Jesus Cast Out Demons, but Cleanliness is not Godliness

Casting out demons can only be done through Jesus Christ. “And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. So it was, when the demon had gone out, that the mute spoke; and the multitudes marveled.” Luke 11:14 It’s easy to determine the type of words that a demon would mute, such as words expressing belief in God, acknowledging the need for the remission of sin through Jesus Christ, and words flowing through the Holy Spirit. It would be pleasant to the ears to hear the words flowing from a mind and heart filled with the Holy Spirit. “But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” Today, there is a thing that has power over physiology to give peace to the mind and heart, and it is of Satan and operates relating to the mark of the beast. “Others, testing Him, sought from Him a sign from heaven. But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say I cast out demons by Beelzebub.” Luke 11:16-18 If the Satanic thing that has power over physiology restores peace to the mind and heart, and the result is praise to God through Jesus Christ, then its social network will not stand because it is rooted in the mark of the beast. Its global Christless government would fall.

The results in people reveal the source of healings. “And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.” Luke 11:19 If Jesus cast out demons by the power of Satan, then by what authority is the thing that has power over physiology operating? Those who are healed relating to the mark of the beast are the judges because they will not be able to declare praise for God or Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. However, since Jesus Christ is casting out demons to reconcile us to God to make us the home of the Holy Spirit, then the kingdom of God is here and living in us. The Holy Spirit is our down payment of the eternal home of the kingdom of God in the New Jerusalem, “But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.” Luke 11:20

Let’s guard our body as the home of the Holy Spirit. “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace.” Luke 11:21 Our palace is our body, which is the home of the Holy Spirit, and we do not want to surrender our mind and heart to be the seat of government for the mark of the beast. We have the full armor of God to help us with that, which is found in Ephesians 6:14-17, which is the truth of Jesus Christ, the righteousness of God, the Gospel of peace, faith to deflect the fiery darts of evil, assurance of our Salvation through Jesus, and we read the Holy Bible, the word of God. Our trust is in Jesus Christ, “…for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” 2 Timothy 1:12

The Pharisees and Sadducees were not strong enough to ward off the evil that was in their heart, they did not have a heart and mind receptive to Jesus Christ. Conspiracies and plots overpowered them to plan the crucifixion of Jesus. “But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.” Luke 11:22 After the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Jewish nation lost everything relating to their special status as God’s Holy people. The followers of Jesus Christ are now adopted into the family of God. It’s obvious that the gathering of the followers of Jesus Christ is not happening nowadays, but the gathering around Christmas is stronger than ever, which is based on money and possessions. Those who live and govern by the mark of the beast (in the name of humanism) are against Jesus Christ and they scatter His people, “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.” Luke 11:23

Cleanliness is not next to Godliness and even attracts demons. Unclean spirits are looking to go back to the same place from which they come, ““When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.” Luke 11:24 It’s like the Satanic thing, which has power over physiology, wants to keep a person locked into the same Christless thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors as always. It wants our emotions and spirit to be wiped clean of the Spirit of Christ and put in order for occupancy of the mark of the beast. Being orderly and clean is not repelling demons but attracting demons, “And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order.”

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! 
For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly,
but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 
Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men,
but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”
Matthew 23:27-28

A neat and orderly place attracts numerous other demons and makes the person worse than ever before. “Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” Luke 11:26 We can all think of neat and orderly places which are areas we would rather not be, such as hospitals, prisons, schools, doctor offices, mental health clinics, etc. On the inside, people can be orderly and clean in their mind and heart but not have one ounce of the Spirit of Christ in them, not one thread of human decency. It creates an internal environment to make a person the seat of government for the mark of the beast and destroying the home of the Holy Spirit.

Blessed are those who read and do the word of God. Reading the Bible may not keep us clean and orderly, but it does keep us right with God, keeps us on the road of sanctification, and prepares us for the Holy Spirit. People will constantly want to praise God in the presence of Jesus Christ for His authority over demons and His ability to heal people physically, “And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” Luke 11:27 Any praise and worship given to Jesus Christ is warmly welcomed by Him. There are more important things than cleanliness, orderliness, giving people peace of mind, pleasant feelings, and physical healings. Even the thing that has power over physiology can do that. More important is to hear what is written in the Bible and to live by those words, “But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Luke 11:28
