“…and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way.” 1 Samuel 30:2
When Jesus Christ comes back, He will find His people in captivity. It is not captivity to sin but is the captivity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of all of us who desire to freely share the testimony of Jesus. Already, the churches have tossed out the Gospel of Christ as the testimony of Jesus has been taken captive. Government law-making no longer includes the values of the Bible because Christian values has been taken captive. The educational system no longer teaches Bible foundations because Bible teaching has been taken captive. Every sector of society rejects Christianity because Christianity has been taken captive.
The followers of Jesus Christ are being crucified on the Cross by those who live by the thing which forms what they think, feel, do, and say. That crucifixion is to keep us in captivity without comfort. The hands of Christians are nailed to the Cross to prevent us from doing anything for the Gospel of Christ. It’s painful not to be able to help others come to Jesus Christ. The feet of Christians are nailed to the Cross to prevent us from going anywhere to spread the Gospel of Christ. It’s painful not being able to move towards those who might be receptive to the Good News. The head of Christians are fitted with a crown of painful thorns to prohibit thoughts arising inspired by the Gospel of Christ. It’s painful to be constantly brow-beaten. The heart of Christians is pierced to constantly keep us broken-hearted with heartaches galore.
Those who live by the thing which forms their thoughts and feelings are allowing the image of the beast to live and speak through them. By what they say and do, they hold the Gospel of Christ captive by denying God, rejecting what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross, and blaspheming the Holy Spirit. By what they say and do, they are conformed to their place within the anti-Christian society. They are conformed to their mark in life as they are groomed to the mark of the beast. When Jesus Christ returns, He will see those who have taken us captive, and He will bring His judgment against them.
Troublesome times are here, filling men’s hearts with fear
Freedom we all hold dear now is at stake
Humbling your hearts to God saves from the rod, seek the way pilgrims trod,
Christians awake, Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon,
Many will meet their doom, trumpets will sound.
All of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the sky, going where no one dies,
Heavenward bound!
(Church Song)
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
