The Gospel of Christ exists by acknowledging His resurrection. “Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?” 1 Corinthians 15:12-28
The resurrection of Christ is part of the Gospel, so it’s not possible to share the testimony of Christ and deny the resurrection at the same time. “But if there is no resurrection of the dead then Christ is not risen.” 1 Corinthians 15:13 If the resurrection is not believed then it’s not possible to believe that Jesus is alive today. “And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.” 1 Corinthians 15:14 It is a waste of time to preach about Jesus without talking about His resurrection.
Today, the churches do not preach that Jesus is alive and has been resurrected from the dead. They partner with the community which embraces humanism rooted in the entity giving them their thoughts, feelings, words, and behaviors. This entity enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do. They have no belief in anything beyond the grave.
“Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise.” 1 Corinthians 15:15 The “democratic” society of the beast refers to the resurrection of Jesus Christ as being a big fat lie. They disregard anything which is said by the followers of Jesus.
It’s a pitiable world which thinks the grave is the end of the line. “For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!” 1 Corinthians 15:16-17
A central part to the Gospel is that since Jesus lives, we also will live eternally with Him. Without that belief then faith is useless. Also, His resurrection is what enables us to be born again by the remission of sin, sin is death and resurrection is life. Without belief in the resurrection of Christ, there is no remission of sin, no new life through the Holy Spirit, and there is no eternal life in the New Jerusalem.
“Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.” 1 Corinthians 15:18-19
Those who believe in nothing beyond the grave are most pitiable, this world is in a pitiful state because they do not believe in life after death. Life is not sacred to them and rotting in the grave is the only future they have to offer. They use earthly rewards as motivators while detesting those who live for the eternal rewards through Jesus Christ. For them, money, possessions, physical comforts, and social favor is all there is to life, which are used to reward those who live by the entity giving them their thoughts and feelings. They mock the power of God to raise life from the dead, they discard the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and trample on life in the Holy Spirit.
An earthly life brings death, but Jesus Christ brings resurrection from the dead. “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” 1 Corinthians 15:20
Jesus Christ had fallen asleep for three days, He had been dead for three days when God raised Him to life. Through Jesus Christ, we will all be resurrected just like He was, He is the first to be resurrected into eternal life among Believers. That is what this verse is all about, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Human ways bring death, but Christ brings life, “For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.” 1 Corinthians 15:21 Trusting in human flesh brings death to God, but by trusting in Christ we are made alive. “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:22 Adam brought sin and death to humanity, but Jesus Christ brings the resurrection of the dead to all who believe.
The first and second resurrection. “But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.” 1 Corinthians 15:23
When Jesus Christ returns, all of us who have died while believing in Him will be resurrected. Jesus Christ was the first to be raised to eternal life from the dead and we will be the next to be raised to eternal life from the dead. That is the order of things. “Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.” 1 Corinthians 15:24 After the first resurrection, we reign with Christ on earth for “1000 years” (Revelation 20:4-6). All earthly rule and authority will have been put to an end. Satan is kept alive but imprisoned during those “1000 years.”
Before the first resurrection, the Battle of Armageddon has taken place and this global system of the beast has been destroyed along with the beast and second beast (false prophet) which were behind the image and mark of the beast (Revelation 19:19-21). After the “1000 years,” Satan will be released from his prison and makes war but is destroyed before he can even lift a finger against Christ and those He resurrected (Revelation 20:7-10). The second resurrection happens after Satan is destroyed and is when every single person is judged according to their deeds (Revelation 20:11-15). After the second resurrection and final judgment, this heaven and earth is totally destroyed, and God creates a new heaven and earth where we will live eternally in the New Jerusalem.
All of God’s enemies are under Christ’s feet, and God is over Christ. “For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:25-26
Jesus Christ will put all enemies under His feet, consisting of the beast, second beast (false prophet), Satan, and all people who reject Him as Lord and Savior. The very last enemy to be destroyed is death, and that is when we inherit eternal life in the New Jerusalem. “For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted.” 1 Corinthians 15:27 God the Father puts all things under the feet of Jesus Christ, but God the Father will not be under His Son’s feet. “Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.” 1 Corinthians 15:28 In the New Jerusalem, Jesus Christ (God the Son) will be in subjection to God the Father, God is all in all.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
