Jesus Christ is persecuted for being equal to the only real God.

 “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.” John 5:18

Before the coming of Jesus Christ, the Jewish people claimed exclusive rights to God and everyone else were referred to as Gentiles without access to God. By Jesus claiming to be equal with God, and bringing forgiveness of sin and spiritual healing, He changed everything. The Jewish leaders decided to conspire to kill Him because Jesus removed their exclusive rights to God and gave access to anyone who believed in Him. In fact, Jesus taught that obeying the legalisms of the law, such as obeying Sunday routines, was not necessary to be right with God. He taught that the only necessity to be right with God was to believe in Him, as quoted, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Today, the world has and continues to conspire to kill Jesus Christ because He is God and brings spiritual healing to the human spirit by giving us the Holy Spirit by the remission of sin. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 The thing this world refers to as God gives people what to think, feel, do, and say. It claims exclusive rights over our body, the temple of God, as if it is God, as quoted, “…he opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:14 The “he” in the verse above refers to the “man of sin”, the “lawless one”, or the “son of perdition”. The thing giving people what to feel and think replaces the human conscience as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. As they conspire to rid the world of the name of Jesus Christ, the traits of psychopathy floods the world as people become egocentric to empower and exalt themselves above God. In the killing of the Gospel of Christ, they feel no remorse, no guilt, and no need for the remission of sin. They oppose, ridicule, and manipulate the presence of the Holy Spirit as they detest the life of Holiness. In the conspiracy against the Lord Jesus, the world fills with anti-social activity, with no empathy for others within their superficial charm. The masses around the world conform to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we look at the global culture as the Holy Spirit speaks to our spirit, “And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? ” 2 Corinthians 6:16
