesus Christ by introducing the digital currency.
One way to understand the goal of the digital currency is to relate it to this verse, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil…” 1 Timothy 6:10a. The global government believes that by abolishing cash, they can eradicate all forms of evil, crime, and lawlessness in the world. They claim that the global digital currency will reduce sin and help the world achieve an earthly paradise. They are defying God by undermining the Gospel and rejecting Jesus Christ, who is the only one who can forgive sin. The digital currency cannot save anyone or create heaven on earth. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ and Heaven is a real place in the new heaven and earth.
The text continues as follows in 1 Timothy 6:10,”…for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” A global digital currency that is required to “earn a living” leads people away from faith and inflicts them with many sorrows. God will repay them with the same punishment they deserve.
People who prosper by earning digital currency are those who welcome the thing giving them what to feel, think, say, and do. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. Obviously, we who live for Jesus Christ do not want any type of money if our spirit and soul is required in exchange. People are conformed to the global anti-Christian digital culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
The pursuit of digital currency leads people to abandon their former belief in God through Jesus Christ. This is a new form of greed that mirrors the old one driven by cash. The world will suffer greatly from this global culture, and we can already witness its effects. One of the major sources of suffering is global warming and is the Fourth Plague as mentioned in Revelation 16:8-9. As the United Nations grows stronger as a global governing body, the effects of global warming become more severe.
Before the Day of the Lord, when God will punish the digital global economy and its culture, His wrath will be evident in other ways. The global culture lives by the thing giving them what to feel and think which has replaced the human conscience and causes traits of psychopathy to flourish. Many people suffer greatly. They have become self-centered in feeling empowered to exalt their will above God’s authority as their Creator. They do not feel any regret, guilt, or shame for their sins, and they reject Jesus Christ for forgiveness. They mock, control, and abuse the Holy Spirit. The world fills with lawlessness, anti-social behavior, sorrows, and indifference to human suffering.
The global culture has set themselves up as God through materialism. “Because you have taken My silver and My gold, and have carried into your temples My prized possessions.” Joel 3:5
God’s money, given to us through Jesus Christ, has been transferred out of His bank account and into the bank account of the global government of the beast. The text says that our body, which is the temple of God and the home of the Holy Spirit, has been rendered insolvent. We are meant to be the repository (or temple) of the Holy Spirit, as the quoted, “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 However, the human body has been enriched as the temple of the entity that gives people their feelings, thoughts, words, and actions. This entity lives within us as though it were God, as the one, “…who opposes and who exalts himself over every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “he” in that verse is referred to as the “man of sin”. The governing entity of the global culture of the beast has enriched and empowered the human body as its sanctuary. The people of the world are enhanced in their bodies to feel like valuable assets. They are empowered by extraordinary knowledge and intuition. They have emotions that make them appear more human and less like things. They have extraordinary talents and skills, remarkable physical abilities and accomplishments, and uncanny authority over others. But they lack the human spirit and conscience that connects to the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. What shapes their feelings, thoughts, words, and actions have replaced the human conscience.
The global government is not only taking God’s spiritual money that was given through Jesus Christ, but also the money of this world and putting it into the world bank. They are taking control of the money supply by converting cash into digital currency. This leaves no money for people to spend on their faith in God, no money to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and no money to spend by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The global culture wants to replace God as the source and giver of all things, while hiding behind the fig leaf of humanism. They claim to be humanitarian and righteous, but they reject God. For example, they justify the killing of the unborn by calling it “Reproductive Rights”, and they endorse the LGBQT+ lifestyles through the “Respect for Marriage Act”.
People are removed from the presence of God to be given to the global culture. “Also the people of Judah and the people of Jerusalem you have sold to the Greeks, that you may remove them far from their borders.” Joel 3:6
Politics and governing authorities have lost touch with the human spirit and soul of the people they should serve. They treat people as objects that can be manipulated for their own benefit or traded for votes or used as leverage in political schemes. We see that happening in the formation of the global government. They impose their own agenda on people, requiring them to live by the entity giving them what to feel, think, do, say, and believe. Governing authorities exercise power over cities, states, and nations like pieces on a chess or checkers board, according to their will. They assign monetary value to them based on their contribution to the global economy and “sell them off” accordingly. Traits of psychopathy are clearly visible in the United Nations’ goals of creating a one world government.
We can see that the modern-day territory of Judah and Jerusalem has been “sold” and deviated from its Biblical heritage. Judah lies within the West Bank, and Jerusalem is split into West and East sections. East Jerusalem belongs to the West Bank and West Jerusalem belongs to Israel. This is related to the “Two State Solution”, which proposes to create a Palestinian State next to Israel. The United Nations, which represents the global government of the beast, supports this solution. Therefore, the United Nations has sold Israel and altered its borders.

The picture below also illustrates that the State of Israel of today (including the West Bank and Gaza Strip) matches the territory described in Ezekiel 48. Ezekiel was written about 2,600 years ago, or almost 600 years before Jesus Christ’s birth.
Jerusalem is the spiritual capital of the soul, where Jesus Christ reigns as Lord and Savior. The land of Judah is the spiritual population of Jesus Christ’s followers. We are descendants of the tribe of Judah, because our Lord Jesus belongs to that tribe. The beast’s government has taken away the soul’s territory from Jesus Christ.
God created the soul and spirit of human beings to be the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, or the temple of God, as it is written, “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 However, the entity that influences people’s thoughts, feelings, actions, and words have alienated the soul and spirit from being the domain of the Holy Spirit. They have usurped God’s authority in His own land, as it is written, “…who opposes and exalts himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “he” in that verse refers to the “man of sin”. God retaliates against the global culture which manipulates His people like objects. “Behold, I will raise them out of the place to which you have sold them, and will return your retaliation upon your own head.” Joel 3:7
The phrase “those being raised from the place where they have been sold” refers to the children of God who are born through Jesus Christ. They will be raised on the Day of the Lord and at the return of Jesus Christ, when they will be resurrected from the dead to live eternally with Him. The place where the followers of Christ are sold is this dehumanized and sin-plagued planet within the global culture of the beast. Christians are “sold” as objects to be used, abused, and treated as this world pleases. God will retaliate against this present anti-Christian world system, not by human hands, as quoted. “Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.” Romans 12:17-19
Global warming, which is the fourth Plague in Revelation 16:8-9, is the most evident sign so far of God’s wrath on this world. The United Nations and global warming are closely related. The more powerful the United Nations becomes as the one world government, the more intense and severe the heat of global warming gets. Global warming will lead to the destruction of the beast’s power center, (Fifth Plague in Revelation 16:10-11), which will cause the collapse of the beast’s global government. The fall of the global culture will trigger the Battle of Armageddon of the Sixth Plague in Revelation 16:12-17. When Jesus Christ returns and the Seventh Trumpet sounds, (Revelation 11:15-19 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) we will be resurrected from the dead.
When God’s wrath descends upon the world, the global culture will have turned into a very cruel and hostile environment, even among the animals, as quoted, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.” Revelation 18:2 NIV
The global culture, which flourishes with traits of psychopathy, has “sold” us a way of life that replaces the human conscience with an entity that gives people their feelings, thoughts, words, and actions. This culture also promotes digital currency to eliminate cash, which they consider the way to remove the root of all evil. That is their attempt to eradicate sin without any faith in God, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. They become egocentric and arrogant, placing their own authority above that of God our Creator. They feel no guilt, no remorse, and reject the idea of being sinners who need Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin. They treat the Holy Spirit as someone to manipulate, oppose, oppress, and exploit. The world is fills with lawlessness and anti-social behavior, with no empathy for human beings.
We who serve God through Jesus Christ has victory over the ways of this world. “I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off; For the Lord has spoken.” Joel 3:8
The verse above mentions sons and daughters being sold. This refers to those who govern by and live for the global culture of the beast. They dehumanize and treat the followers of Jesus Christ as objects and exploit them for their own benefit. God responds to their actions by selling them to “people far off” people who are far from God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. This means eternal punishment in hell for those far off people.
People have lost their free will and their humanity because of a force that gives them their emotions, thoughts, words, and actions. This force supplants the human conscience and makes the human spirit resistant to Jesus Christ. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron…” 1 Timothy 4:1-2
Proclaim to the nations their impending destruction. “Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, let them come up.” Joel 3:9
The Battle of Armageddon is a global war that looms ahead, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is already under attack worldwide. We, as followers of Jesus, declare that this world is heading towards the Battle of Armageddon, and we urge others to get ready. We urge them to get ready by making peace with God through the forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ and by welcoming the Holy Spirit. We also encourage fellow Christians to fortify their spirit and soul for the challenging, chaotic, and turbulent spiritual warfare that is coming and is already present.
Global warming is a call for all humanity to wake up because it comes just before the Battle of Armageddon. Global warming is the Fourth Plague, and the Battle of Armageddon is the Sixth Plague. The Fifth Plague is when the power center of the beast is destroyed which means the global culture of the beast is rendered powerless. “Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’” Joel 3:10
We are followers of Jesus Christ, and we transform our worldly tools into weapons of the Spirit. We do not use “plowshares” to cultivate the anti-Christian global culture, but we cultivate the Spirit through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We use the tools that were once used to prune the fruit of the Holy Spirit to pierce sin to the Cross of Jesus Christ. Though we are weak in the flesh, we are strong in the Spirit through our Lord Jesus.
Living for Jesus Christ can be challenging, and exhausting as we face constant harassment and difficulties. We may feel weak, but we can also claim strength from the Spirit that works in us through Jesus. He gives us God’s mercy, grace, Salvation, and eternal life. As quoted, “And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days...And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time.” Daniel 11:33,35
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 1 Corinthians 10:4-6
God provides us with the Armor of God to protect us in the battle,
Finally, become strong in the Lord and in the might of his strength.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil, because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Because of this, take up the full armor of God, in order that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.
Stand therefore, girding your waist with truth, and putting on the breastplate of righteousness, and binding shoes under your feet with the preparation of the good news of peace, in everything taking up the shield of faith, with which you are able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one, and receive the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, with all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and to this end being alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,
and for me, that a word may be given to me at the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for the sake of which I am an ambassador in chains, that in them I may speak freely, as it is necessary for me to speak.
Ephesians 6:10-20
“Assemble and come, all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O Lord. Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.” Joel 3:11-12
The text refers to the Battle of Armageddon when it mentions the nations assembling in the “Valley of Jehoshaphat”, as described in the Sixth Plague in Revelation 16:12-17. “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.” Revelation 16:16 On that day, God’s wrath will be unleashed on the United Nations, the beast’s global government, and all the armies of the world.
“Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; For the winepress is full, the vats overflow—For their wickedness is great.” Joel 3:13
The verse above and the verse below describe the high cost of lives in the Battle of Armageddon and the Day of the Lord.
“Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.” So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.” Revelation 14:18-20
Multitudes are in the valley of decision. “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.” Joel 3:14
The Day of the Lord is a very low point for the population of this planet but is a day of joyful expectation for followers of Jesus Christ. The Day of the Lord finalizes the destruction of this present world’s system and signifies the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today, multitudes are in the valley of decision where they have a choice to make. Where the global population stands today is to serve the government of the beast, as quoted, “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8 The “him” in that verse is the beast behind the image and mark of the beast. The decision needs to be made to come to God through Jesus Christ to be among the few whose name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness.” Joel 3:15 The Apostle John says the same in this verse when speaking of the events of the Fourth Trumpet, “Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.” Revelation 8:12
The Lord also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel.” Joel 3:16
The earth and everyone on it will be destroyed who live for entity giving them what to feel, think, say, and do because it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people. People everywhere conform to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. However, those who make the decision to serve God through Jesus Christ will receive eternal life in the new heaven and earth, as quoted, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The human conscience is replaced by the entity giving people what to feel and think. The consequence of that causes traits of psychopathy to flourish in the masses of people on a global scale. That results in what we see in the description of global tribulation. Multitudes and multitudes of people are in the valley of decision where they need to decide to allow their human spirit and conscience to join with Jesus Christ. Until then, the world fills with lawlessness and anti-social activity with no empathy for human beings. The masses of the global culture have become egocentric and feel empowered to exalt their own authority above the authority of God our creator. They feel no guilt, no remorse, and abhor the idea of seeing themselves as sinners in need of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. They see the Holy Spirit as someone to oppress, manipulate, dominate, ridicule, and kill.
So you shall know that I am the Lord your God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem shall be holy, and no aliens shall ever pass through her again.”” Joel 3:17
Zion is the place where God lives, and we know that place is in Heaven. God’s dwelling place is obviously not in the divided East Jerusalem of the West Bank on this earth. The old Jerusalem is the one we see on this earth, but the Holy New Jerusalem is created in the new heaven and earth. The verse above is describing the Holy New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth after the global tribulation, the Day of the Lord, the return of Jesus Christ. A description of Mount Zion and the Holy New Jerusalem is given in Revelation 21, Revelation 22, and Ezekiel chapters 40-48.
The new heaven and earth come, and the old heaven and earth is desolated. “And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Acacias.” Joel 3:18
“And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine…” The new wine that the mountains are dripping with is the New Covenant of God made through Jesus Christ. No more would the old laws of the Old Testament be followed of killing animals year after year after year to atone for sin. Jesus Christ came as the sacrificial Lamb of God to atone for sin once and for all. The New Wine is summed up in this verse, “For in this way God loved the world, so that He gave His one and only Son, in order that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world in order that He should condemn the world, but in order that the world should be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17
Through the New Wine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we inherit eternal life in the New Jerusalem as described in the next verses, “…the hills shall flow with milk…” refer to the promised land of the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and earth, “So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey…” Exodus 3:8
“…and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Acacias.” refers to the Water of Life in the eternal New Jerusalem as described in Ezekiel 47 and also described in Revelation 22:1 “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
“Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom a desolate wilderness, because of violence against the people of Judah, for they have shed innocent blood in their land.” Joel 3:19
Egypt and Edom refer to being held captive to sin and today the global culture is captive to sin. They reject Jesus Christ to live by the thing giving them what to feel, think, do, and say. It rejects the existence of God the Creator, rejects Jesus Christ who frees from the bondage of sin, and opposes the Holy Spirit who enables us to walk in the freedom of Holiness. This present world system is a desolate wilderness referring to the global absence of the fruit of the Spirit, mercy, grace, Salvation, and life. The desolation also refers to the destruction of this planet on the Day of the Lord.
The people of Judah are the followers of Jesus Christ because He is from the Tribe of Judah, and we are born into the family of God through Him. The global culture does violence to Christianity and shed innocent blood in the land of the global government of the beast (the United Nations). They are shedding innocent blood through the traits of psychopathy which is a consequence of living without a human conscience. The human conscience is replaced by the thing giving people what to feel, think, do, and say. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people and by what they do and say violence is done to Christianity and the innocent. The masses of people conform to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
The global culture does violence to God’s children and shed innocent blood within their egocentric attitude. They feel empowered to exalt their own authority above the authority of God who says we must love one another through Jesus Christ. In doing violence and shedding innocent blood they feel no guilt, no remorse, and abhor hearing that they are sinners in need of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. They see the Holy Spirit as someone to manipulate, dominate, oppose, and to kill. The world fills with the blood of the innocent as lawlessness and anti-social activity flourishes globally with no empathy for human beings.
“But Judah shall abide forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. For I will acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed, whom I had not acquitted; For the Lord dwells in Zion.” Joel 3:20-21
There are multitudes and multitudes in the valley of decision who are presently living for the global government of the beast. Jesus Christ promises to acquit each and every one of the guilt of shedding innocent blood. As it stands, they are not acquitted, but when they come to God through Jesus Christ they are acquitted. “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus….therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Romans 3:23-24 and John 8:36 Our Lord lives in Zion, which is Heaven, and it is His will to set us free of sin, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
