Today, people live by the words, “my body my choice” but we are created for the body to be the home of the Holy Spirit.

Haggai 1:1-6

“In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest,” Haggai 1:1

Zerubbabel and Joshua were the two put in charge of rebuilding the temple in preparation of being freed from their captivity. Through the word of God, the prophet Haggai was preparing all of the Israelites for the rebuilding of the temple during their time of freedom. Their captivity began with Nebuchadnezzar, who destroyed the first temple, and lasted for seventy years. The book of Daniel was written during that seventy-year period of captivity.

“Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.” Haggai 1:2

Under Darius, the Israelites were reluctant to prepare for their freedom and were not responsive to Haggai’s call to prepare to rebuild the temple of God. The Israelites said that their time of freedom had not come and was not the time to be discussing the rebuilding of the house of God. Today, Jesus Christ has come to tell us to prepare to build a house for the Holy Spirit, and our body is the house of the Holy Spirit. However, the masses in every city around the world are not responsive to that message. They do not believe in the remission of sin through Jesus Christ and that is the only way to build ourselves up in the Holy Spirit.

“Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!” Haggai 1:3-5

Haggai wanted the Israelites to prepare themselves by reconciling to God after being in captivity to a non-Jewish culture for seventy-years. Through the word of God, Haggai knew the time of freedom was near and was time to prepare to rebuild the temple of the Lord. The Israelites were becoming accustomed to living in captivity within the comfort of nice houses by worldly standards. While they were enjoying the comfort of their paneled houses, the temple of God was laying in ruins. Haggai let them know they must consider their ways and choose to prepare to rebuild the house of God and to leave their houses of worldly comfort.

Today, people prefer to live in the paneled house within themselves while their body lays in ruins as the house of God. Their paneled house is built by the thing which has power over physiology and forms their feelings, thoughts, words, and behaviors. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. Their paneled house comes complete with luxuries of every type. They are empowered with uncanny knowledge, heightened intuition, physical and emotional comforts, sensual pleasures, extraordinary skills and talents, amazing physical abilities and feats, uncanny authority over others, etc. They have no desire to consider their worldly ways and to be rebuilt as the house of the Holy Spirit. Within their “paneled houses” they are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

“You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Haggai 6

People everywhere are feeding on something which is not enough to nourish and grow the spirit to give life to the Holy Spirit. They are feeding on the thing which gives them what to think, feel, say, and do. To “sow much and bring in little” is to invest in the creature human being while not receiving any dividends in the Spirit. They eat what the global culture feeds them, but it is not enough to feed the spirit with the Bread of Life (Jesus Christ). They drink whatever the thing with power over physiology serves them, but they are not filled with the Water of Life (Jesus Christ). They wear the fig leaf of the clothing of humanism, but the warmth of the Holy Spirit does not exist from one person to the next. The wages they earn are the wages of sin which brings death as the Holy Spirit falls through the holes of their spiritual money bag.

The verse above also describes the global economy under the rule of the United Nations (global government of the beast). One of their objectives is to implement “responsible consumption” by controlling what is produced. In other words, they tell manufacturers and food producers how much output is needed, and the population of the world is limited to consume according to what is produced. The United Nations say their goal is to protect the planet from being over harvested relating to earth and ocean resources.

When it is said that wages go into a “bag with holes” we already know the framework of digital currency is here. In other words, people’s wages will never be seen by the wage earners but will just be credits in an account somewhere. Digital currency is a tool to monitor and control consumption. The Holy Spirit in Zachariah 8:10 says this, “… these days there were no wages for man nor any hire for beast; There was no peace from the enemy for whoever went out or came in; For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor.” Click here for a post on that verse.

We can assess that those of this world prefers giving their body to the thing forming their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors than to dedicate themselves as the home of the Holy Spirit. The diagnosis is that masses around the world are empty of belief in God, empty of Jesus Christ who puts sin in remission, and are empty of the Holy Spirit. They have nothing in the life of Holiness. We plan to welcome the remission of sin through Jesus Christ to make us the home of the Holy Spirit. We implement that plan by reconciling to God and accepting what Jesus Christ has done for us on the Cross to atone for sin. We know the plan is successful when we allow the Holy Spirit to fill us while evicting a life centered around the carnal flesh.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
