The shameless gather together before the coming of the Lord’s wrath. “Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, O shameless nation, before the decree is issued, or the day passes like chaff, before the Lord’s fierce anger comes upon you, before the day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you!” Zephaniah 2:1-2
Shameless refers to feeling nothing about denying the existence of God the Creator, feeling nothing in rejecting the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and feeling nothing in the ridicule of the presence of the Holy Spirit. They are shameless in their despise of the life of Holiness.
The global government is the shameless nation who are gathering themselves together through the United Nations. People in every city around the world are being gathered and conformed to the global culture. They are united together through the shameless thing giving them what to think, feel, say, do and believe as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them. They are conformed to the shameless global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
The global government of the beast and its global culture are gathered together before the decree of the Lord is issued which causes them to pass away like chaff, as quoted, “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:12 Those who reconcile to God by the remission of sin through Jesus Christ are the wheat who are gathered into the eternal New Jerusalem. The chaff are those who reject what Jesus Christ has done for us on the Cross and they have eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
The decree of the Lord involves the fierce anger of the Lord coming against this present world’s system. We already see that the United Nations has been established and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in Daniel 8 as well as in Revelation 17. The world has already been gathered together. We also see the fierce anger of the Lord coming against the global government as global warming is here and is the Fourth Plague as mentioned in Revelation 16:8-9. Global warming and the global government are walking hand in hand. The stronger the government of the beast becomes the stronger the heat of the sun becomes. Global warming is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast, which means the collapse of the global government of the beast, which is mentioned in the Fifth Plague in Revelation 16:10-11. That leads to the Battle of Armageddon as mentioned in the Sixth Plague in Revelation 16:11-17.
The fierce anger of the Lord includes the events of the Seven Plagues in Revelation 16 as well as the events of the Seven trumpets. The first four trumpets are mentioned in Revelation 8, the fifth and sixth trumpet in Revelation 9, and the seventh trumpet in Revelation 11.
Meek of the earth are to seek the Lord, uphold His justice, seek righteousness and humility. “Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.” Zephaniah 2:3
Jesus Christ wants His followers to be meek and humble because meekness and humility separates us from the global culture of the beast. They are very boastful as in their attitude and spirit they boast, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13:4 The beast they follow is described like this, “And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.” Revelation 13:5-6 That type of boasting fills people with traits of psychopathy and lawlessness. “But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.” 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 The global culture allows the image of the beast to live and speak through them as they welcome the thing giving them what to feel, think, do, say and believe. Their conscience is seared as they are given what to feel and think.
The global culture of the beast can be described as riding on a powerful stallion, but Jesus Christ comes meekly and humbly riding on a donkey, as quoted, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9 As His followers, we are to live in the Spirit of humbleness and meekness as a sheep. As sheep, we hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, not the voice of boastful superiority, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-28 As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to impart His Spirit of life, Salvation, mercy, and grace.
On the Day of the Lord, the meek and humble, who hide in our Lord Jesus Christ, will be spared the eternal punishment which comes to the boastful superiority within the global culture of the beast.

The Lord’s wrath comes against the enemy of Israel who is His enemy. “For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon desolate; They shall drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron shall be uprooted. Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of the Lord is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you; So there shall be no inhabitant.” Zephaniah 2:4-5
The territory mentioned in the verse above is the territory of today’s Gaza Strip. On October 07, 2023, Israel was attacked from the Gaza Strip and as of today, November 17, 2023, the war continues. Israel will not benefit from the war, but the United Nations and the Palestinians (who populate the Gaza Strip) will be the big winners in the psychopathy of worldly terms. It enables the global government of the beast to rally the nations of the world against a common enemy, terrorism (Hamas), while encouraging aid to the Palestinians. Meanwhile, hostile global protests continue against the State of Israel. In essence, the progress of establishing the one world government continues forward like a freight train as the State of Israel continues to be pressured to conform to the global goals of peace and security in the Middle East. In other words, the State of Israel continues to be pressured to give up their independence in the region to conform to the goals of the global government of the beast.
On the Day of the Lord, Gaza will be forsaken and made to face the wrath of God’s judgment. Presently, the Lord is using the global government of the beast to fulfill His wrath against Israel, and the enemy of Israel is the same enemy of God. The Gaza Strip is on the Mediterranean seacoast, and on the Day of the Lord they will be totally uprooted and destroyed. No inhabitants will remain. That is the same wrath of God which will come against all nations of the world who govern and live for the global culture of the beast. The word of the Lord is against Israel for rejecting His Son and their Savior, Jesus Christ. The word of the Lord is against this present world’s system for rejecting Jesus Christ and choosing to live by the anti-Chrisitan thing giving the global culture what to feel, think, do, say and believe.
This promise is made to the whole world, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 God extends to us mercy, grace, Salvation, and life as He fosters the Spirit of Holiness within us while defeating the actions of psychopathy and lawlessness.
The thing giving people what to think, feel, do, and say replaces the human conscience leaving the global culture with traits of psychopathy. “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.” James 4:1-3 The masses of every nation around the world are allowing the image of the beast to speak and live through them by the thing giving them what to think, feel, and do. They are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are conformed to the mark of the beast.
“The seacoast shall be pastures, with shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks. The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; They shall feed their flocks there; In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For the Lord their God will visit them, and return their captives.” Zephaniah 2:6-7
The Day of the Lord not only refers to the destruction of this planet, but also to the return of Jesus Christ. There will be a new heaven and earth created after this present heaven and earth are destroyed. In the new heaven and earth will be the New Jerusalem where we will live eternally. For example, where the seacoast and all the Gaza Strip is destroyed, those who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ will have pastures with shelters for shepherds and flocks. Those pastures are in the New Jerusalem and are for the flock of Jesus Christ and all those who shepherd others by His Gospel. The remnant of the house of Judah will be there, and the followers of Jesus Christ are that remnant. Our Lord Jesus is from the Tribe of Judah so all who live for Him are of the house of Judah.
Jesus Christ visited this earth over 2000 years ago to atone for sin when He died on the Cross. God raised Him from the dead after three days and afterwards He ascended into Heaven, where He lives eternally with His Father. We are the captives He has set free by His victory over sin and death and because He lives, we who believe in Him will live eternally also. Jesus Christ is coming back to revisit this earth and all of us freed captives will be taken with Him into eternal life.
Destruction comes against the enemy of the Lord like what came to Sodom and Gomorrah. “I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the insults of the people of Ammon, with which they have reproached My people, and made arrogant threats against their borders.” Zephaniah 2:8
The global culture hurls a ton of insults, threats, and reproach against those who live for the teachings of the Holy Bible. Especially in recent weeks, even the State of Israel has been trashed as antisemitism has sharply rose globally. As I type this, there are forceful and even violent protests against the State of Israel and individual Jewish people have been harmed in the USA and elsewhere for their support of the Israeli government. Likewise, the global culture trashes Christianity as being hateful, bigoted, not loving, not democratic etc. for not embracing the cultural and global changes they embrace. For example, they demand the right to kill the unborn, demand the promotion of the LGBQT+ lifestyles, demand the nullification of marriage as God defined it, etc.
The global culture is living by the thing which gives them what to think, feel, do, say, and believe. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. The anti-Christian culture is formed by enflaming feelings, thoughts, behaviors and beliefs which would not ordinarily be there. The government of the beast, operating through the United Nations, are achieving the global goals through the masses in every city around the world who welcome the thing which has power over their physiology. They make a reproach of the existence of God the Creator, insult the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and make a mockery of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
The global culture of the beast threatens anyone who stands at the border where entry is made into the presence of the Spirit to make us the temple of the Holy Spirit. Their threats are designed to ensure that the border is kept closed except to the thing which enters into thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. By their insults, reproach, and threats the masses in every city around the world conform to the will of the global government of the beast.
“Therefore, as I live,” Says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Surely Moab shall be like Sodom, and the people of Ammon like Gomorrah—overrun with weeds and saltpits, and a permanent ruin.” Zephaniah 2:9a
We already live in a world like Sodom and Gomorrah, which is promoted as being “democratic” to form the global culture under the government of the beast. Sexual immorality of all sorts dominate in every city around the world as does the lifestyles of the LGBQT+ community. Casual sex is even taught in the schools as being an acceptable way of life as is the right to kill the unborn. We who live in the Holiness of Jesus Christ are oppressed and tortured by their spiritual corruption. Even so, we will be free at the coming of our Lord Jesus.
The reference to “weeds” can refer to the human spirit being filled with spiritual corruption and wickedness and cities around the world are overrun by those weeds. As the weeds of spiritual corruption grows, the goodness of God is rejected, the remission of sin through Jesus Christ is rejected, and the Holy Spirit is rejected. They detest the life of Holiness.
The thing forming what people think, feel, do, and say replaces the human conscience which causes the traits of psychopathy to flourish in every city around the world. The respect for human life has declined as people are egocentric in their disregard for the feelings and desires of others. There is a total lack of remorse and empathy for others, and they feel no need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. Lawlessness abounds and fills the world up to the day that Jesus returns. The spirit and soul are turned to weeds and a salt pit.
The reference to “salt pits” refer to the human spirit and soul being void of the Water of Life (Jesus Christ) where there are no blossoms of the fruit of Holiness. As it stands today, the world is in permanent spiritual ruin as the global culture of the beast has been established.
…and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;
and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—
the Lord knows how to deliver the Godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority.
They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
2 Peter 2:6-11
“The residue of My people shall plunder them, and the remnant of My people shall possess them.” This they shall have for their pride, because they have reproached and made arrogant threats against the people of the Lord of hosts.” Zephaniah 2:9b-10
In the same way that Sodom and Gomorrah were left in ruins, and only Lot and his two daughters were saved, this world will be destroyed and only the few who are faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ will inherit the eternal city of the New Jerusalem. We hold to the testimony of Jesus to be a light of God’s mercy, grace, life, and Salvation to a world filled with psychopathy. The inheritance of eternal life is the pride of we who live for Jesus Christ. Although Lot’s wife initially fled Sodom and Gomorrah with him and his daughters, she turned back yearning to live in spiritual corruption. She turned into a pillar of salt. Once we start living for the testimony of Jesus, we mustn’t return to the ways within the global culture of the beast. “But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62
“…the Lord knows how to deliver the Godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.”
The false god empowering the global government of the beast will be reduced to nothing. “The Lord will be awesome to them, for He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, each one from his place, indeed all the shores of the nations.” Zephaniah 2:11
The god of this earth today is the beast behind the image and mark of the beast. The thing which has power over physiology to form what people think, feel, do, say and believe is by the working of Satan. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through the masses in every city around the world. That is the god of this world which conforms the masses to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
2 Thessalonians 2:8-15

When it is said that the “lawless one” will be destroyed by the brightness of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, I automatically think of the brightness of the sun. It is global warming which is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast. That means the global government of the beast will be rendered powerless. After that comes the Battle of Armageddon. Global warming is the Fourth Plague, the destruction of the power center of the beast is the Fifth Plague, and the Battle of Armageddon is the Sixth Plague. The power center of the beast is what gives power over physiology to form thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. When it no longer has a place within our physiology, then we know it has collapsed and the Battle of Armageddon is nearby. However, as long as there is still intrusion into our thoughts and feelings, we know any other war is not Armageddon. WW3 could happen today, but it would only serve to increase the power of a one world government as long as the beast still gives people what to think, feel, believe, say and do.
The global culture following the false god will be destroyed. “You Ethiopians also, you shall be slain by My sword.” And He will stretch out His hand against the north, destroy Assyria, and make Nineveh a desolation, as dry as the wilderness.” Zephaniah 2:12-13
The wrath of God, on the Day of the Lord, includes everyone who chooses the global culture of the beast over the Lord Jesus Christ. This present heaven and earth, and everyone in it, will be destroyed, except for those whose name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8 The “him” in that verse refers to the beast who empowers the global culture of the beast through the image and mark of the beast.
The global culture are the masses in every city around the world who welcome the thing giving them what to feel, think, do, say and believe. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. The thing forming feelings and thoughts replaces the human conscience. The traits of psychopathy flood the world as people become egocentric to empower and exalt themselves above God. They feel no remorse and no need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. They oppose, ridicule, and manipulate the presence of the Holy Spirit as they detest the life of Holiness. The world fills with anti-social activity, with no empathy for others within their superficial charm.
The Lord wants us to embrace His mercy, grace, Salvation and life by receiving the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ by the remission of sin. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 As followers of our Lord Jesus, we are to share with others what God has given us.
“The herds shall lie down in her midst, every beast of the nation. Both the pelican and the bittern shall lodge on the capitals of her pillars; Their voice shall sing in the windows; Desolation shall be at the threshold; For He will lay bare the cedar work.” Zephaniah 2:14
The verse above is basically referring to a ghost town where the animals make their home in it with no human interference whatsoever. It would be like New York City, or any other city, being empty of people while animals become the inhabitants, as quoted, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a dwelling for demons
and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.” Revelation 18:2
Even today, we see desolation approaching at the threshold of the United Nations and its global culture, and not just through lawlessness and anti-social behaviors. A threshold is just before entering into a place, such as the threshold of a doorway. Global warming is at the threshold as it prepares to enter in force to bring desolation to this present world. Global warming is the Fourth Plague and it is walking hand-in-hand with the global government. The stronger the United Nations becomes as a one world government the stronger the heat of global warming becomes. It is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast (Fifth Plague) which collapses the global government of the beast. The cedar work is indeed being laid bare.
The Battle of Armageddon Happens after the Power Center of the Beast is Plunged into Darkness
“This is the rejoicing city that dwelt securely, that said in her heart, “I am it, and there is none besides me.” How has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down! Everyone who passes by her shall hiss and shake his fist.” Zephaniah 2:15
The United Nations and its global culture feel invincible within the control of the thing with power over physiology and every thought, feeling, word, behavior, and belief. In their attitude it is loudly heard, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war with him?” Revelation 13:4 They rejoice that the global culture is doing whatever they please to usher in the one world government. However, its power center will be destroyed in the Fifth Plague and during the time of the Sixth and Seventh Plague everyone will hiss and shake their fist at it.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
