“When David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep, David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, “Go up to Carmel, go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.” 1 Samuel 25:4-5 David heard about the sheepshearer, so he decided to send him a warm and cordial greeting in his own name. That is like representatives of Jesus Christ, His followers, greeting in the name of Jesus those who shear the Spirit.
“And thus you shall say to him who lives in prosperity: ‘Peace be to you, peace to your house, and peace to all that you have!” 1 Samuel 25:6 As followers of Jesus Christ, we offer the peace of the Spirit, and we have no hostile intent towards the household nor the prosperity of those who shear the Spirit of Christ. “Now I have heard that you have shearers. Your shepherds were with us, and we did not hurt them, nor was there anything missing from them all the while they were in Carmel.” 1 Samuel 25:7 We know they mean to reduce to nothing the human spirit and the Spirit of Christ, but we mean them no physical harm nor to deprive them of their money and possessions.
“Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to your son David.’ ” 1 Samuel 25:8 David and his men always treated the sheepshearers with good intentions. David thought it would be reasonable to ask a favor in return. As we know today, asking a favor from those who intend to short-change the Spirit is always a losing purpose. Their only purpose is to harden the human spirit and to discard the Spirit of Christ in order to make people more receptive to the thing which forms what a person thinks, feels, and does. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through a person.
And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Luke 9:52b.-56 and Ephesians 4:32
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
