Jesus Christ is wearied and thirsts for sinners to save in today’s world.

John 4:6-8

“Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.” John 4:6-8

Jesus will always be sitting by the well of the Water of Life, ready and willing to fill the human spirit with the Spirit of life. Just before Jesus Christ died on the Cross, He said, “I thirst,” and the whole purpose for His dying on the Cross is because of His thirst to save souls. His death and resurrection would allow us to drink of the Living Waters of the Holy Spirit to live a life of spiritual cleanliness. The only thing this world offers to quench His thirst is “sour wine” as some type of placebo in the process of killing Christianity. John 19:28-30.

It’s no coincidence that the weary and thirsty Jesus met the Samaritan woman who was an unclean sinner. They met at Jacob’s/Israel’s well, which puts everything into perspective. It is through Jacob’s sons that the promise God made to Abraham is fulfilled. That promise was to make Abraham’s descendants as many as the grain of sand on the seashore. Since the Jewish nation rejected Jesus as their Messiah, the alternative to fulfilling the promise was to bring the Gospel of Christ to the unclean sinners of the Gentiles, you and me and all non-Jews.

All of the disciples of Jesus were Jewish, and they left Jesus to go into the city to buy food. That is when the encounter happened between Jesus and the sinner woman. Jesus intended to quench His thirst for souls by offering the Water of Life to an unclean sinner, which was a departure from the Jewish teachings. It was against the Jewish law for Jews to associate with Samaritans, and Jesus was a Jew from the Tribe of Judah. The water of Jacob’s well represents the Water of Life offered to every unclean sinner to add us to the family of God by the remission of sin through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Today, Jesus Christ is weary and thirsts for unclean sinners to save. He is weary and thirsty because the Gospel of Christ is no longer in the churches, no longer in government law-making, no longer in the educational system, and no longer has a presence in any sector of society. The agenda of the global government of the beast (the goals of the United Nations) dominates every country around the world. God is blasphemed, the need for Jesus Christ is discarded, the Holy Spirit is trampled on, and the life of Holiness is despised. The global culture exalts itself above all religion and politics so that it sits as God in the temple of God, our body, as if it were God. Click here for a post on the “man of sin”.

Jesus is weary and thirsts for souls because the temple of God, our body, has become possessed by a thing which forms what we think, feel, say and do. It enables the image of the beast to speak and live through a person and by what people say and do, they put a heavy lid over the well of the Water of Life. That is the global culture people are conformed to as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

The world follows after the beast and has no intention of nourishing the Spirit of Christ and quenching His thirst for souls to save, “All who dwell on the earth will worship it, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8

….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
‘I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.’
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
