Learning David’s “Song of the Bow.” “Then David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son, and he told them to teach the children of Judah the Song of the Bow; indeed it is written in the Book of Jasher:” 2 Samuel 1:17-18

David’s, “Song of the Bow,” is a song for all followers of Jesus Christ to keep in mind. Saul symbolizes Israel, and Saul’s son Jonathan loved David and symbolizes Christianity. Why should we learn the “Song of the Bow,” which is mourning over the demise of Israel and Christianity? Because we must realize the death of the State of Israel and the death of the structure of Christianity is part of the prophecy of the Bible.

As Jesus Christ Himself said, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:4-5

And again, speaking of the global beast, “Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:6-8 The “him” in the verses above is the beast of the image and mark of the beast.

Death of the structure of Christianity is evident because the churches no longer are involved in bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their congregation and the world. Death of the structure of Christianity is seen because government lawmaking no longer integrates the morals of the Bible in their policies. Death of the structure of Christianity is seen because the educational system no longer allows the teaching of the Bible into their schools. Death of the structure of Christianity is seen because no sector of society welcomes Christianity. It is the faithful few who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ, without a structure of Christianity in place, who will learn David’s “Song of the Bow.” We are those whose names are in the Lamb’s Book of Life who do not join the global population in serving the beast.

The structure of the State of Israel is seen as mortally wounded in this world today. The United Nations (global government of the beast) have turned the government of Israel into an international outlaw. The government of the State of Israel has been branded a threat to global peace and security. The masses around the world protest against Israel demanding conformity to the global “democratic” goals of the United Nations. They are allowing the image of the beast to live and speak through them by the thing forming what they say, do, think, and feel. The Israelis are protesting and rioting against the “right wing” government of Israel and demanding their “democratic” rights, as defined by the global culture of the beast. America refuses to stand with Israel against the global “democratic” goals of the United Nations of peace and security in the Middle East.

Today, the faithful few followers of the Lord Jesus Christ are mourning and lamenting over Israel and Christianity. We are ripe for learning David’s “Song of the Bow.”

The “Song of the Bow” is not for the benefit of the global culture. “The beauty of Israel is slain on your high places! How the mighty have fallen! Tell it not in Gath, proclaim it not in the streets of Ashkelon— Lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.” 2 Samuel 1:19-20

The news media proclaims the fallen nature of Israel across the globe and the global culture rejoices and celebrates the triumph. This is not the victory of those of this world but is the victory of revealing God’s hand working in this modern age through fulfilled prophecy. God gathered the Jewish people to Israel in 1948 to unleash His judgment on them, as quoted, “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst.” Ezekiel 22:19-21

The “Song of the Bow” acknowledges the valiant era of Israel and Christianity. “O mountains of Gilboa, Let there be no dew nor rain upon you, nor fields of offerings. For the shield of the mighty is cast away there! The shield of Saul, not anointed with oil. From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan did not turn back, and the sword of Saul did not return empty.” 2 Samuel 1:21-22

Today, Mt. Gilboa is still a place without pleasant “rains” and “dew.” Mt. Gilboa is a place where Lebanon and Syria borders Israel, and collaborates with the Gaza Strip, Iran, and Russia against the State of Israel. The West Bank and the Temple Mount is filled with violent conflict because of the covert operations coming against Israel from the area of Mt. Gilboa. The shields of the mighty are cast away there, they are defenseless.

Israel rejected Jesus Christ and her shield is not anointed with the Holy Spirit. As is obviously seen, the Israeli population is defenseless against the thing forming what they think, feel, do, and say. It is enabling the image of the beast to live and speak through the masses of the world, and they are conformed to the global culture of the beast as they are groomed to the mark of the beast. Those same masses come against Christianity as they are hostile to belief in God, discard the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and ridicule the Holy Spirit.

The followers of Jesus Christ do not turn away from the spiritual battle, we live as the faithful few even though the structure of Christianity has been killed and buried in a grave. “The bow of Jonathan did not turn back.” On top of that, the mighty faith of the Israelites, as partially described in Hebrews 11, is not in vain. Afterall, it is through the Jewish nation that Christianity was born. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself is an Israelite, a Jew from the Tribe of Judah. “The sword of Saul did not return empty.”

The “Song of the Bow” acknowledges the unity of Christianity with Israel, in life and death. “Saul and Jonathan were beloved and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided; They were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.” 2 Samuel 1:23

Saul and Jonathan were beloved by David in the same way that Israel and Christianity are loved by God and Jesus Christ. The Israel we see in the world today is an Israel dead to their Biblical heritage, but in their life, they were valiant for God. In their life, they were beloved and pleasant to God. Likewise, the structure of Christianity is dead in this world today, but in its life, there was a vibrant Church alive to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in cities around the world. When the structure of Christianity was alive, it was beloved and pleasant to God and Jesus Christ.

In the death of Israel and Christianity, they are not divided. The enemies of Israel are the enemies of God and of His Son Jesus Christ. The enemies of God, Jesus Christ, the State of Israel, and Christianity is the thing which forms what people think, feel, do, and speak. It is what empowers the United Nations (global government of the beast) with power and authority. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people and by what they are given to say and do they create the global culture while enforcing the goals of the United Nations. People are being conformed to the “democratic” global society as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do. They despise the State of Israel and Christianity as they blaspheme God and His Son Jesus Christ.

We see the actions of the valiant people of Israel in Hebrews 11, and we see the valiant actions of those sharing the Gospel of Christ throughout the New Testament. Together, they were swifter than eagles and stronger than lions. They were expeditious and nimble in their battle against spiritual wickedness and remained spiritually strong through the fiercest opposition. Through the Israelites came the birth of Christianity as Jesus Christ was an Israelite from the Tribe of Judah. The battles fought by the Israelites kept the lineage alive which brought Jesus Christ into the world. Without the victories of the Israelites, Jesus Christ would not have been born and there would be no Christianity. There would be no sacrifice on the Cross for the atonement of sin, no outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and no eternal life.

Christianity is dead in the world referring to its structure as being the candlestick to shine with the light of Jesus Christ. Government lawmakers no longer allow the light of Jesus to shine in their policies. The light of Jesus no longer shines in the teachings of the educational system. The light of Jesus is no longer wanted in any sector of the “democratic” society. And the light of Jesus no longer shines in the churches. The death of the structure of Christianity comes at the hands of those working for the global goals of the United Nations. Even then, the testimony of Jesus lives within the faithful few.

The State of Israel is dead in the world referring to their Biblical heritage as Israelites but brings vibrant life to the prophecies of the Bible against Israel. The news media makes a point to display the death of Israel to all the world. They make sure the world sees the Israeli people protesting for their “democratic” rights for killing of the unborn and for LGBQT+ freedoms. They make sure the world sees how the Israelis are protesting and rioting against the “right wing” government of the State of Israel. They make sure the world sees the Israeli’s demands for conformity to the global culture of the beast. They make sure the world sees how Israel is made an international outlaw by the United Nations.

As Christians, we see how the judgment of God is coming against Israel through the global government of the beast. We see how the enemies of Israel are the enemies of God, and enormous tribulation is coming to the world culminating into the Battle of Armageddon.

The “Song of the Bow” acknowledges the royalty of Christianity being from Israel. “O daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with luxury; Who put ornaments of gold on your apparel.” 2 Samuel 1:24

The Israelites wanted a king, which was against the will of God, so He gave them Saul, who ended up being spiritually wicked. “Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah, and said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. 1 Samuel 8:4-7

Saul led the Israelites down a worldly path and clothed them with worldly prestige and luxury, He even led opposition against David (a man beloved by God from his childhood). To weep over Saul teaches us to always be respectful of those in authority.

As followers of Jesus Christ, He clothes us with prestige and luxury of Salvation and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. We mourn over the wickedness in this world, and avoid the spirit of anger, frustration, and vengeance. Christianity is the daughter of Israel, and we mourn for the Jewish people who have rejected Jesus Christ as their king and chose to have their own king within the State of Israel.

Christianity is the offspring of Israel (one could say we are daughters of Israel), and we are to mourn for the fatal condition of the State of Israel (like the daughters of Israel are called to mourn over Saul). Afterall, by being a branch on the family tree of Israel, we are clothed in scarlet and adorned with gold. Jesus Christ was a Jew and an Israelite from the Tribe of Judah and through Him, we have been made a royal people and adorned with gold by being adopted into the family of God. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” 1 Peter 2:9

The family connection Christianity has with Israel is that some of the Jewish nation was broken off so that we could be grated into the family tree. For example, the Pharisees who rejected Jesus Christ was broken off, but David, and all the men of God in the Old Testament are not broken off. Because the Jewish nation rejected Jesus as their Messiah, we were made part of the family of God because we accept Him. “And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.” Romans 11:17-18

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to mourn over the fatal situation of the State of Israel in today’s world.

The “Song of the Bow” acknowledges Christianity was slain in the worship practices of the Israelites. How the mighty have fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan was slain in your high places.” 2 Samuel 1:25

Along with king Saul and his other two sons, Jonathan was also literally killed in battle, as described in 1 Samuel 31:1-2. Prophetically, God is showing us something that applies today. The mighty which have fallen are the Israelites, and Jonathan (who loved David) represents Christianity which the Jewish people have killed within their worship rituals. The “high places” are places of worship, usually in violation of the will of God. In the case of the Israelis, they violate the will of God by refusing to worship in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

When the Lord Jesus came preaching the Kingdom of God, the Jewish nation put the final “nail in the coffin” of their falling away from God. They rejected Jesus as their Messiah and refused to come to God through Him by the atonement He made for sin on the Cross. At that very time, 2000 years ago, Christianity was slain in their worship services.

Today, the Israelis have abandoned God, Jesus Christ, and the “right wing” government of the State of Israel. They riot and protest for their “democratic” rights according to the global culture of the beast. How the mighty have fallen and Christianity killed. They have made their god the thing which forms what they think. feel, do, and say as it enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them. They are conformed to the global society as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

The “Song of the Bow” acknowledges the love of Christ for Christianity. “I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; You have been very pleasant to me; Your love to me was wonderful, surpassing the love of women.” 2 Samuel 1:26

Jonathan was a son of Saul, but he loved David and helped David to escape death. David loved him like a brother as Jonathan’s love to him was very pleasant and wonderful. The love Jonathan had for David surpassed the love of women, meaning the love shared was in the Spirit of God and surpassed the physical pleasure given by women.

The verse above is part of the “scarlet cord” pointing to the love Jesus Christ has for those who give their life for Him. Jesus calls us brothers (meaning all men and women of Christ), “For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,” Hebrews 2:11 Jesus Christ feels distress for the faithful few who live in a world where the structure of Christianity is dead. At the same time, it is His faithful few followers who are keeping His Gospel alive in this anti-Chrisian world.

For those of this world who say that Jonathan and David had a homosexual relationship, Jesus Christ says this, “Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 It’s to be expected that a carnal mind would interpret the verse above as a “gay” relationship. They do not see the scriptures through the lens of the Spirit, they do not see the Kingdom of God, and will not see the Kingdom of God in the life to come. They are living by the thing which gives them what to think, say, feel, and do.

It is also quoted, “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

The Apostle Paul spoke against the homosexual community, and he knew the life of David and the Old Testament law better than anyone ever will. He was a Pharisee of all Pharisees, meaning he was the master of all “Masters of Divinity”. On top of that, He was the Apostle to the Gentiles, chosen by Jesus Christ Himself, and filled to the brim with the Holy Spirit. He would never blaspheme the Holy Spirit by saying David was subject to vile passions, that he succumbed to the lust of men for men, or that David was a shameful person, or that within David was the penalty of eternal hell.

The Apostle Paul condemned homosexuality as quoted, “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” Romans 1:26-27

The “Song of the Bow” acknowledges the disarmament of the State of Israel. “How the mighty have fallen, And the weapons of war perished!” 2 Samuel 1:27

“…and the weapons of war perished.” That phrase is specifically speaking about the weapons of the State of Israel in reference to how they have fallen. Today, the United Nations (global government of the beast) has branded the State of Israel as an international outlaw. The government of Israel is accused of disturbing the peace and security within the global community by using police and military force. The masses of people around the world protest against the State of Israel for their violence against their Middle East neighbors. The Israeli citizens have said they will not carry out their military and police duties if their government continues their “right wing” policies. Even the United States refuse to support the State of Israel in upsetting the balance of peace and security in the region. The world is demanding the disarmament of Israel’s government, and soon it will be said of Israel, “…and the weapons of war perished.”

When that phrase, “…and the weapons of war perished,” is heard in reference to Israel, it means a lot. It means the global government of the beast has declared victory over the State of Israel. It means the surrender of Israel to their enemies of the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Russia, etc. It means the government of Israel is under the control of people governing for the goals of the United Nations (global government of the beast). It means there will be a declaration made from the United Nations of the establishment of peace in the Middle East. It means there will be a worldwide celebration of the disarmament of Israel, and glory and praise given to the global government of the beast. It means the State of Israel is dead and the judgment of God will be unleashed onto the world. It means the global tribulation will pour forth, and it means the Battle of Armageddon is on the arisen. It means the Lord Jesus Christ is very close to His return.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
