Israel Suffers Loss of Power in Face of International Scrutiny

Lamentations 2:1-11

Anger is directed at Israel from every nation around the world, which has become obviously apparent in the past week as an Israeli official visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. It stirred so much wrath that other nations took the issue to the United Nations, who voted to refer the matter to the world court. The beauty of Israel has disappeared as the global government of the mark of the beast has painted her ugly.

1How the Lord has covered the daughter of Zion
With a cloud in His anger!
He cast down from heaven to the earth
The beauty of Israel,
And did not remember His footstool
In the day of His anger.

Israel really doesn’t have any more strongholds left in the world, as she is being forced to abide by the agenda of the global “democracy.” Even the United States has objected to Israel’s attempts to claim access to the Temple Mount or any other part of Jerusalem or the West Bank. They call it maintaining the “status quo.” The State of Israel is a profane thing in the eyes of the world, along with her diplomats and government officials. Israel is being devoured from all around and her military aggression is being considered illegal by the international community (including the U.S.A.), which paves a way to neutralize Israel as an independent state.

The Lord has swallowed up and has not pitied
All the dwelling places of Jacob.
He has thrown down in His wrath
The strongholds of the daughter of Judah;
He has brought them down to the ground;
He has profaned the kingdom and its princes.

He has cut off in fierce anger
Every horn of Israel;
He has drawn back His right hand
From before the enemy.
He has blazed against Jacob like a flaming fire
Devouring all around.

A bent bow represents something about ready to be shot, or the threat of being shot, which would be terrorizing to whom it is aimed at. It is aimed at Israel by the nations around her. Israel’s surrounding nations have been categorized as terrorists, even though recent United States presidents stand in support of the Palestinians in trying to promote peace in the Middle East. Iran continues to be a nuclear power and a foe of Israel, as the United States negotiates with Iran concerning nuclear talks which Israel objects to. Israel was once pleasing to God, but not anymore. Israel’s palaces have been swallowed up in the Holy Land and she is lamenting.

Standing like an enemy, He has bent His bow;
With His right hand, like an adversary,
He has slain all who were pleasing to His eye;
On the tent of the daughter of Zion,
He has poured out His fury like fire.

The Lord was like an enemy.
He has swallowed up Israel,
He has swallowed up all her palaces;
He has destroyed her strongholds,
And has increased mourning and lamentation
In the daughter of Judah.

Jerusalem is no longer a place of dedication, feasts, and Sabbath worship for Israel. The Temple Mount does not belong to Israel and the Palestinians probably occupies more of Jerusalem than Israel does. Jerusalem is a place of violence due to the hatred of the Israelis. There are no more prophets or priests left in Israel because the testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy, “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10 Israel rejects Jesus Christ as the Messiah sent by God, and they are not in tune to the book of Revelation nor any other prophecy relating to Jesus. In fact, Israel is rejecting Jesus Christ who gives the Holy Spirit and makes the altar of God what it is.

He has done violence to His tabernacle,
As if it were a garden;
He has destroyed His place of assembly;
The Lord has caused
The appointed feasts and Sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion.
In His burning indignation He has spurned the king and the priest.

The Lord has spurned His altar,
He has abandoned His sanctuary;
He has delivered the walls of her palaces
Into the hand of the enemy.
They have made a noise in the house of the Lord
As on the day of a set feast.

There are lines drawn all over the Middle East warning each other not to cross them. Mostly, those lines are drawn against Israel and there is military and interpersonal violence each time Israel is accused of crossing those lines. Today, that line is called the “Staus Quo,” meaning to leave the boundaries of Israel exactly as they are, and not to bother the Palestinians any more over their occupation of Jerusalem and their control over the Temple Mount. Israel is being forced to let go of their Biblical heritage. The walls of Israel have been breached and their destruction continues. Israel’s state representatives are among the global government of the mark of the beast (United Nations), they must abide by their rulings or severe consequences follow. The Law of the Jewish heritage no longer applies, and there are no more prophecies coming from the State of Israel.

The Lord has purposed to destroy
The wall of the daughter of Zion.
He has stretched out a line;
He has not withdrawn His hand from destroying;
Therefore He has caused the rampart and wall to lament;
They languished together.

Her gates have sunk into the ground;
He has destroyed and broken her bars.
Her king and her princes are among the nations;
The Law is no more,
And her prophets find no vision from the Lord.

The Jewish people who desire to maintain their heritage, including the possession of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, are kept in silence as they mourn. It is despairing to them that their heritage is being destroyed. The children and even the infants faint in the streets of Israel, meaning the Jewish heritage is disappearing from them. The children and infants are under the influence of the thing that has power over feelings, behaviors, emotions, and thoughts. It blasphemes God and the entire heritage of the Jewish people. It is the mark of the beast on which the global government operates.

10 The elders of the daughter of Zion
Sit on the ground and keep silence;
They throw dust on their heads
And gird themselves with sackcloth.
The virgins of Jerusalem
Bow their heads to the ground.

11 My eyes fail with tears,
My heart is troubled;
My bile is poured on the ground
Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people,
Because the children and the infants
Faint in the streets of the city.
