The baptism of John and the disciples of Jesus drew many people: The Gospel of Christ once drew many people to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

John 3:22-24

“After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He remained with them and baptized.”  “Now John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized. For John had not yet been thrown into prison.” John 3:22-24

There was not just much water available for baptizing, but there was much water in the respect that people were flooding to John and the disciples of Jesus to be baptized.

John and the disciples of Jesus were baptizing at the same time but in different areas. It would be like one group baptizing on the north side of town and the other group baptizing on the south end of town. With that said, the Holy Scriptures makes it clear that Jesus was not doing water baptisms, “…though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples ” John 4:2 The baptism of Jesus is the Holy Spirit. Eventually, John was thrown into prison as a direct result of his ministry and for being “offensive” to the governing power.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ used to be shared from one side of the world to the next, and especially in the United States it was shared from one side of the nation to the other. For anyone who says that the USA was never a nation founded on God through Jesus Christ, I ask only one question, where did all the churches come from? There is practically one on every street corner. The followers of Christ were everywhere here and there. After WW2, the New World Order was established and along with forming the United Nations it brought the demise of the Gospel of Christ, as described in Daniel 8.

Today, seventy-seven years after WW2, the Gospel is absent from the churches, non-existent in government law-making, abolished in the educational system and despised in every sector of society. The United Nations is now establishing its global agenda in every nation around the world. Like John the Baptist, the followers of Christ are in a virtual prison to stop the spread of the testimony of Jesus in this present “democratic” society. It won’t be long before Christians are literally jailed for spreading “malicious content”, “hate speech,” “propaganda,” and disturbing the peace of the global culture.

The governing authorities of today are those who insist that everybody welcomes the thing which forms what we think, feel, say and do. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through a person and as it lives and speaks through a person they are conformed to their place in life. That place in life is their mark in life as they are groomed to the mark of the beast. The Gospel of Christ is offensive to them, and they consider the teachings of the Bible to be filled with hate, bigotry, violence, etc. Actually, they despise the teachings of the Bible because the Spirit of Christ makes us the home of the Holy Spirit and not the home of the thing which forms what we think, do and feel.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
