  • Welcoming the followers of Christ is a bad social practice nowadays.
  • There will be people who help the people of God during the global tribulation.
  • The gate to the New Jerusalem is shut to those who hunt down God’s people.
  • Hearts go faint in this turbulent world, but victory and deliverance are in Jesus Christ.
  • People will seek the lovingkindness of Christ and will receive eternal life.
  • Christ is risen from the dead and the scarlet cord is in the window.
  • We remain with God through Jesus Christ according to His Word.
  • We will be resurrected and inherit the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem.

Welcoming the followers of Christ is a bad social practice nowadays.
“Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Shittim to spy secretly, saying, “Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” Joshua 2:1a.

The land being spied out is within the territory of the promised land, which they will possess according to the word of God (Joshua 6). Likewise, Jesus Christ has given us the word to spy out the promised land of the New Jerusalem, He wants us to possess it. We are not looking to be part of the society that lives by the entity giving them what to think, feel, say, and do. Today, people who welcome the followers of Jesus are like a harlot that takes in anybody, they are not loyal to the Christless social network. That is symbolized when the two men spying out the promised land stayed with the harlot named Rahab, “So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there.” Joshua 2:1b. This is the same Rahab who is part of the family tree of Jesus Christ, “Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king.” Matthew 1:5-6 King David is known as a man after God’s own heart.

There will be people who help the people of God during the global tribulation.
“And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, “Behold, men have come here tonight from the children of Israel to search out the country.” Joshua 2:2

Those who live and govern by the entity giving them what to think, feel, say, and do are keeping tabs of those who are seeking the promised land given to us through Jesus Christ. Christianity is a threat to the solidarity of their social network, and they weed us out from mainstream society. When they are looking for one, the first places they search are in the homes of those whose loyalty to their culture is known to be dubious. As symbolized here, “So the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for they have come to search out all the country.” Joshua 2:3 Today’s culture, which is global, considers the followers of Christ to be people trying to bring harm and to “search out” their land.

During the Holocaust, Hitler’s Germany went from door to door to hunt down anyone Jewish but there were people who helped the Jewish people to hide, and this verse speaks to that, “Then the woman took the two men and hid them. So she said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from.” Joshua 2:4 As the affliction of the followers of Christ intensifies under the global government of the beast, there will be numbers of “Rahab” during the global tribulation, to take in the people of God. “The Diary of Anne Frank is a very short read that draws a vivid picture of Joshua 2 but is not taken from Joshua 2. It is the actual diary of a teen Jewish girl who was hidden from Hitler’s police in a “safe” house between 1942 and 1944. She was captured by the Germans and that was the end of her diary…

The gate to the New Jerusalem is shut to those who hunt down God’s people.
Rahab was protecting the two men of God when she told the hunters that they had left the city when it became dark. This is what she told the persecutors, “And it happened as the gate was being shut, when it was dark, that the men went out. Where the men went I do not know; pursue them quickly, for you may overtake them.” Joshua 2:5

In the same way that Rahab detoured the persecutors, the followers of Christ will find support as these hostile days intensify. As the gates close to Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is shut out, it becomes dark in the world. It is a darkness of lawlessness, cruelty, persecution, and people hunting down other people. The words “There’s one” echoes through society today. That is the environment of the world created under the global government of the beast. Some people will not be able to stomach the cruelty and will do what they can to save others from persecution.

The two faithful witnesses in Revelation 11:3-7 were hunted down and murdered just instances before the return of Jesus Christ. There is going to be a horrifying period on this earth, worse than anything ever known, and it comes under this present global government. Some of us will be hidden from the persecutors by those who have no fidelity to this Christless social network. The Holy Spirit symbolizes that through Rahab the harlot, “But she had brought them up to the roof and hidden them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order on the roof.” Joshua 2:6

Those who hunt down the people of God will be locked out of the New Jerusalem, the gates to the eternal city are shut to them. The Holy Spirit tells us that here, “Then the men pursued them by the road to the Jordan, to the fords. And as soon as those who pursued them had gone out, they shut the gate.” Joshua 2:7

Hearts go faint in this turbulent world, but victory and deliverance are in Jesus Christ.
Rahab believed in the God of the two men who had their eyes on the promised land, whom she hid and protected from harm, “Now before they lay down, she came up to them on the roof, and said to the men: “I know that the Lord has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land are fainthearted because of you.” Joshua 2:8-9

As days progress under this present system of the global government, more people will come to see the reality of Bible prophecy. Even today, people are becoming fainthearted due to global warming, the turbulence worldwide, and the other “natural” catastrophes.Global warming plays a role in destroying the power center of the beast (Revelation 16:8-10), the global government is here (Revelation 17 and Daniel 8), and the image and mark of the beast is here (Revelation 13).

Rahab speaks for those who fear the Lord during very difficult times, as said here, “For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.” Joshua 2:10 The “we” includes everyone who understands the power that the hand of God has in this world, and His ability to bring deliverance and victory. God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

People will seek the lovingkindness of Christ and will receive eternal life.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we need to share that what is happening in this world is a mirror image of the prophecies in the Bible. The plague of global warming is prophesied about, the formation of the global government is prophesied about, and the image and mark of the beast has been prophesied about. It’s all here today. There will be those who accept Jesus Christ and who confess that the Lord is God in Heaven and on earth, as what happened here, “And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.” Joshua 2:11

It’s necessary for each one of us to ask the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy and to show us and loved ones His lovingkindness, “Now therefore, I beg you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father’s house, and give me a true token, and spare my father, my mother, my brothers, my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.” Joshua 2:12-13

God has given us the token of the Holy Spirit, and He has given us the covenant through the Cross of Jesus Christ for the atonement of sin. The response to Rahab the harlot was this, “So the men answered her, “Our lives for yours, if none of you tell this business of ours. And it shall be, when the Lord has given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.” Joshua 2:14

As long as we do not betray Jesus Christ, and we hold to His testimony during these days of affliction, we will inherit the promised land of the New Jerusalem.

Christ is risen from the dead and the scarlet cord is in the window.
There is a wall that separates the broad way of the world from the narrow way of the people of God. During the affliction of God’s people, that narrow way has become very narrow, as narrow as a window in a wall. Rahab lived in a house on that wall, and the narrow way to Salvation was through a window. “Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the city wall; she dwelt on the wall.” Joshua 2:15

The men of God followed Rahab’s instructions to flee for the mountains to escape those who were hunting them down, they were there for three days, “And she said to them, “Get to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you. Hide there three days, until the pursuers have returned. Afterward you may go your way.” Joshua 2:16

In a sense, when Jesus Christ lied dead in the grave for three days, He was hidden from those who hated Him. Yet, God raised Him from the dead and He went on His way. Because He lives, we will be resurrected and live eternally with Him.

The men of God made an oath with Rahab that she and her family would be saved, but that oath is only valid if the scarlet cord is left in the window, and they all remain in her house. “So the men said to her: “We will be blameless of this oath of yours which you have made us swear, unless, when we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household to your own home.” Joshua 2:17-18

That scarlet thread represents the blood of Jesus Christ, and the oath God made with us is only valid if we come to Him through Jesus for the remission of sin. Is the blood of Jesus Christ seen in the window of our heart? We must remain in His house, which is to say we must live for the Gospel of Christ and devote our body as the home of the Holy Spirit.

We remain with God through Jesus Christ according to His Word.
The house of God is filled with His family who have come to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. Those are people who live on the narrow way and are set apart from the worldly ways of everyone else. Those who live outside of God’s house are in the broad way that leads to a destructive end and eternal torment. They have rejected Jesus and live and govern for the atheistic entity that gives them what to think, feel, say, and do. Everyone who accepts Jesus will not be touched by the judgment of Jesus Christ and will inherit the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit speaks of that here, “So it will be that whoever goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood shall be on his own head, and we will be guiltless. And whoever is with you in the house, his blood will be on our head if a hand is laid on him.” Joshua 2:19

Anyone who betrays God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, or His people will not be covered by the oath God made through Jesus, as the Holy Spirit said through the men of God to Rahab, “And if you tell this business of ours, then we will be free from your oath which you made us swear.” Joshua 2:20 Like Rahab, we followers of Jesus Christ believe the Word of God, and we leave the blood of Jesus Christ in the window of our heart for all to see. We want others to see Him and to grab the cord of Salvation, as represented here, “Then she said, “According to your words, so be it.” And she sent them away, and they departed. And she bound the scarlet cord in the window.” Joshua 2:21

We will be resurrected and inherit the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem.
Everyone who dies in Christ during the persecution under the government of the beast, and all through time, will be resurrected. Where we go, our persecutors cannot come and will never find us. It’s the same as when Jesus laid in the grave for three days and was resurrected, His grave was empty, and He was nowhere to be found. That is represented here, “They departed and went to the mountain, and stayed there three days until the pursuers returned. The pursuers sought them all along the way, but did not find them.” Joshua 2:22

When we cross over into the eternity of the New Jerusalem, God gives us a new song to sing, and even when we first receive Jesus Christ, we want to tell others what has happened to us. That is what the men of God did when they crossed over and came to Joshua, “So the two men returned, descended from the mountain, and crossed over; and they came to Joshua the son of Nun, and told him all that had befallen them.” Joshua 2:23

We have the testimony of Jesus Christ to share, that the Word of God is true, and the promised land of the New Jerusalem is ours to possess. “And they said to Joshua, “Truly the Lord has delivered all the land into our hands, for indeed all the inhabitants of the country are fainthearted because of us.” Joshua 2:24

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
