The New Covenant brings life-giving healings to the soul and faith to believe in Jesus Christ

John 4:46-54

  • The Lord Jesus came to bring the New Covenant, but people want physical healings.
  • Jesus Christ wants us to believe by faith, not by sight.
  • Those of this world will “gaslight” the followers of Jesus Christ.
  • The miracles of Christ fosters belief for the remission of sin.
  • The miracle healings of the soul which Jesus does are verifiable.
  • There is a connection between when we meet Jesus and the change in our soul.
  • Two miracles of Christ reveal the New Covenant and fosters belief in Him.

The Lord Jesus came to bring the New Covenant but people want physical healings. “So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.”” John 4:46-47

The Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance that the Lord Jesus turned water into wine at the same place where a state official asked a healing for his son. The Holy Spirit is reminding us that Jesus Christ came to shed His blood on the Cross for the atonement of sin. The wine is the New Covenant, which is summed up in this way, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Unfortunately, people ask for physical miracles of healing instead of believing the word of Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

We can assess that healing is found in the miracle of the water being made into wine. That symbolizes the new wine of the New Testament referring to our Lord Jesus Christ shedding His blood on the Cross to reconcile us to God by the remission of sin. In a sense, the Old Testament is the water turned into wine by the coming of Jesus.

The diagnosis is that those of the global culture does not want to ask for spiritual healing, but they are at the point of death. They are at the point of death by denying God the Creator, rejecting what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross, and ridiculing the presence of the Holy Spirit. They allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them as they welcome the thing which gives them what to think, feel, do, and say. They are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

We plan to seek healing of the soul and spirit by acknowledging the miracle of the water turned into wine which represents being born again by living for Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. We implement that plan by coming to the Cross of Christ for the forgiveness of sin to be reconciled to God our Creator. We know the plan is successful when we implore our Lord Jesus to bring the healing of the spirit and soul for others. We know the Gospel of Christ is able to heal the soul, give spiritual life, and eternal life.

Jesus Christ wants us to believe by faith, not by sight.  “Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” John 4:48

Our belief in Jesus Christ has to be through faith, not by the physical signs found within this world, “… without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 The world we live in today has no belief in anything spiritual, sacred, Divine, nor beyond the grave. They are rooted in the physical world, which is exactly the description of humanism, which is the fig leaf of clothing worn by those who govern and live by the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do.

Humanism is “… an outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanist beliefs stress the potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasize common human needs, and seek solely rational ways of solving human problems.”

Signs and wonders are used by the thing which has power over physiology and external elements to persuade people to follow the thing which forms what people feel, think, say and do. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. The masses are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. (The Lord Jesus doesn’t want us to seek after signs and wonders, but to seek after the remission of sin by living for Him.)

The thing which has power over physiology persuades people in every city around the world to follow it by its signs and wonders. People follow it for its physical healings, social approval, endowment of uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, authority, physical comforts, sensual pleasures, artificial emotional responses, extraordinary skills, amazing physical abilities etc.

He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.

Revelation 13:13-14 and Revelation 13:3

We can assess that believing in Jesus Christ is independent of seeing miracles, physical healings, and all sorts of signs and wonders. The diagnosis is that those who live and govern for the global culture depends on all sorts of worldly signs and wonders from the thing which has power over physiology. They thrive on boasting, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war with him?” They by no means believe in God the Creator who sent His Son Jesus for the remission of sin. We plan to separate worldly signs and wonders from our belief in Jesus Christ who heals the spirit and soul. We implement that plan by focusing on the Spirit and realizing the greatest miracle of all is when someone receives Jesus Christ according to His Gospel. We know the plan is successful when signs, wonders, healings, and miracles of all types are no longer the basis of our belief in the Lord Jesus. Our faith is rooted in the belief that God raised Jesus from the dead and we say that Jesus is Lord.

Those of this world will “gaslight” the followers of Jesus Christ. “The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” John 4:49

Jesus Christ wants our faith to be without expecting physical miracles, but those of this world expect His followers to care very much about the death of this planet and the tragedy happening to their global child. Jesus often rebuked people and called them faithless for asking Him for physical healings and not seeing Him as the Savior of the world by the remission of sin, as quoted, “Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” Matthew 17:14-17 Those of this world use socially charged inhumanities to “gaslight” Christians. However, Jesus Christ came to heal souls to reconcile us to God by the remission of sin, that is God’s way of healing the world of what ails it.

Today, “gaslighting” is a term for making people feel and think they are somehow responsible for the bad that happens in the world. As followers of Jesus Christ, they make us doubt our faith for not donating to charitable causes, for not submitting ourselves to be their personal handy person, and for not demanding conformity to the global goals etc. They are saying to us, “Come down before my child dies!” They expect Christians to be an individual form of the Goodwill, or Red Cross, or the Salvation Army instead of being those who are given the commission to bring the Gospel of Christ to all the world.

The “gas lighters” do not allow us to speak a word to tell them that the help and healing this world needs does not come by physical means nor by human efforts. The help and healing which this world needs comes by the Spirit through the hand of God by the remission of sin through Jesus Christ. The reason Jesus did the miracle of turning the water into wine is to describe His ministry on this earth, which is to shed His blood on the Cross to make atonement for sin.

Those of this world demand the healing of the planet (their child) through the global goals as they welcome the thing which forms what they think, feel, say and do. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world as they demand conformity to the global goals while rejecting Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Instead of conforming to the will of God, the masses are conforming to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

The first Church of Ephesus was very busy in doing good works and hating the evil and ills in the world, but they left the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Click for a post on Revelation 2:1-7. Although they were doing their humanitarian and churchy looking works in the name of Jesus, they became a helping hand to the world instead of being the helping hand of God to spread the testimony of Jesus Christ. They were doing good works but that is not the core of the Gospel of Christ, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

“To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”

Revelation 2:1-7

We can assess that noblemen such as prestigious people and government representatives want their territory, cities, states, nation, and global government to be healed to avoid the death of this world. However, they give no thought to Jesus Christ as the healer of the spirit and soul. We plan to ask God for the healing of the spirit and soul which in turn brings healing to cities, states, nations, and the world. We implement that plan by depending on what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross for the remission of sin and not depending on human efforts and desires to heal our world. We know the plan is successful when we focus on the Kingdom of God more than what we focus on establishing the global culture through the global goals.

The miracles of Christ fosters belief for the remission of sin. “Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.” John 4:50

When Jesus Christ does a miracle, it is to bring life and spiritual healing. His healings are to bring people to believe in Him as the Son of God who was sent to atone for sin. It’s a healing miracle of the Spirit when people believe the Gospel of Christ as recorded in the Holy Bible. As followers of Jesus, we want to see the miracles of people coming to believe in God, to accept the need for Jesus Christ, and to embrace the Holy Spirit.

The thing which has power over physiology does physical healings to bring people to welcome the thing which forms what they feel, think, say and do. It detests spiritual life and the Spirit of Christ as it seeks to kill the human spirit to build a wall to the Spirit of Christ. It blasphemes God, discards the need for Jesus, and tramples on the Holy Spirit. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people and as it lives and speaks through them it conforms them to their place in life, their mark in life. They are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

We can assess that spiritual life by the remission of sin does not come by physical healings but comes by believing the testimony of Jesus Christ. The diagnosis is that the global culture serves the physical nature of the creature human being while rejecting God as the Creator of this planet and everything in it. We plan to build our life in the Spirit according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We implement that plan by believing the testimony of Jesus Christ who said He is the Son of God who came to atone for sin to reconcile us to God. We know the plan is successful when we realize physical healings do not bring spiritual healings nor salvation, but only believing in God through Jesus Christ is our Salvation.

The miracle healings of the soul which Jesus does are verifiable. “And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!” Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.  “So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.” John 4:51-53

The nobleman was told, “Your son lives!” and it was verified that it happened at the exact hour in which our Lord Jesus told the nobleman that his son would live. Today, the life we are given in the Spirit is verifiable from the very hour that we believe the Gospel of Christ.

We can testify according to the words below,

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see

When people receive Jesus Christ into their life, the change is verifiable and undeniable. Those who are born again by the Spirit have a different spirit then those who welcome the thing which gives them what to feel, think, do, and say. We live to allow the image of Jesus Christ to live and speak through us, but the global culture allows the image of the beast to live and speak through them by the thing forming their thoughts and feelings. We focus our life on the eternal Kingdom of God, but those of this world are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture. We are groomed to the image of Christ by what we say and do, but those of the global culture are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

We can assess that the healing our Lord Jesus does causes us to live in the Spirit according to His word. His spoken word is that whoever comes to God through Him will live and have eternal life. The life given to us in the Spirit is verifiable by the change within our heart and soul. The diagnosis is that those who live for the thing forming their feelings, thoughts, words, and behaviors will never experience being born again of the Holy Spirit. We plan to follow the word of God and live for the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that we can proclaim that we no longer live for the benefits of this world nor of the flesh, but it is Christ who lives in us. We implement that plan through our faith in Jesus Christ which reconciles us to God to bring life to our spirit through the Holy Spirit. We know the plan is successful when our life in the Spirit is verifiable as we are set apart from the ways of the global culture to live for Jesus Christ.

Two miracles of Christ reveal the New Covenant and fosters belief in Him. “This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.” John 4:5

The two miracles refer to changing the water into wine and healing a child who was near death. The first miracle refers to the Lord Jesus as being the New Wine, which is the New Covenant as described here, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 The second miracle refers to fostering belief in Jesus Christ as the giver of spiritual life and eternal life, as stated here, “For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.” John 5:21 Jesus is the resurrection and life.

We live in a world today where the Gospel of Christ is rejected, and the human spirit is hardened against being born again in the spirit through Jesus Christ. People in every city around the world welcome the thing giving them what to think, feel, say and do which causes them to reject the Spirit. The masses allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them by the thing forming their thoughts and feelings. They do not acknowledge God as their Creator, do not believe the testimony of Jesus Christ, and are hardened against the Holy Spirit. They are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

We can assess that the first two signs Jesus gave us sum up the purpose of His coming. The first represents Him giving His life on the Cross to atone for sin, and the second reveals the life He gives in the Spirit as we believe in Him. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. The diagnosis is that today’s global culture discards the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ and hardens the human spirit against life in the Spirit of Christ.

We plan to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the New Wine (New Testament) which brings spiritual life to us by being born again through the Holy Spirit by the remission of sin. We implement that plan by accepting what Jesus did for us on the Cross to atone for sin to give us new life in the spirit and eternal life beyond the grave. We know the plan is successful as we embrace the Holy Spirit, live for Jesus Christ, and believe in God as our Creator.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
