‘But David’s men said to him, “Look, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?” Then David inquired of the Lord once again.” 1 Samuel 23:3-4a. David’s men felt fear to go to war on the threshing floor of Keila in the horrid situation they were in. They were pretty much outcasts and fugitives hiding from the wrath of Saul. It’s a fearful time in today’s society for Christians to even think about stepping onto the threshing floor of society where those who hold to the testimony of Jesus are being broken down and trampled on. We are pretty much non-citizens in their “democratic” society.
Today, the people of Jesus Christ may feel fear in this world surrounded by the masses of people in every city of the world who live for the “democratic” society of the beast. They live for the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do while despising Christianity. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them as they come against Christians, blasphemes God, scrutinizes Jesus Christ, and tramples on the Holy Spirit (As it lives and speaks through people they are conformed to their place in life, their mark in life, they are groomed to the mark of the beast). During this time, Jesus Christ stands in the presence of God making prayers and inquiries for us.
“And the Lord answered him and said, “Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.” 1 Samuel 23:4b. The Lord told David that the Philistines on the threshing floor would be defeated by him. Today, God has already sanctioned the coming back of Jesus Christ in complete victory over the government of the beast and everyone who lives for it. Although we face the affliction, persecution, and hardship of being on the threshing floor, those who remain faithful to the Lord Jesus will inherit eternal life. Those who live and govern by the thing which forms what they feel, think, and do will be burned eternally in the unquenchable fires of hell.
As read in the verses below, the saints in Heaven, who have already died for their allegiance to God, wonder how much longer the followers of Christ on this earth will have to suffer. The answer is that Christians are yet to be killed at the hands of the global “democratic” government of the beast.
“And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.”
“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write,
‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Revelation 6:10-11 and Revelation 2:8-10
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
