The Day of the Lord. “The word of the Lord which came to Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.” Zephaniah 1:1
Total destruction of the population and planet we know today. “I will utterly consume everything
From the face of the land,” says the Lord; “I will consume man and beast; I will consume the birds of the heavens,
The fish of the sea, and the stumbling blocks along with the wicked. I will cut off man from the face of the land,”
Says the Lord.” Zephaniah 1:2-3
The planet we live on today will be totally destroyed. The heaven, earth, and ocean we see today will be destroyed and no animal nor human life will remain. It will be replaced by a new heaven and earth where the eternal New Jerusalem exists. The New Jerusalem is where those who believe in Jesus Christ will live eternally.
Today, the “stumbling blocks along with the wicked” refer to the thing which forms what people think, feel, do, and say and all those who live for it. It causes people to stumble away from God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. The masses are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by hat they say and do. They will be totally wiped off from the face of the earth.
Today, the destruction of this earth is already very much on the minds of everyone from nation to nation around the world. That destruction is described in the Seventh Trumpet in Revelation 11:15-19 and also in the Seventh Plague in Revelation 16:17-21.

The “Holy Land” is not exempt from the Day of the Lord. “I will stretch out My hand against Judah, and against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. I will cut off every trace of Baal from this place, the names of the idolatrous priests with the pagan priests—” Zephaniah 1:4
Today, the judgment of God comes against Israel because she is filled with those who serve the modern-day Baal and are filled with idolatrous and pagan priests. Today, Baal, the idols, and pagans refer to the thing which forms what people think, feel, do, and say. It’s obvious that the Israeli citizens are under its influence as they protest and riot against the “right-wing” government of the State of Israel. They demand that the Israeli government conform to the goals of the global government of the beast, which is the United Nations. The Israeli citizens allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them by welcoming the thing which gives them what to feel, think, do, and say. They are conformed to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they do and say.
Today, November 7, 2023, the State of Israel is at war with Hamas, and whatever happens, the Israeli government is the loser, and the United Nations and Palestinians are the winners. The war feeds into the hands of the global government to rally and unite the world against a common threat called terrorism and further progress in establishing the one world government. The goal of the United Nations to establish a two-state solution will not be changed and around the world there is violence against Jewish people who support their own government of the State of Israel. The masses around the world are supporting the attack on Israel by Hamas. Before this war, the United Nations declared that Israel’s use of police and military force was illegal, and during this war the United Nations is pointing the finger at the State of Israel for war crimes of attacking civilians. God’s word is true as He said, “I will stretch out My hand against Judah, and against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
God uses the global government of the beast to bring His wrath against Israel, which means the enemy of Israel is indeed the enemy of God. Severe turbulence is coming to the world even as we see global warming appearing which is the Fourth Plague as written in Revelation 16:8-9. That leads to the destruction of the power center of the beast, which brings the collapse of the global government and ushers in the Battle of Armageddon, as written in Revelation 16:11-17.
Israel is not exempt from suffering God’s wrath, and they must come to Jesus Christ like everyone else. They have already lost their standing as God’s people to those who live for Jesus Christ. That is verified in the scriptures below,
He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:11-12
Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. Galatians 3:7
…let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:10-12
The idol served by the global culture has a form of Godliness. “Those who worship the host of heaven on the housetops; Those who worship and swear oaths by the Lord, but who also swear by Milcom; Those who have turned back from following the Lord, and have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him.” Zephaniah 1:5-6
To serve the Lord on the housetops makes people visible to everyone around them and they want to be seen by others as being Godly. They wear the fig leaf of churchy and humanitarian sounding words as they swear their allegiance to a false god. In fact, in all of their “showboating” they have turned away from God, they do not seek Him through Jesus Christ, and they do not inquire of Him when navigating through this world,
The verse above refers to those who have a form of Godliness but deny God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. On the Day of the Lord, they will be wiped from the face of the earth. They try to come across as being righteous and Holy but they do not believe in God the Creator, they do not believe in coming to Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, and they do not believe in the Holy Spirit as a divine person. That includes the churches of today who have thrown out the Gospel of Christ to become a part of the community family. Instead of coming apart from the ways of the world to live for God through Jesus, they have molded with the world to join the global culture of the beast. “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.” Revelation 18:4-5
Those of this world are wearing the fig leaf of humanism for clothing as they serve the thing giving them what to think, feel, do, believe and say. They use churchy and humanitarian sounding words because they want to come across as being Godly, righteous, and doing the right thing, but nothing they say or do can be taken at face value. For example, they call the killing of the unborn “Reproductive Rights” they promote the LGBQT+ community through the “Respect for Marriage Act” etc. They allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them as they welcome the thing giving them what to believe, think, and feel. They are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
2 Timothy 3:2-5
Heaven is prepared for those who choose Jesus Christ but eternal hell for the global culture. “Be silent in the presence of the Lord God; For the day of the Lord is at hand, for the Lord has prepared a sacrifice; He has invited His guests.” Zephaniah 1:7
The sacrifice the Lord prepared for us is the Lamb, Jesus Christ, as quoted, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Everyone who receives Jesus Christ for the remission of sin is reconciled to God and invited to the wedding ceremony in the eternal New Jerusalem, as quoted,
“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ Revelation 19:7-9 “And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17
“And it shall be, in the day of the Lord’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with foreign apparel. In the same day I will punish all those who leap over the threshold, who fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.” Zephaniah 1:8-9
Those who reject the sacrifice of the Lamb of God by refusing the remission of sin through Jesus Christ will experience eternal hell. That includes everyone who governs and lives for the global culture of the beast. They are clothed with the foreign apparel of the thing giving them what to think, feel, do, and say as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. Foreign apparel refers to filling the human spirit with things which cut people off from Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The global culture detests the life of Holiness. They have filled God’s creation with violence and deceit and continue to do so as we progress towards global turbulence.
“The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:13-15
The global economy collapses to bring worldwide ruin. “And there shall be on that day,” says the Lord, “The sound of a mournful cry from the Fish Gate, a wailing from the Second Quarter, and a loud crashing from the hills. Wail, you inhabitants of Maktesh! For all the merchant people are cut down; All those who handle money are cut off.” Zephaniah 1:10-11
The Fish Gate would refer to the main gate where commerce would be imported into the city. The Second Quarter would refer to a place where cities are built up like a bustling metropolis. The hills would refer to city areas just outside of the metropolis. The area of Maktesh would refer to rural areas in the country and poorer cities. The collapse of the economy is so devastating that there is no place untouched. There is a mournful cry from the center of trade and commerce, a wailing from the largest cities, a loud crashing from the suburbs, and wailing from even the poorest of areas. “For all the merchant people are cut down; All those who handle money are cut off.“
The global government of the beast is going to suffer a complete economic collapse. The global economy is going to come crashing down and it will affect the largest and most robust economies all the way down to even the poorest of areas. The is no salvation in the digital currency. Revelation 18 describes the downfall of the global economy. As quoted below,
And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.”
“The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore:
Revelation 18:2-3, 9-11
Complacency of not acknowledging good nor evil. “And it shall come to pass at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and punish the men who are settled in complacency, who say in their heart, ‘The Lord will not do good, nor will He do evil.’” Zephaniah 1:12
The following verse is from the words to the Seventh Church, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.“ Revelation 3:15-17 Click here for a post on the Seventh Church.
The world we live in today feel no need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. They are completely complacent and indifferent to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, including the churches which have partnered with the anti-Christian community of the global culture. They depend on the thing with power over physiology to control people by giving them what to think, feel, say, do and believe. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through the masses in every city around the world. They are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. They think they have sin conquered without our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lamp that God uses to search for us is the Light of Jesus Christ. He wants to see His Son Jesus living within our spirit and soul. He wants to see the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) applied to our heart for the remission of sin which reconciles us to Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ shares a parable with us about keeping oil in our lamp in anticipation of His return. As long as our spirit shines with the oil of the Holy Spirit then He will see us and welcome us into the eternal New Jerusalem. By the remission of sin, we receive the light of the Holy Spirit in our spirit. If there is no oil in the lamp of our spirit, then there will only be darkness and he will not see us on the day He returns. Click here for the parable about keeping oil in the lamp.
“Therefore their goods shall become booty, and their houses a desolation; They shall build houses, but not inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine.” Zephaniah 1:13
The goods that become booty is the Holy Spirit who is stolen from this world by the thing which has power over physiology to form what we think, feel, and believe. It makes the house of the Holy Spirit desolate, which is our body, as quoted, “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “he” in that verse refers to the “man of sin”, the “lawless one”, the “son of perdition”. To build houses but not inhabit them refers to how our body is created by God to be built with the Holy Spirit but instead are built with something else. It is not possible to live in the house of the Holy Spirit when the anti-Christian thing inhabits our thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. “Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him….Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:16-18, 19
To plant vineyards but not drink their wine refers to planting the human spirit and soul with something other than the Gospel of Jesus Christ (the New Wine) and not allowing the fruit of the Holy Spirit to blossom. The thing with power over physiology is not spiritual and opposes the fruit of the Spirit. With the thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors it gives people, there is a wall built between the human spirit and the remission of sin through the New Wine of Jesus Christ. “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Galatians 5:17-18
Today, we see the approaching of the Day of the Lord. “The great day of the Lord is near; It is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the day of the Lord is bitter; There the mighty men shall cry out.” Zephaniah 1:14
We know the Day of the Lord is near for reasons all the world can see,
- We are within the “42 months” when the beast has been given authority within this world, “And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.” Revelation 13:5
The “he” in the verse above refers to the beast behind the image and mark of the beast. The “42 months” began when the government of the beast was established immediately after WW2 when the United Nations was established as described in Daniel 8. Its foundation is built on the thing which gives people what to think, feel, do, and say as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through the masses in every city around the world. They are conformed to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. - As written above, the image of the beast is in this world as it lives and speaks through people empowered by the thing forming thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. People are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do, and they form the global culture in every city around the world.
- Obviously, the global government is here as every nation around the world are conforming to the global goals of the United Nations. It is the global government of the beast because they derive their power and authority through the masses around the world who live by the anti-Christian thing forming what they think, feel, do and say.
One of the main objectives of the global government is to remove boundaries created by political and religious beliefs to prepare the world for the one world government. “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “he” in that verse refers to the “man of sin”, the “lawless one”, or the “son of perdition”. The global government of the beast derives its power by sitting in the temple of God, our body, within thoughts and feelings to form what is said, done, and believed.
The formation of the global government is described in Revelation 17 as well as Daniel 8. - Global warming is here as described in the Fourth Plague in Revelation 16:8-9. Global warming is progressing hand in hand with the global government. As the global government becomes stronger and stronger, global warming becomes hotter and hotter.
Global warming is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast (Fifth Plague) which means the collapse of the global government of the beast. When that happens, there will be nothing remaining to give people what to think, feel, say, do, and believe. The image of the beast will no longer be living and speaking through people and the mark of the beast will no longer be functional. When that happens, it gives rise to the Battle of Armageddon (Sixth Plague). All of that is explained in Revelation 16:8-17.
WW3 could happen and that still would not be the Battle of Armageddon. Whatever wars, battles, or any other conflict that occurs in these present times, it only serves to give more dominance and power to the global government of the beast (United Nations).
As long as the thing exists that has power over thoughts, feelings, words, behaviors, and beliefs then the Battle of Armageddon is not here. When the power center of the beast plunges into darkness, that is the end of uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, extraordinary skills and talents, amazing physical abilities, un-approachable power, and authority, etc. That will unleash a world of people out for revenge against the oppression of the global government of the beast. Whenever that happens, then the next significant event is the Battle of Armageddon. Jesus Christ comes back during the Seventh Plague and Seventh Trumpet.
That day is a day of wrath,
A day of trouble and distress,
A day of devastation and desolation,
A day of darkness and gloominess,
A day of clouds and thick darkness,
A day of trumpet and alarm
Against the fortified cities
And against the high towers.

“I will bring distress upon men,
And they shall walk like blind men,
Because they have sinned against the Lord;
Their blood shall be poured out like dust,

‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
