  • A land filled with great riches and against the Holy Covenant.
  • Intelligence shared with the global culture against we who live for Jesus Christ.
  • Sanctuary of God is polluted, and the abomination of desolation is placed within.
  • Great falling away from the Holy Covenant.

A land filled with great riches and against the Holy Covenant.
“Then will he return into his land with great riches; and his heart will be against the holy covenant; and he will do exploits, and return to his own land.” Daniel 11: 28

In the previous post on Daniel 11:25-27, the king of the North defeated the king of the South in battle driving the king of the South to the negotiating table. The king of the North gained many riches as a result of the negotiations. Those riches would include earth resources such as mineral rights and agriculture, as well as gaining an economic advantage. The military of the king of the North operates on behalf of the “Vile Person”, who is described in the posts on Daniel 11:21-24. The “Vile Person” is the ruler of the global government and the global culture. Today, the United Nations is driving forward in becoming the one world government with power over a global economy. The riches of this world, within countries across the globe, will become the riches of the global government. The United Nations will have an undisputed military power to subdue any opposition to its conquest of global wealth and authority.

With the gain of great riches, the king of the North returned to his homeland. The heart of this king was focused on gaining the world while being against the Holy Covenant. Jesus says, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Mark 8:36 The Holy Covenant are the promises made by God to those who believe in Him. Today, we find that Holy Covenant in the New Testament through Jesus Christ, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

The king of the North does exploits against the Holy Covenant, referring to benefitting unfairly at the expense of others. In other words, the king plundered the resources and wealth of those living for God. Today, those who live for the community culture, which is global, excels and profits at the expense of we who live for Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is described in Daniel 11:24. The king of the North then returned to his own land.

In today’s world, the focus of the global government and its global culture is on earthly matters to make all the earth and everything in it theirs. That is easily seen in the “Sustainable Development Goals” of the United Nations. At the same time, they deny God as the Creator of the earth and everything in it. They come against the Holy Covenant made through Jesus Christ to reconcile us to God through the Holy Spirit. They fight against the presence of the Holy Spirit. These are those who serve the “Vile Person” who thrives on governing through the thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors of people everywhere.

Intelligence shared with the global culture against we who live for Jesus Christ.
At the time appointed he will return, and come toward the south; but it will not be as the former, or as the latter. For the ships of Chittim will come against him: therefore he will be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so will he do; he will even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.” Daniel 11:29-30

After robbing those living for the Holy Covenant, the king of the North returned to the south, but things turned out differently than before. This time, ships from Chittim [Cyprus], which were ships from the west, came against the king. At this time in prophecy, the United States is no longer a dominant power in the world, not militarily, not economically, and not politically. They are brought under the thumb of the global government of the beast. The passing of America’s greatness is described in the post on Daniel 8:1-14 and also in the post on Daniel 11:1-4. The ships coming from the west could be from the land mass called the United States, but they are not coming in the strength of a dominant independent world power. But they are coming in the power of the “Vile Person” [ruler of the global government and global culture] who empowers them in every way.

When the king of the North sees the ships coming from the west, he is grieved and returns to those of the Holy Covenant and finishes what he didn’t do before. Before, he robbed them of their resources and wealth, but now he is indignant and riled against them. At this point in prophecy, the love in the world has gone cold and peoples and nations who look weak towards those living for Jesus Christ are come against by those who are strong in living for the “Vile Person”. Strength to them means serving the atheistic entity in what they are given to do, say, think, and feel, which means to work to put Christianity into extinction. This explains why the king of the North returned to persecute the Holy Covenant when he saw the ships of the west coming against him.

When the king of the North returned to persecute the Holy Covenant, he had “…intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.” This means the king formed an alliance with everyone who turned their backs on the Holy Covenant. This alliance involved sharing information to make plans against everyone living for the Holy Covenant. Today, intelligence is being shared with those who forsake God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. That intelligence comes from the atheistic entity that replaces the spirit and oppresses the presence of the Holy Spirit to give people what to think, feel, speak, and do. This is the one who gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through those of today’s culture, which is global. People everywhere are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

“And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’” Revelation 12:17 Click here for a post on the extinction of Christian births.

Sanctuary of God is polluted, and the abomination of desolation is placed within.
“And arms will stand on his part, and they will pollute the sanctuary of strength, and will take away the daily sacrifice, and they will place the abomination that makes desolate” Daniel 11:31

“Arms will stand on his part” refers to those who stand with the king of the North against the Holy Covenant. Today, that describes the culture of today that stands with the entity that despises Jesus Christ and all of Christianity. They stand with this entity that has power over physiology to give them what to speak, do, think, and feel. By what they say and do, they pollute the sanctuary of strength, which is to corrupt the spirit while opposing the presence of the Holy Spirit. The “sanctuary of strength” is the human body as the temple of God, the temple of the Holy Spirit.

When the spirit and conscience are corrupted and not housing the Holy Spirit, then the daily sacrifice is taken away. The daily sacrifice is our daily walk with God, through Jesus Christ, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. When people no longer honor the body as the temple created to house the Holy Spirit, then something wicked is able to rule over thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. The forgiveness of sin through Jesus Christ is scoffed at and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is silenced.

In the “sanctuary of strength”, when it is spiritually corrupted, the “abomination that makes desolate” is placed within. An abomination is an intense dislike for something, something that is disgusting, detestable, despised, and hated. To desolate something is to make it completely barren, empty, and destroyed. What is the “abomination that makes desolate” that is placed in the “sanctuary of strength” [our body as the sanctuary of the Holy Spirit]? It’s the entity that that intensely dislikes God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and finds them utterly detestable. This entity intends to totally desolate any thought, feeling, words, or actions that gives allegiance to God through Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The “abomination that makes desolate” is placed within people [the temple of God] by the entity with power over physiology to give people what to speak, think, feel, and do. This is the one “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “he” in this verse if the “man of sin”. Click here for a post on the “man of sin”.

Great falling away from the Holy Covenant.
And such as do wickedly against the covenant will he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God will be strong and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

Those who do wickedly against the covenant God made with us through Jesus Christ is today’s culture, which is global. They choose to put their faith in the entity that gives them what to speak, do, think, and feel. By what they are given to do and say, awful words and actions come against we who are living for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These people are rewarded for their opposition to belief in God and for fighting against the presence of the Holy Spirit. They are corrupted by the flatteries and rewards of social approval, the honor, respect, and dignity they receive from those around them. Our Lord Jesus says, “How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?” John 5:44

We who know God and put our faith in Jesus Christ “…will be strong and do exploits.” We are exposed to the intrusion into our thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors like everyone else, but our faith will always be placed in our Lord Jesus, nothing nor nobody else. We are surrounded by people who “…are spots in [our] love feasts, while they feast with [us] without fear…” Jude 1:12 We rely on the mercy and grace of God as Satan accuses us every day of not being worthy of the love and eternal Salvation of God. Only believe, that is our Salvation, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

As followers of Jesus Christ, we will do exploits, referring to being strong in opposing and resisting the atheistic entity that has power over every aspect of physiology. They can do whatever to our body they want, make us feel and think about any physiological desire they want, but as our Lord Jesus says, “…do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28 Our exploits are in the spirit not in the flesh, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 Our faith will always be in God through Jesus Christ in the presence of the Holy Spriit.

And they that understand among the people will instruct many: yet they will fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. 33

We who understand what is happening in today’s culture, which is global, will instruct many. We instruct many through blogs, web pages, social media, writing books, through word of mouth [when possible] etc. We understand that the entity with power over physiology is the one who sits in our body [the temple of God] by giving people what to speak, think, feel and do. This is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy because that entity is the beast “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4 The “he” in that verse is the “man of sin”. Click here for the post on the “man of the sin”. This one gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they are given to say and do.

Even though we instruct many, they will fall by the sword. Today, people cannot bear to be cut off from social approval and fall to the scrutiny and hostility coming through those of the community. Many around the world are literally dying by violence due to their faith in Jesus Christ, causing many to abandon God our Creator. Many fall from Jesus Christ because of being captive to the atheistic community culture, resulting in feeling disrespected, marginalized, held down, used, abused, and taken advantage of. Many fall by “spoil”, which can refer to diminishing the quality of life, harming the character, disparagement, and by attrition [being set aside and ignored by society]. Many fall by the flame, which spiritually refers to falling to the hostilities of those of today’s culture. There are people literally being set on fire for their beliefs, even here in America.

Now when they will fall, they will be holpen with a little help: but many will cleave to them with flatteries.” Daniel 11:34

The many who fall from their faith in Jesus Christ are supported with a little help. There is not a lot we can say or do for those who fall to the atheistic and unloving multitudes that surround them every day. The little help we can give them is to say, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 Many will cleave to the fallen with flatteries and smooth words to move the fallen further away from Jesus Christ and closer to the he entity that wants to dominate what they do, say, think, and feel. “For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” Romans 16:18

“They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly saying, Peace, peace when there is no peace.” Jeremiah 6:14

And some of them of understanding will fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” Daniel 11:35

Some who understand what is happening in today’s atheistic world will fall from their faith in Jesus Christ. This will be a time of “trying” them, a time of sanctification and spiritual purging to make us white in the Holiness of God. Whatever this world throws at us, whatever we are made to feel or think, or what we regrettably say or do, keep your faith in the grace and mercy of God. We will grow in the grace, mercy, and knowledge of God through Jesus Christ.

We may not think we are very much of a Chrisitan, and might believe we have fallen from the love of God, but “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:6-9

We are living in the “time appointed” of the great falling away from Jesus Christ and the “trials by fire” coming against those faithful to God. Click here for a post on the “Great Falling Away and the “Man of Sin”. The global falling away began happening immediately after WW2 when the United Nations was established in 1945, as described in Daniel 8:1-14 and also Revelation 17. The United Nations brought the government of the beast with it.

God’s grace is to enable us to continue on in His Gospel even after we do fall, and His grace will carry us on to the very end. May we never allow our carnal shortcomings to harden our human spirit to the Spirit of Jesus Christ. We will be tested to the max.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:10-18

I’ve had many tears and sorrows, I’ve had questions for tomorrow
There’s been times I didn’t know right from wrong but in every situation
God gave me blessed consolation that my trials come to only make me strong
I’ve been to a lot of places, and I’ve seen millions of faces but there were times that I felt so all alone
But in my lonely hours, yes, those precious lonely hours Jesus let me know that I was His own
That’s the reason I say that through it all through it all
I’ve learned to trust in Jesus I’ve learned to trust in God
Let me tell you that through it all, through it all,
I’ve learned to depend upon His word.
(Church Hymn)

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
