David and the foolish sheepshearer: Jesus Christ and those shearing the Spirit

1 Samuel 25

Shearing sheep shaves all the wool from their body leaving them bare of any wool. Today, we live in a world where the Spirit of Christ is being sheared from the human spirit, leaving people bare of belief in God, of the need for Jesus, and of the Holy Spirit. The churches have discarded the Gospel and have become a center for the shearing of sheep, the sheep being those who are led into their congregation. It happened to Jesus Christ, and it happens to everyone who grows the wool of His Spirit,

He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
Isaiah 53:7

The ministers of the churches die, and the story of sheepshearers begin. “Then Samuel died; and the Israelites gathered together and lamented for him, and buried him at his home in Ramah. And David arose and went down to the Wilderness of Paran.” 1 Samuel 25 Samuel was a priest who helped David in every way possible. When he died, that is when the story of sheep shearer begins. Today, it’s like the churches no longer having ministers to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From that point, the churches have become nothing more than a center where the Spirit of Christ is sheared.

Shearing the Spirit is rewarded with worldly things. “Now there was a man in Maon whose business was in Carmel, and the man was very rich. He had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats. And he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.” 1 Samuel 25:2 The sheepshearer was very wealthy. Today, those who shear the Spirit of Christ and the decency within the human spirit are well rewarded. They are rewarded with money, possessions, social approval, physical comforts, etc. Shearing the Spirit is a major thrust to make people receptive to the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through a person. It doesn’t want any help from human sentiments nor from the Spirit of Christ, so the Spirit is sheared. As it lives and speaks through people, a person’s mark, or station in life is established, they are synchronized to the mark of the beast.

Sheepshearers are known to be harsh and of Christless behavior. “The name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance; but the man was harsh and evil in his doings. He was of the house of Caleb.” 1 Samuel 25:3 That is exactly the way society is today, women are sympathetic and understanding while the men are harsh and with abrasive behavior. That is a partnership that lives to shear the Spirit. They believe that understanding, sympathetic, and beautiful women causes the decency in the human spirit to grow. Then the harsh and abrasive man does his part to shear the growth which the woman gave rise to.

The intent of the sheepshearing couple is to harden the human spirit to the Spirit of Christ. In fact, relationships are bonded on the denial of God, discarding the need for Jesus Christ, and trampling on the Holy Spirit. Relationships which give growth to the Spirit of Christ are prevented.

Followers of Christ extends the peace of the Holy Spirit to those shearing the Sprit. “When David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep, David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, “Go up to Carmel, go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.” 1 Samuel 25:4-5 David heard about the sheepshearer, so he decided to send him a warm and cordial greeting in his own name. That is like representatives of Jesus Christ, His followers, greeting in the name of Jesus those who shear the Spirit.

“And thus you shall say to him who lives in prosperity: ‘Peace be to you, peace to your house, and peace to all that you have!” 1 Samuel 25:6 As followers of Jesus Christ, we offer the peace of the Spirit, and we have no hostile intent towards the household nor the prosperity of those who shear the Spirit of Christ. “Now I have heard that you have shearers. Your shepherds were with us, and we did not hurt them, nor was there anything missing from them all the while they were in Carmel.” 1 Samuel 25:7 We know they mean to reduce to nothing the human spirit and the Spirit of Christ, but we mean them no physical harm nor to deprive them of their money and possessions.

“Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to your son David.’ ” 1 Samuel 25:8 David and his men always treated the sheepshearers with good intentions. David thought it would be reasonable to ask a favor in return. As we know today, asking a favor from those who intend to short-change the Spirit is always a losing purpose. Their only purpose is to harden the human spirit and to discard the Spirit of Christ in order to make people more receptive to the thing which forms what a person thinks, feels, and does.

Those who shear the Spirit of Christ are harsh and abrasive towards giving favors. “So when David’s young men came, they spoke to Nabal according to all these words in the name of David, and waited.” 1 Samuel 25:9 David’s men relayed the message of goodwill to the sheepshearer and asked for a favor in return. The requested favor was for food and anything else the sheepshearer might be felt to give. After making the request, they waited.

For a Spirit filled person to ask a favor of those who make it their way of life to reduce the human spirit and Spirit of Christ to just about nothing, it is a long wait. That is part of the process of shearing the human spirit and wearing it thin to build a wall against the Spirit of Christ. Wait, wait, wait; lines, lines, lines; delays, delays, delays, are common events nowadays. These are also the days where the thing which forms what we think, feel, and do wants to dominate over the human spirit. They figure by putting the human spirit in stop-mode they are killing it. At the same time, they are hostile to the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Their goal is for the image of the beast to live and speak through us while preventing the image of Christ from living and speaking through us. They even want us to be weary of waiting for the day which Jesus Christ comes back.

“Then Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, “Who is David, and who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants nowadays who break away each one from his master.” 1 Samuel 25:10 Nabal, the sheepshearer, acted like he never even heard of David, nor even heard of David’s father. That is absolutely false because everyone was singing the praises of David, the son of Jesse. That is the very reason that Saul wanted David dead. With malice in the sheepshearers heart, he referred to David as a common servant, which in those days was a blow to the esteem and human dignity of the human spirit.

Today, the name of Jesus Christ means nothing to the masses who dominate cities around the world. They certainly do not recognize Him as the Son of God. In fact, His Holy name gives them more reason to accost the human spirit and to be harsh and abrasive towards those who lift up the name of Jesus. They consider those who embrace the Spirit of Christ to be the least in society and not deserving of human dignity nor their respect. They are shearing the Spirit. They only honor those who allow the image of the beast to live and speak through them by welcoming the thing which forms their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors.

Jesus Christ wants us to be humble, not boastful harsh, and abrasive. As quoted below,

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,  who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Philippians 2:5-8 and also Zechariah 9:9

“Shall I then take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men when I do not know where they are from?” 1 Samuel 25:11 The economies of today are designed for those who shear the human spirit and are harsh and abrasive to the Spirit of Christ. Their money, resources, possessions, and prosperity are withheld from Christianity to prevent the human spirit from prospering in the Spirit of Christ. Their attitude is exactly as quoted above, hostile against prospering anybody except those who work to shear the Spirit and work to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through a person. They refuse to acknowledge God, His Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and Christianity as a whole.

Sword of the Spirit of God is put on in response to the hostility to the Spirit. “So David’s young men turned on their heels and went back; and they came and told him all these words.” 1 Samuel 25:12 The messengers of David, asking for a goodwill favor from the sheep shearer, was harshly and abrasively denied. They immediately turned around and went back and told David. This is like the followers of Jesus Christ letting Him know how abrasive and harsh this world is to the decency of the human spirit and to His Spirit.

To “turn on the heels” means to immediately stop and retreat in the opposite direction. As followers of Jesus Christ, we turn on our heels away from an obvious situation which would lead to conflict, aggression, and an ugly confrontation. Those who shear the Spirit thrive on conflict and confrontation as their way of defeating the decency of the human spirit and the Spirit of Christ. It is their way of hardening a person to the humble and peaceful Spirit of Christ.

Although we turn on our heels away from the ways of this world, we never turn away from the Spirit of Christ but instead we put on the Sword of the Spirit.

“Then David said to his men, “Every man gird on his sword.” So every man girded on his sword, and David also girded on his sword. And about four hundred men went with David, and two hundred stayed with the supplies.” 1 Samuel 25:13 In the same way that David told his men to put on their sword, Jesus Christ tells His followers to put on the Sword. That is our response to the hostility against our devotion to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We put on the Sword of the Spirit, which is word of God. In fact, the response to the thing which wants to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through us is to put on the whole armor of God. The image of the beast is given life by the thing which forms what we think, feel, and do, and this is what the Spirit tells us,

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.Ephesians 6:10-20

The harshness towards the Spirit is being talked about. “Now one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal’s wife, saying, “Look, David sent messengers from the wilderness to greet our master; and he reviled them.” 1 Samuel25:14 The employees of the sheepshearer knew David and his men were people of a decent human spirit and representatives of God. They thought it was cruel the way the sheepherder (Nabal) was harsh and abrasive towards them. Nabal’s wife had a compassionate and understanding spirit, so they went to her to explain the atrocity.

Today, people see what is happening to human decency, the Spirit of Christ, and Christianity as a whole. We live in a harsh and abrasive world for the purpose of prioritizing the thing which forms what a person thinks, feels, and does. The belief in God, the acknowledgement of the need for Jesus Christ, and embracing the Holy Spirit is despised in cities around the world. The word is out there, and people are talking about the cruelty of those shearing the Spirit.

“But the men were very good to us, and we were not hurt, nor did we miss anything as long as we accompanied them, when we were in the fields.” 1 Samuel 25:15 The followers of Jesus Christ mean no harm to the shearer of the Spirit nor to the employees working for those who shear the Spirit. Neither do we defraud them of any money, possessions, or prosperity of any kind, we want God’s will to live through us, which is, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“They were a wall to us both by night and day, all the time we were with them keeping the sheep.” 1 Samuel 25:16 We live in a world filled with hostility, and the last thing we want as followers of Christ is for other people to suffer violence. Those who are shearing the human spirit and the Spirit of Christ leave a lot of anger, bitterness, and hatred in their wake. Violence is directed towards those who are constantly harsh, abrasive, and only know one word, “NO!” We follow the Spirit of Christ when He said,

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

“Now therefore, know and consider what you will do, for harm is determined against our master and against all his household. For he is such a scoundrel that one cannot speak to him.” 1 Samuel 25:17 That is the question each one of us has to answer, what will we do in the light of what we know. We know the Spirit of Christ fills the human spirit with the Holy Spirit, but the scoundrel which forms what we think, feel, and do shears the spirit and enables the image of the beast to live and speak through us.

“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.

But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.

Deuteronomy 30:15-18

Offerings and repentance made to Jesus Christ. “Then Abigail made haste and took two hundred loaves of bread, two skins of wine, five sheep already dressed, five seahs of roasted grain, one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and loaded them on donkeys.” 1 Samuel 25:18 Abigail wanted to make things right with David and his men. She knew they were of a decent spirit and the anointed of God. She felt it wasn’t right to be harsh and abrasive towards them.

Today, we need to make our life right with God, and all of Christianity, through Jesus Christ by turning away from shearing the Spirit. It’s necessary to feed the human spirit through the Spirit of Christ, with the Gospel of Christ, all of the word of God, and to let the blood of Christ be applied to our soul for the remission of sin and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. We should be filling the spirit with the things of the Lamb of God to make prosperous the sheep of His flock. We should be filled with voluntary devotion to God through Jesus to enliven the spirit with the Spirit of Christ. With every good thing we should feed the Spirit.

“And she said to her servants, “Go on before me; see, I am coming after you.” But she did not tell her husband Nabal.” 1 Samuel 25:19 Abigail didn’t want Nabal the sheepshearer, her husband, to know she was going to feed David and his men with the fullest and best foods that she had. He would have been very harsh and abrasive towards the goodwill and compassionate deed. Today, we can make atonement with Jesus Christ to fill our soul with His Spirit and make it our practice to fill the human spirit of others with everything necessary to enliven the Spirit of Christ. When we feed the Spirit there will be stiff opposition. That’s because the thing which forms what a person thinks, feels, and does is prohibited from enabling the image of the beast to live and speak through a person when the Spirit lives. They do not want to hear a single peep from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“So it was, as she rode on the donkey, that she went down under cover of the hill; and there were David and his men, coming down toward her, and she met them.” 1 Samuel 25:20 Abigail humbly and quietly met David and his men. When we come to meet Jesus Christ, we should do it humbly and not to make a flashy show of our allegiance to Him. When we feed the soul with the Spirit of Christ, we are fighting against the masses in every city around the world who makes the soul the home of the thing which forms what they do, feel, and think,

Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling
Calling for you and for me
See on the portals
He’s waiting and watching
Watching for you and for me
(Church Hymn)

“Now David had said, “Surely in vain I have protected all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that belongs to him. And he has repaid me evil for good.” 1 Samuel 25:21 It is a sin against God to harden the human spirit to build a wall against the Spirit of Christ. That is exactly what is being done when the Spirit of the sheep is being sheared. Jesus Christ came to protect us from sin, death, and lawlessness, and it is a brutality to shear the Spirit when He means good towards us.

“May God do so, and more also, to the enemies of David, if I leave one male of all who belong to him by morning light.” 1 Sauel 25:22 God’s judgment will come against those who shear His Spirit in exchange for causing the image of the beast to live and speak through a person. All of the enemies of Christ will suffer eternal hell in the burning lake of fire. Those who welcome the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do are instruments of Satan in this world.

“Now when Abigail saw David, she dismounted quickly from the donkey, fell on her face before David, and bowed down to the ground. So she fell at his feet and said: “On me, my lord, on me let this iniquity be! And please let your maidservant speak in your ears, and hear the words of your maidservant.” 1 Samuel 25:23-24 In this life, our option must be to bow before Jesus Christ, admit our need for Him for the remission of our sin, and know that He will hear the pleas of a repentant spirit.

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

Mark 1:40-41

Repentance means to denounce those who shear the Spirit of Christ. “Please, let not my lord regard this scoundrel Nabal. For as his name is, so is he: Nabal is his name, and folly is with him! But I, your maidservant, did not see the young men of my lord whom you sent.1 Samuel 25:25 The meaning of the name Nabal is “fool,” and a fool in their heart says there is no God. Those who shear the Spirit have no belief in God, and only believe in the human being, which is from humanism entwined with the image and mark of the beast.

Abigail rejected her husband the sheepshearer who treated David and his men harshly, and cleared herself of being a part of what he was doing. When we come to Jesus Christ, we must denounce the actions of shearing the Spirit. Shearing the Spirit is a process of hardening the human spirit to build a wall against the Spirit of Christ, then welcoming the thing which forms what a person thinks, feels, and does. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through a person. We must be set apart from those actions and not have anything to do with shearing the Spirit of Christ.

“Now therefore, my lord, as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, since the Lord has held you back from coming to bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now then, let your enemies and those who seek harm for my lord be as Nabal.” 1 Samuel 25:26 Jesus Christ brings forgiveness and Salvation although we deserve eternal death and punishment in hell. All who believe in Him is given eternal life, but His enemies who oppose Him suffer in eternal hell.

We must acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord, and not to serve the image and mark of the beast as lord over our life. We never avenge ourselves, but that judgment is left in the hands of God who avenges His people through Jesus Christ. The Spirit holds us back from engaging in bloodshed and other acts of violence and rebellion against a harsh and abrasive world. Those who come against Jesus Christ and harden the human spirit from coming to Him will be as fools, and they will suffer their punishment. That punishment is death in the eternal lake of fire in hell.

“And now this present which your maidservant has brought to my lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my lord.” 1 Samuel 25:27 As a sign of our reconciliation to God through Jesus, we offer gifts to enliven the Spirit of Christ and to feed the spirit of His followers. Because we love Jesus, we feed the human spirit with His Gospel. As quoted below,

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.

John 21:15-17

The Lord Jesus Christ lives eternally as King of kings. “Please forgive the trespass of your maidservant. For the Lord will certainly make for my lord an enduring house, because my lord fights the battles of the Lord, and evil is not found in you throughout your days.” 1 Samuel 25:28 When we ask God to forgive our sins in the name of Jesus, He will. He sent Jesus Christ so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. Through the Lord Jesus, there is an eternal home waiting for us in the New Jerusalem when the new heaven and new earth is created. Jesus Christ is Holy and sinless, and on this earth, He fights against sin and death.

“Yet a man has risen to pursue you and seek your life, but the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with the Lord your God; and the lives of your enemies He shall sling out, as from the pocket of a sling.” 1 Samuel 25:29 Abigail knew David had defeated Goliath the giant with a slingshot and a stone, and she believed defeat would come to all his enemies. Today, we know Jesus Christ is going to defeat the global government of the beast, which makes employment of shearing the Spirit. All those who pursue and seek to take life from the decency of the human spirit and against the Spirit of Christ will be defeated. Jesus Christ lives eternally with His Father in Heaven and His life is in the bundle of the living.

“And it shall come to pass, when the Lord has done for my lord according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel,” 1 Samuel 25:30 God has appointed Jesus Christ to be the Savior of this world by making atonement for sin on the Cross. After that, God appoints Him to be King of kings and Lord of lords over all, and that day comes when the global system of the beast is destroyed.

“…that this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself. But when the Lord has dealt well with my lord, then remember your maidservant.” 1 Samuel 25:31 Like Abigail we ask the Lord Jesus Christ to remember us when He is in the Paradise of God. Those of us who suffer with Jesus Christ, to carry our cross daily, in this harsh and abrasive world are remembered by Christ as He sits in Paradise,

Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Luke 23:39-43

God is blessed when people come to His Son Jesus Christ. “Then David said to Abigail: “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me!” 1 Samuel 25:32 Abigail left her husband, who was a sheepshearer and rude and abrasive towards David and his people. It is a blessing to God when we turn from shearing the Spirit to live for Jesus Christ by feeding the human spirit with the Gospel of Christ. We want to contribute to Christianity and the followers of Christ and not play a role in stamping out His Spirit.

“And blessed is your advice and blessed are you, because you have kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and from avenging myself with my own hand.’ 1 Samuel 25:33 Good advice is to let people know of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to walk according to peace with God. The judgment and vengeance of God is turned away from everyone who turns to Jesus for the remission of sin, whoever believes in Him will not perish but inherit eternal life.

“For indeed, as the Lord God of Israel lives, who has kept me back from hurting you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, surely by morning light no males would have been left to Nabal!” 1 Samuel 25:34 Those who come to Jesus will be saved but those who do not are condemned to eternal punishment,

He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.John 3:18-19

Those who shear the Spirit are engaged in the practice of hardening the human spirit against the Spirit of Christ, and they will face the judgment of God. They want people to welcome the thing which forms what they think, feel, and do to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through them. As the image lives and speaks through them, people are conformed to a specific station or mark in life, they are synchronized to the mark of the beast.

“So David received from her hand what she had brought him, and said to her, “Go up in peace to your house. See, I have heeded your voice and respected your person.” 1 Samuel 25:35 God accepts everyone who turns to Jesus Christ and He gives us peace, not the peace found in this world, but a peace in the spirit from being right with God. It’s the same peace which the shearers of the Spirit intend to steal from us. Nevertheless, God hears everyone who calls on the name of Jesus Christ,

For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”Romans 10:13-14

The shearer of the Spirit is struck dead by the hand of the Lord. “Now Abigail went to Nabal, and there he was, holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk; therefore she told him nothing, little or much, until morning light.” 1 Samuel 25:36 Nabal, the sheepshearer, was going about life as if all were good and nothing was amiss. They are not in the mood to be told about the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ.

Today, people are going about their merry way as if all is good, even as they proceed to shear the Spirit. They blaspheme God, discard the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and trample on the Holy Spirit. They are in no mood to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As quoted below,

And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Luke 17:26-30

“So it was, in the morning, when the wine had gone from Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became like a stone.” 1 Samuel 25:37 When those of this world come to their senses, it will be too late because their heart will have been turned to stone at the hearing of the Gospel of Christ. They will be sober enough to realize that judgment is knocking on their door. “Then it happened, after about ten days, that the Lord struck Nabal, and he died.” 1 Samuel 25:38 When a person dies to the Spirit of Christ, they become like stone against the Spirit. The second death is eternal punishment in hell, and that is the place which God has prepared for those who wage war against the Gospel of Christ.

“So when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed be the Lord, who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and has kept His servant from evil! For the Lord has returned the wickedness of Nabal on his own head.” 1 Samuel 25:39a. It will be a great day of rejoicing when God brings victory over this world and Jesus Christ has the victory,

After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”

Revelation 19:1-2

Jesus Christ sends us a proposal to be married to His Spirit. “And David sent and proposed to Abigail, to take her as his wife.” 1 Samuel 25:39b.  Jesus Christ invites every one of us to join our spirit to His Spirt to marry ourselves to Him. “When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,” says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 16:8

“When the servants of David had come to Abigail at Carmel, they spoke to her saying, “David sent us to you, to ask you to become his wife.” 1 Samuel 25:40 The marriage proposal sent to us is the Gospel of Christ. As His messengers, Jesus sends us to share His Gospel so that the whosoever are given the proposal to be married to His Spirit, “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

Today, the marriage proposal of the human spirit to the Spirit of Christ has been prohibited. We live in a world which hardens the spirit of humanity to build a wall against God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The Gospel message has been removed from the churches, removed from government law-making, removed from the educational system, and removed from every sector of society. The thing which forms what we think, feel, and do wants to be married to us to enable the image of the beast to speak and live through us. As it speaks and lives through a person they are conformed to their place in life, their mark in life, they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

“…it opposes and exalts itself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that it sits as God in the temple of God, showing itself that it is God.2 Thessalonians 2:4

“Then she arose, bowed her face to the earth, and said, “Here is your maidservant, a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.” 1 Samuel 25:41 We offer ourselves into the service of Jesus Christ. Our devotion to Jesus should be as stated here, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.” Ruth 16:16-17

“So Abigail rose in haste and rode on a donkey, attended by five of her maidens; and she followed the messengers of David, and became his wife.” 1 Samuel 25:42 We humbly follow the messengers of Jesus Christ, which includes every person who made the Holy Bible possible. We follow the groundwork set by the Twelve Apostles who are the twelve foundations of the New Jerusalem. We follow the open door of the “scarlet cord” written through the Twelve Tribes of Israel who are the twelve gates of the New Jerusalem. We also follow every other messenger of the Gospel of Christ.

Through the word of God and Holy Spirit, we become married to the Spirit of Jesus Christ. As written, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

“David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel, and so both of them were his wives.” 1 Samuel 25:43 When Jesus Christ came, He made His proposal of marriage to the Jewish people and also to the non-Jewish people. He married us both to Him by the New Covenant which says whoever believes in Him will be saved. We are His people by the covenant made through Abraham, and Isaac and Jacob (Israel). That covenant is that whoever believes in Him will be saved.

This world withholds marriage to the Spirit of Christ. “But Saul had given Michal his daughter, David’s wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was from Gallim.” 1 Samuel 25:44

Saul was not walking with God and was continually seeking to kill David. Saul also withheld Michal from David and Michal had a true love for David. Today, the intent of this world is to withhold marriage to the Spirit of Christ of those who truly love the Lord Jesus. Their purpose is to kill Christianity by withholding belief in God, discarding the need for Jesus Christ, and trampling on the Holy Spirit. They eliminate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 12 is a whole chapter on the extinction of Christian births.

The purpose of those who shear the Spirit is to harden the human heart from bonding with the Holy Spirit. They do not want people to come to God through Jesus for the remission of sin because that brings the infilling of the Holy Spirit. By the Spirit, our spirit is married to Jesus Christ. Instead, they insist that we welcome the thing which forms what we think, feel, and do which enables the image of the beast to speak and live in us. They want to be married to our soul by sitting in the temple of God, our body, as if it were God.

Jesus Christ tells us to always be ready for His return by keeping the light of our lamp always burning and filled with oil, which is to share the light of His testimony as we keep our soul burning with the Holy Spirit,

“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Matthew 25:6-13

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
