- Jesus Christ associates with the unclean sinner.
- We leave our soul in the hands of the Lord Jesus and share His testimony.
- We feed on the Bread of Life which this world knows nothing about.
- Our food is to do the will of God and continue the testimony of Jesus.
- We should look towards the harvest of souls and towards the signs of the times.
- Sharing the Gospel and bringing others to Jesus is a shared time of rejoicing.
Jesus Christ associates with the unclean sinner. “And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?” John 4:27
Jesus and all of His disciples were Jewish, and it was a law that they did not associate with Samaritans and Gentiles. The woman was a Samaritan, whom Jesus was talking to, and she was considered to be an unclean sinner and classified among the Gentiles. “And at this point…” refers to when the disciples were returning from their trip into town and saw Jesus with the Samaritan woman at the well. Unlike the customary Jews under the control of the Pharisees, the disciples of Jesus did not condemn nor question Him about His association with an unclean sinner.
Today, those who live for the “democratic” society have an unwritten law that they do not cordially associate with people who are outside their social network. It is their purpose to use negative feedback towards those who do not live by the thing forming thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and words. However, they positively reinforce those who do welcome the image of the beast to live and speak through them by the thing giving them what to think and feel. They are using behavior modification to conform people to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
Jesus Christ came to look for the unclean sinner and those not accepted by the broad way of mainstream society. The way to destruction is broad but the road leading to life is narrow.
Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.
Matthew 18:10-11
We can assess that in today’s society there are barriers to social acceptance due to those who welcome the thing forming their thoughts, words, behaviors, and feelings and those who do not welcome it. The diagnosis is that the attitude of those living for the culture of this world will never give social approval to those not living for the anti-Christian world. As Christians, we plan to remain set apart from the broad way of mainstream society because it leads to destruction and eternal hell. We plan to remain on the narrow road leading to eternal life. We implement that plan by living in the mercy and grace of God through Jesus Christ. We desire to let the light of Christ shine through us to the broken-hearted, outcasts, and sinners to bring the Good News of victory over sin and death. We know the plan is successful when we reach out to whoever we can to let them know, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
We leave our soul in the hands of the Lord Jesus and share His testimony. “The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men,” John 4:28
The “unclean” Samaritan woman left her waterpot with Jesus and immediately went to tell others about our Lord Jesus Christ. Our body is the waterpot of the soul which we must leave with Jesus Christ for the infilling of the Water of Life. We then go to others to share His Gospel.
…and said “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” John 4:29
When Jesus Christ fills us with the Holy Spirit, a desire is born within us to share His word with others. The work of the Holy Spirit is to lift up the name of Jesus to bring people to the Cross for the remission of sin. We want them to know that the Lord Jesus knows all of the ugly sinful truths about us, but by the mercy and grace of God He still wants to be a part of our life.
“Then they went out of the city and came to Him.” John 4:30
We want others to respond to the testimony of Jesus the way the men did after the Samaritan woman told them about Him. We want people to believe in God the Creator above the creature human being. The desire is for others to come to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior by the remission of sin. By receiving Jesus Christ, the waterpot of the soul is filled with the Holy Spirit.
Today, people are leaving their waterpot, their soul, with the thing which blasphemes God, discards the need for Jesus Christ, and tramples on the Holy Spirit. They are not supportive of the life of Holiness. Their waterpots are filled with the practices of humanism as the creation is exalted above the Creator God. With a bunch of humanitarian and churchy sounding words they require people to welcome the thing which forms what they think, feel, say and do. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them as they are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
We can assess that it’s a good thing to leave the waterpot of our soul with Jesus Christ to fill us with the Water of Life. The diagnosis is that people are not leaving the waterpot of the soul with Jesus Christ but are filled with the anti-Christian thing which gives them what to think, feel, do and say. We plan to come to Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and to have the waterpot of our soul filled with the Holy Spirit. We implement that plan by admitting our soul is empty, void, and filled with sin without the infilling of the Water of Life through Jesus Christ. We know the plan is successful when we have a desire within us to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ known to others.
We feed on the Bread of Life which this world knows nothing about. “In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” John 4:31-32
At this time, Jesus is aware of the amazement of His disciples when they saw Him unlawfully associating with an unclean Samaritan woman. Our Lord Jesus declined to eat the bread His disciples were offering because He had a very important lesson to teach them. The lesson given is to learn Jesus Christ has an altogether different type of food, a food from the Spirit of God which satisfies the hunger for the Salvation of unclean sinners. When the Holy Spirit is in us, there is a hunger to make the testimony of Jesus known which only the Bread from Heaven can satisfy.
Jesus teaches us that life is more than food and the body is more than clothing and humanity should not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. The word from the mouth of God is the Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit in us, and of course they agree together because they are one.
Today, we live in a world where everything is centered around the needs of the human being, such as food etc. The need for Jesus Christ has been tossed from this world as they worship the creature human being and all of creation instead of God the Creator. It is humanism rooted in the thing which forms what people think, feels, says and does. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people and that is the bread that the masses around the world are living on. As it lives and speaks through people, they are conformed to their place in life, to their mark in life, as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we reject the bread fed to us by the thing which feeds what we think, feel, say and do. It is deadly to our life in Christ as it denies God, rejects the need for the remission of sin through the Lord Jesus, and ridicules the presence of the Holy Spirit. We have bread that they know nothing about, a bread which they deny even exists, it is the Bread of Life given by the Spirit Christ.
We can assess that the food which feeds the spirit and soul is more important than the food which feeds the body. The diagnosis is that those of this world are not familiar with the Bread of Life and live only for the needs of the flesh as they discard the need for the spirit. “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:6-8
We plan to acknowledge the food which feeds the spirit and nourishes us in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. We know how important it is to nourish a life a Holiness. We implement the plan by reconciling to the Spirit of God through the Lord Jesus Christ who gives us the Holy Spirit, the Bread of Life. We know the plan is successful because we live for the nourishment of the soul and not solely for the desires of the flesh. As followers of Jesus Christ, we do not live by bread alone but by every word of God. “You…are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.” Romans 8:9
Our food is to do the will of God and continue the testimony of Jesus. “Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” John 4:33-34
The will of God is that all people would be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ by the remission of sin, and to be set apart from this world by the infilling of the Holy Spirit. To finish the work of God refers to the atonement for sin which Jesus did for us on the Cross. When Jesus Christ said “It is finished” as the last words He spoke on the Cross, it means He finished His work here on earth.
The reason Jesus Christ spoke to the unclean Samaritan woman was to fulfill the will of His father, which is to reconcile unclean sinners to God. That is the lesson the disciples needed to learn, that as His followers it is necessary to forget all the customs and laws that builds barriers to knowing Him. We eat from the Bread of life of the Gospel of Christ, not from the bread of this world. As His followers, we do not consider people to be unclean sinners and we are righteous above them, we are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God. Anyone who believes in Him will be saved and inherit eternal life.
Today, the masses of the “democratic” society hasn’t a clue what the Bread of Life is because they deny confessing that we are sinners. Instead, they focus on human dignity, respect, and esteem to bring salvation to the world as they toss aside the bread of the Gospel of Christ. Instead of relying on the remission of sin, they rely on the thing which has power over physiology. They believe its ability to form what we feel, think, say and do is all that is needed to build heaven on earth. However, it is of Satan and gives life to the image of the beast to live and speak through people. People in every city around the world are being conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.
We can assess that the food of those who follow the Lord Jesus Christ is to do the will God, which is to make the Gospel of Christ known to the whoever. The diagnosis is that those living for this world does not comprehend living for God from the Bread of Life. We plan to set ourselves apart from the carnal food of this world to feed on the Holy Spirit to embrace the life of Holiness. We implement that plan by doing the will of God and acknowledging our need for His Son Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. We know the plan is successful when we feed on the word of God and the Holy Spirit and desire to see others come to Jesus Christ.
We should look towards the harvest of souls and towards the signs of the times. “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” John 4:35
It’s one thing to be able to predict when the farm fields will be ripe for harvest, but quite another thing to see the souls which is ripe to come to Jesus Christ. Jesus wanted His disciples to see the harvest of unclean sinners ready to receive His testimony about the Kingdom of God. More specifically, He wanted His disciples to see unclean Gentiles and Samarians as being part of the harvest of souls which God sent Him for the atonement for their sin.
Today, every city is filled with unclean sinners which should be considered a field with a potential harvest of souls. That is the harvest of souls which the Gospel of Christ reached from the beginning of His ministry to about the end of WW2. For almost two thousand years (From the days of Jesus to about 1946) there was a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and people came to the Lord Jesus from every corner of the world. The United Nations was established immediately after WW2 (as described in Daniel 8), which is the global government of the beast, and since that time the Gospel has rapidly disappeared. The Gospel of Christ is no longer in the churches, not in government lawmaking, not in the educational system, and not wanted in any sector of society.
Today, Jesus also wants us to keep our eyes on the signs of the times, which points to the last days, and Matthew 24 as well as Luke 21 describes those signs. These are days when love has gone cold, the Holy Spirit has been taken from this world, and all the world follows the beast except those whose name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. People in every city around the world welcome the thing which forms what they think, feel, say and do which blasphemes God, discards the need for Jesus, and tramples on the Holy Spirit. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. As it lives and speaks through them, they are conformed to their place in life, or mark in life, as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.
Even though we live in a world which shuns the Gospel of Christ, it is still true that today is the day of Salvation and if we hear His voice, we must not harden our heart. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16.
We can assess that we know ahead of time when the time comes for the crop in the field to be harvested. The diagnosis is that we should monitor the spiritual crop of this world to know what the harvest of souls for Jesus Christ looks like. We plan to keep in mind that the “…spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.” Revelation 19:10 When we want to know where the world is within prophecy we look to see where Jesus is within the world. We implement that plan by comparing the words written in the Holy Bible to what the world is actually like. We know the plan is successful when we can look at the world and gauge what the harvest of souls for the Lord Jesus is.
Sharing the Gospel and bringing others to Jesus is a joint time of rejoicing. “And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.” John 4:36
The wages of living for the Gospel of Jesus Christ is eternal life. When a person is reconciled to God by the remission of sin through Jesus those are fruits gathered for eternal life. The person who plants the seed of the testimony of Jesus and those who brings a person to Christ after the seed is planted both rejoice together. The sower of the Gospel seed, those who reap the fruit of that seed, and those who are reaped all receive eternal life. We share the Good News, and another person brings a person to Christ when they are ready. All three receive eternal life, those who share the Gospel, those who brings others to Christ, and the saved person.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither clouds nor winter’s chilling breeze;
By and by the harvest, and the labor ended,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
Church Hymn
Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping’s over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
We can assess that reaping from spiritual rewards is a time of rejoicing for the one who sows and the one who reaps. The one who sows to the Spirit rejoices together with the one who reaps the soul which blossoms in the Spirit. The diagnosis is that people in every city around the world fights against the Spirit to take away the rejoicing which comes from coming to God through Jesus Christ. We plan to work together with those who plant the Gospel Seed and those who bring others to Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. We implement that plan by being glad for those who share the testimony of Jesus as well as being glad for those who have the privilege of seeing people blossom in Christ. We know that plan is successful when we realize the equal importance of those who plant the seed but see no visible results as well as see the importance of those who see people confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We enter into the labor of God’s people before us. “For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” John 4:37-38
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are only bringing the Gospel of Christ according to the work which has already been done. Everything which we share is from the foundation which someone else has already laid. In that sense, we are reaping something which we have not did any work to accomplish. Jesus Christ is the one who gave His life on the Cross to make atonement for sin, we only tell others of that sacrifice. Likewise, it is the Apostles and writers of the Gospels which gives us the message to share, a message given to them by the Lord Jesus Christ. We have entered into their labors as we tell others, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The Apostles themselves were reaping what others had worked to make happen. The prophets of the Old Testament labored to prepare people to receive Jesus Christ as their Messiah by giving us the “scarlet cord”. John the Baptist verifies that as he quotes the Old Testament from Isaiah 40:3 when he said he was, ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” John 1:23 All of the Apostles and writers of the Gospel followed the “scarlet cord” of the Old Testament writers to point to Jesus Christ. Isaiah 53 is an excellent example of the “scarlet cord” which points to Jesus Christ as the one sent to atone for sin. The disciples of the Lord Jesus had entered into the labors of the Prophets before them.
The society we live in today has erased the labors of God’s people by eliminating the Gospel of Christ. Their intent is to remove the foundation and heritage of the testimony of Jesus Christ. The labor of that heritage includes all Bible prophecy, the death and resurrection of Jesus, the need for the remission of sin through Jesus, the ascension of Jesus into Heaven, eternal life for Believers, and the judgment to come. The Gospel is no longer in the churches, Biblical values are no longer in the process of government lawmaking, the educational system has thrown out the teachings of the Bible, and Christianity is not welcomed in their “democratic” society.
We are living in the days of the thing which forms what people think, feel, say and do to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through people. The global government derives its power and authority through those who allow it to live and speak through them. That is why they want the Good News of Jesus Christ to be eliminated. Jesus makes us the temple of the Holy Spirit instead of the temple for the thing which inserts itself into thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It wants to set itself up as God within us as if it were God, “…it opposes and exalts itself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that it sits as God in the temple of God, showing itself that it is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4
As people allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them, they are conformed to their place in life, their mark in life, as they are groomed to the mark of the beast. It is a place which blasphemes God, discards the need for Jesus Christ, and tramples on the Holy Spirit. They discard anything to do with past labors or Biblical heritage. They are the masses which make-up the global culture of today.
We can assess that as followers of Jesus Christ we have entered into the labor of sharing the Gospel which was started thousands of years ago. We have entered into the labor of those before us. The diagnosis is that there is no new work for us to do but we build on the foundation already laid. The plan is to use the “scarlet cord” of the Old Testament and the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the New Testament to carry the work of God forward. We implement that plan by sharing the Good News in such a way as to show how the Old Testament points to Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior spoken about in the New Testament. The plan is successful when we build on the work of God which was started thousands of years ago through the Prophets and Apostles.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
