Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;
Genesis 1:26
The “our” in the verse above refers to God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. That puts in perspective the verses in this post, which says that Jesus Christ is from the beginning, all things were made through Him, and He is the word of God. When the very first chapters of Genesis refer to the creation, all of those things were created through Jesus Christ. For example, when God spoke the Word, “Let there be light,” it was through Jesus Christ in which the light was created.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” John 1:1-3 Jesus Christ is the Word which is from the beginning. People often refer to the “scarlet cord” which runs from the book of Genesis all the way through the Bible. The “scarlet cord” refers to the blood of Jesus Christ which would be shed on the Cross for the atonement of sin and to establish the New Covenant with God. The New Covenant, the “scarlet cord,” is defined in this way, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The “scarlet cord” makes Jesus Christ the topic of the Holy Scriptures since the beginning. Since the “scarlet cord” exists, it means Jesus Christ existed with God, as the Word, from the very beginning. Not only was the Word with God, but the Word was God. In other words, Jesus Christ is God and part of the trinity of God. There is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Hebrews chapter 1 is an excellent example of Jesus Christ being talked about within the Old Testament, for example,
…has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;… (Hebrews 1:2)
For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? (Hebrews 1:5a. referring to Psalms 2:7)
“I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”? (Hebrews 1: 5b. referring to 2 Samuel 7:14)
But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A [scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” (Hebrews 1:8-9 referring to Psalms 45:6-7)
This is constant throughout the whole Bible, that is the scarlet cord which speaks of the knowledge and existence of Jesus Christ from the beginning of time.
“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:4-5 ” I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” John 10:10b.-11 “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12
The Life and Light is found in the Word, through Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Spirit which Jesus gives to us by the remission of sin. That is the plan of God, to give us Life and Light so that we can be reconciled to Him and be given eternal life.
There is a thing in this world which does not want us to see the Light nor to experience Life through the Spirit of Christ. It forms what we think, feel, and do to enable the image of the beast to live and speak through us. While it lives and speaks trough us, it prohibits the image of Christ from living and speaking through us. As it lives and speaks through people, it is conforming people to their station, or mark in life. People are being synchronized to the mark of the beast.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:19
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
