David is crowned king after the death and burial of Saul: Jesus Christ is crowned King of kings after the death and burial of Israel.

“Now therefore, let your hands be strengthened, and be valiant;
for your master Saul is dead,
and also the house of Judah has anointed me king over them.”

2 Samuel 2:7
  • The visit to Hebron, then and today.
  • The gathering within the New Jerusalem.
  • Jesus Christ is anointed King of kings and brings the resurrection of life.

The visit to Hebron, then and today. “It happened after this that David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up to any of the cities of Judah?” And the Lord said to him, “Go up.” David said, “Where shall I go up?” And He said, “To Hebron.” 2 Samuel 2:1

David consulted God at every “fork in the road” to decide which direction he should go. David also was obedient to whatever direction God appointed him to walk. That is exactly the way of the Lord Jesus. The answer from God to David’s questions was for him to go to Hebron. Hebron was a very sacred place during the days of David because that is where the Patriarchs of the Israelites were buried. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their wives were buried in what is referred to as the “Cave of the Patriarchs”. Their wives were Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah. David would be crowned king in that very sacred place of the Patriarchs. Jesus Christ would be born through the family tree of David, and David was a descendant of the family tree of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob not only gave birth to the Twelve Tribes of Israel, but they also gave birth to Christianity. That is why those Patriarchs are equally important to the Jewish people and Christians. The Patriarchs gave birth to Christianity by the promise that faith and belief in God is considered righteousness through Jesus Christ. That is what this verse is all about, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Today, the sacred place of Hebron is within the territory of the West Bank, as seen in the maps below. We are aware of the violence and conflict in the West Bank, and Israel is being robbed of their sacred heritage. In Samuel 1: 17-27 the death of Israel and the demise of the structure of Christianity is written about in David’s “Song of the Bow.” It’s prophetic that the burial place of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is within a territory hostile to both the State of Israel and Christianity. In a sense, the Lord Jesus is crowned King of kings in “Hebron” when He comes back. He is crowned King of kings in a world where the Biblical heritage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has been killed. Jesus returns after the global tribulation and Battle of Armageddon.

The global government of the beast (United Nations) is behind the death of the Biblical heritage of Israel, and behind the death of the structure of Christianity. They govern by the thing which sets itself up as God in the temple of God, our body, as if it is God. It does that through the thing forming what people think, feel, do, and say as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through the masses of people around the world. By what they say and do, they are hostile to the “right wing” government of the State of Israel and to Christianity. They blaspheme God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The masses of people are conformed to their place within the “democratic” global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

Today, Hebron is in the Judean valley of the West Bank (David and Jesus Christ are from the Tribe of Judah). The West Bank is contested territory where much violence is taking place. The United Nations, including the United States, is telling Israel to stop their aggression and give up the territory as part of a two-state solution. The Palestinians would be given the West Bank as their own state, and the State of Israel would stay with what they have.

Hebron can be seen in the image above, in the area of the red square. That is where Israel’s the “Cave of the Patriarchs” is but is also in the territory of the West Bank.

The picture above is how the State of Israel looks today. The West Bank and Gaza Strip are the territories in white because they are not considered to be Israel’s exclusive territories. Those are the proposed territories of the two-state solution. The West Bank would become the Palestinians’ state while Israel would keep whatever is left of what they have.

The picture above is the land given to the Twelve Tribes of Israel in Ezekiel 48. As you can see, it is an exact mirror image of the State of Israel today, before the West Bank and Gaza Strip ate a big chunk out of her.

The gathering within the New Jerusalem. “So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite. And David brought up the men who were with him, every man with his household. So they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.” 2 Samuel 2:2-3

We know that Hebron of today and yesterday is a place where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are dead and buried, and they gave birth to the Twelve Tribes of Israel and to Christianity. Jesus Christ is from the Tribe of Judah. From that, we know the Lord Jesus is coming back after the death of Israel and after the demise of the structure of Christianity. The cities of Hebron represent the mansions which Jesus Christ went to prepare for us in Heaven.

When David went to Hebron, those with him symbolize the “scarlet cord” connecting the Old Testament to the New Testament. It represents who will be in the New Jerusalem within the new heaven and new earth. Those in Heaven will be the faithful of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, those who help to feed the sheep of the family of Jesus Christ, and those who remain faithful to the Gospel of Christ. As explained below,

  1. Ahinoam. One of David’s wives was named Ahinoam, which happens to be the name of Saul’s wife (1 Samuel 14:50). Some say it definitely was Saul’s wife and Saul represents the State of Israel without Jesus Christ. With that being the case, it points to Jesus Christ always keeping a part of Israel with Him within the New Jerusalem, as quoted, “Also she (New Jerusalem) had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:” Revelation 21:12 While the Jewish nation has rejected Jesus Christ, many of the Israelites were valiantly faithful to God, as seen in Hebrews 11. Those faithful to Jesus Christ will enter through those gates.
  2. Abigail. Abigail was the other of David’s wife who was the wife of the spiritually wicked Nabal. Nabal was a sheepshearer who had a very rude and snobbish attitude against David and his people. Nabal represents those of today who shear Jesus Christ from the heart and mind of people. Abigail went against her husband’s wishes and did all she could to help David and his people. Today, everyone who helps and joins the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ will be in the New Jerusalem when the new heaven and earth are created.
  3. All of David’s men and all of their families. Everyone who comes to God through Jesus Christ are part of the family of God. We will be with Jesus in the New Jerusalem. “And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.” Revelation 21:6-7

Those who will not be in the New Jerusalem is plainly quoted below,

“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.

He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

Revelation 14:9-11

Anyone who patterns their life after the thing which forms what they say, do, think, and feel will not enter into the New Jerusalem. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them, and by what they say and do they are groomed to the mark of the beast. Those are the ones who habitually blasphemes God, reject the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and blasphemes the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is anointed King of kings and brings the resurrection of life. “When the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, “The men of Jabesh Gilead were the ones who buried Saul.” 2 Samuel 2:4

David was anointed king in the Judean valley of Hebron, where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were dead and buried. Their wives Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah were buried there with them. That was a sacred place and an act of nobility to be crowned king in the resting place of the sacred Patriarchs of the Israelites. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob gave birth to the Twelve Tribes of Israel and to Christianity. Jesus Christ is from the Tribe of Judah and born of a virgin birth by the Spirit of God.

Why would the Lord Jesus Christ want to be crowned King of kings in a place representing the death of Israel and the demise of Christianity? Because that is where the resurrection will take place of all the faithful of the Tribes of Israel and all those born into the family of God through Jesus Christ. God is the God of the living not the dead, and Jesus Christ is the resurrection and life, as quoted, “But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Matthew 22:31-32

The men of Jabesh Gilead gave Saul an honorable burial. They would not allow Saul’s body to be made a mockery of by being left hanging on the wall of the Philistines (their enemies) for all to see. Today, that would be like those who fear God and give honor to Israel in their death as Israel succumbs to the domination of the global government of the beast. “So David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh Gilead, and said to them, “You are blessed of the Lord, for you have shown this kindness to your lord, to Saul, and have buried him. And now may the Lord show kindness and truth to you. I also will repay you this kindness, because you have done this thing.” 2 Samuel 2:5-6 For all of us who honor Israel, the Lord Jesus will show us kindness in the life to come.

“Now therefore, let your hands be strengthened, and be valiant; for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah has anointed me king over them.” 2 Samuel 2:7

As followers of Jesus Christ, we keep a watch on Israel to sense where we are in Bible prophecy. The word of God is telling us Israel is severely wounded, even to the point of death. That is a sure sign of Bible prophecy progressing forward and that Jesus Christ is coming back as the anointed and crowned King of kings. During this time, the Holy Spirit says to let our hands be strengthened and to be valiant. With the death of Israel, the intensity of global tribulation is on the horizon, global warming (Fourth Plague, Revelation 16:8-9) will play a role in the destruction of the power center of the beast (Fifth Plague Revelation 16:10), then the Battle of Armageddon happens (Sixth Plague Revelation 16) just before the return of the Lord Jesus (Seventh Trumpet and Seventh Plague).

The death of Israel is seen as the Israeli citizens riot and protest for their “democratic” rights as defined by the global culture. Those rights include the killing of the unborn, promotion and normalization of the LGBQT+ lifestyle, the elimination of the belief in God etc. They rebel against the “right wing” government of the State of Israel. They are living by the thing which forms what they think, feel, do, and say as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them. By what they say and do, they give power and authority to the goals of the global government of the beast (United Nations). They are being conformed to their place in the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
