Israel is Wounded and Made Bitter by Being Hedged in by the Infertile “Status Quo”

Lamentations 3:1-21

Israel is suffering a lot of afflictions and it will get worse after recent events. It’s obvious that the global government of the beast is not going to allow them to pursue their heritage. The United Nations will not allow them to claim Jerusalem as their own, nor to expand the West Bank, nor to have access to the Temple Mount, etc. Israel does not have the support of most nations in the world. Even the United States is against Israel breaking from the “Staus Quo.” They are walking in darkness as far as what they can do to survive as the State of Israel in the Middle East Region. They are not walking in the light of Jesus Christ.

¹I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath.
² He has led me and made me walk
In darkness and not in light.
³ Surely He has turned His hand against me
Time and time again throughout the day.

Israel is not being rejuvenated in their Biblical heritage under the world’s push for a global “democracy,” and that “democracy” includes the global economy. They are aging, there is no way for them to support themselves with their broken bones, they are surrounded by severe threats. Those threats include the bitterness that nuclear weapons bring, such as from Iran who is supported by Russia, etc. They are in a very dark place brought on by the global government, but more than that brought on by the hand of God moved against them.

⁴ He has aged my flesh and my skin,
And broken my bones.
⁵ He has besieged me
And surrounded me with bitterness and woe.
⁶ He has set me in dark places
Like the dead of long ago.

Israel is hedged in on every side by hostile countries who are out to destroy them. Their prayers have been shut out, but it is only Jesus Christ who makes intercession for us all, but the Jewish nation has rejected Him and His intercession. A hewn stone represents something man-made opposed to the Spirit of God, and their paths have been blocked with hewn stone. That hewn stone is the thing that has power over physiology to form thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors, and by which puts all the nations on the same sheet of music. It is the mark of the beast by which the global government operates, and there is no straight path for Israel to take. Whichever path they take, it leads further away from Israel’s heritage, and even farther away from the Lord Jesus Christ. They are like prey in a lion’s ambush.

⁷ He has hedged me in so that I cannot get out;
He has made my chain heavy.
⁸ Even when I cry and shout,
He shuts out my prayer.
⁹ He has blocked my ways with hewn stone;
He has made my paths crooked.

¹⁰ He has been to me a bear lying in wait,
Like a lion in ambush.
¹¹ He has turned aside my ways and torn me in pieces;
He has made me desolate.
¹² He has bent His bow
And set me up as a target for the arrow.

The global government is growing stronger and stronger every day, and with their united nations they are cutting off the ability of Israel to blossom with children. Which is to say that Israel will not be parenting any new territory in Jerusalem, the West Bank, etc. without being mercilessly attacked. Israel will not even have help from the USA, as members of the United Nations are against a breach of the “Status Quo,” which means no more new children, no more expansion of their territory, etc. Bitterness and wormwood are associated with nuclear contamination, and its likely Israel could be attacked with nuclear weapons. Israel is filled with bitterness and hopelessness as they refuse to surrender their independence as a state. They flaunt the global government and the prosperity of the global economy.

¹³ He has caused the arrows of His quiver
To pierce my loins.
¹⁴ I have become the ridicule of all my people—
Their taunting song all the day.
¹⁵ He has filled me with bitterness,
He has made me drink wormwood.

¹⁶ He has also broken my teeth with gravel,
And covered me with ashes.
¹⁷ You have moved my soul far from peace;
I have forgotten prosperity.
¹⁸ And I said, “My strength and my hope
Have perished from the Lord.”

The more sour things get for Israel, the more sour things get for the world. The Battle of Armageddon corresponds to the destruction of Israel and happens just before the return of Jesus Christ. Through it all, Israel has hope that God will remember them favorably. Even then, the State of Israel was established in 1948 for the sake of God’s Holy name but not for the sake of the Israelis. “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went.” Ezekiel 36:22 In other words, an attack on Israel is an attack on God, and God will bring His vengeance against this global “democracy” of the mark of the beast. He is not defending the Israelis; He is defending His Holy name.

¹⁹ Remember my affliction and roaming,
The wormwood and the gall.
²⁰ My soul still remembers
And sinks within me.
²¹ This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
