The Lord Jesus gives the Living Water to whoever desires to drink.

“Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10

The gift of God comes in the form of the remission of sin, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and eternal life. Jesus Christ asks each of us to give Him a drink to quench His thirst for the Salvation of unclean sinners. He thirsts to forgive our sin, He thirsts to fill us with the Holy Spirit, and He thirsts to give us eternal life. His thirst is quenched when we ask Him to give us the Water of Life. When we realize who Jesus is, that He is the Son of God sent to make atonement for sin, then we would ask Him to give us the Water of Life. The Spirit of Christ is the Water of Life which nourishes the human spirit.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jesus Christ came to the Jewish nation exclusively, but He needed to go through Samaria, a place despised by the Jewish people and considered to be unclean. He brought Salvation to an unclean Samaritan woman and His Gospel spread throughout Samaria through her. Jesus never excludes anyone from drinking from His Water of Life. God gives the gift of redemption and eternal life to whoever desires His Son Jesus Christ.

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelation 22:17

Unfortunately, we live in a global culture which does not want anyone to know the gift of God and who Jesus Christ is. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus is no longer found in the churches, no longer within the policies of government lawmakers, no longer in the educational system, and nowhere to be found in any sector of society. Those who live and govern by the thing forming thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and words do not want to hear about the gift of the remission of sin and eternal life. People in every city around the world are letting the image of the beast live and speak through them by the thing forming their thoughts and feelings. By what they say and do it’s obvious they do not know Jesus Christ and are not about to ask who He is. They are conformed to the anti-Christian global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we know who He is,

He is Lord, He is Lord.
He has risen from the dead and He is Lord.
Every knee shall bow, Every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord

And we ask Him to fill our cup with the eternal Water of Life,

Fill my cup, Lord;
I lift it up Lord;
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul.
Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.
