Following Jesus Christ to the New Jerusalem if it Includes Worldly Prosperity

  • Jesus Christ gives us provisions for our journey to the New Jerusalem.
  • Many people choose prosperity and family over eternity in the New Jerusalem.
  • This world will be fighting for their utopia until Jesus Christ returns.
  • People are willing to follow God if He doesn’t lead away from worldly prosperity.
  • The global government is dead serious about their global “democracy.”

Jesus Christ gives us provisions for our journey to the New Jerusalem.
“Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’” Joshua 1:10-11

Joshua prepared the people to cross into the promised land by preparing provisions, which would happen after three days. Jesus Christ has spoken to us to take provisions for our journey through this life as we prepare for the New Jerusalem. The purpose of Christ’s resurrection after three days was to give us the Holy Spirit to help us along the way. By coming to Jesus for the remission of sin, we inherit eternal life, and it is ours to possess.

Many people choose prosperity and family over eternity in the New Jerusalem.
“And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh Joshua spoke, saying, “Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, ‘The Lord your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land.’” Joshua 1:12-13

The word Moses spoke is in Numbers 32, which is agreeing to the request of the Reubenites, Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh to not cross into the promised land. The reason they didn’t want to enter the promised land is because they had beautiful property that they did not want to abandon. However, in order for them to keep their territory on the worldly side of the promised land, they would be required to fight until the day the other tribes received the promised land as spoken by God.

In the days of Jesus, the Jewish leaders refused to cross over from their Old Testament standards into the new territory of the New Testament. To this day, the State of Israel is fighting to maintain their promised land as the people of God. Along with that, the global government of the beast and its global culture are fighting to establish their promised land of the global “democracy.” Many today choose worldly prosperity instead of choosing the way of the Cross that leads to eternal life. In the process, they leave their family and possessions on the worldly side of life. “Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock will remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But you will pass before your brethren armed, all your mighty men of valor, and help them…”

Many people today feel responsible for fighting for a promised land with a heart rooted in earthly territory, like the State of Israel. Likewise, the masses of the world are fighting to establish heaven on earth through the global “democracy” driven by the entity that gives them what to do, feel, say, and think. In contrast, the followers of Jesus Christ inherit the eternal promised land of the New Jerusalem, in the new heaven and earth

This world will be fighting for their utopia until Jesus Christ returns.
Those who are fighting for an earthly utopia by establishing the global government, will be fighting until the return of Jesus. That also describes the struggles of Israel today, who will suffer tribulation to the day of the return of Jesus. The global government will be plagued with global turbulence and tribulation until the people of God have their rest. That is represented by the fate of the Reubenites, Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh to fight until others possess the promised land. They will be fighting until the day that Jesus returns and then the followers of Jesus will inherit the promised land of the New Jerusalem.

If the three tribes wanted to keep the territory on the worldly side of the promised land, they were required to fight, “…until the Lord has given your brethren rest, as He gave you, and they also have taken possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving them.” Joshua 1:15a. Followers of Jesus Christ are on the promised land side of the Jordan and Israel is on the opposite side of the Jordan. When the Jewish people migrated to Israel after WW2, I’m sure they planned on enjoying it, but it’s not the promised land of the New Jerusalem, “Then you will return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’s servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise.” Josua 1:15

People are willing to follow God if He doesn’t lead away from worldly prosperity.
The same people who choose worldly prosperity and family, instead of crossing over to the promised land, are the same ones who said, “So they answered Joshua, saying, “All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.” Joshua 1:16

Many people today, and predominantly in the Christless churches, use the scriptures in the Bible to promote the earthly promised land. They will do whatever the Bible says, and go wherever it leads them, as long as it is on the worldly and prosperous side of the Jordan. They are preaching and teaching the word of humanism, which is the fig leaf worn by those who live and govern for the entity that gives them what to think, feel, say, and do. They embrace the community family frame-of-mind. The promises they make to God has nothing to do with following Him to the eternal promised land in the name of Jesus Christ.

Their allegiance to the Word of God is conditional, as spoken here, “Just as we heeded Moses in all things, so we will heed you. Only the Lord your God be with you, as He was with Moses.” Joshua 1:17 The Jewish leaders in the day of Jesus would have supported Him if He had not declared Himself to be the New Covenant, they wanted Him to abide by the Old Testament laws. Likewise, they would have listened to Joshua as long as he followed the promises made to them through Moses, which was the agreement to leave them on the worldly side of the Jordan with their family and prosperity. Like today, people will claim to follow Jesus and do everything God asks as long as they don’t have to give up their family, money, possessions, and physical comforts.

The global government is deadly serious about their global “democracy.”
The same people who refuse to cross into the promised land through Jesus Christ are the same ones who are hostile towards those not willing to fight to keep the territory they have. Those of the State of Israel today are certainly fighting to keep the territory promised to them. The Reubenites, the half tribe of Manasseh, and the Gadites refused to cross the Jordan into the promised land but would put to death anyone who did not fight. If they didn’t fight, they would forfeit their earthly territory on the worldly side of the promised land.

This is what they said, “Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death. Only be strong and of good courage.” Joshua 1:18 The Jewish leaders during the days of Jesus were expecting a military leader, not one that talked about a Heavenly promised land. They would have listened to Christ and punished anyone who did not obey Him, if He was talking about an earthly promise land. Today, it’s like the leaders of the global government and its global culture who are hostile to everyone who rejects their earthly promised land rooted in the global “democracy.” Many suffer death at the hands of the psychotic “lamb” who quietly puts down those who are not counted among today’s social network. In these Christless days, the Holy Spirit encourages us to be strong and of good courage.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
