- Church leaders are indignant at people rising up in the name of Jesus.
- Animals are treated like people and vice versa.
Jesus Christ heals us so that we can raise up in His name. “Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.” Luke 13:10 Jesus was in a church teaching, and the leaders of the churches were conspiring to put Him down. That describes the churches of today which have discarded the Gospel of Christ. This was the last time Jesus would be in a church before His crucifixion, and He saw a woman who not able to raise herself up. She looked more like a four-footed animal moving than she did a two-footed person walking. “And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up.” Luke 13:11
One thing any follower of Jesus Christ would be happy to see in the churches is for someone to raise up in the name of Jesus Christ. There is nothing better than to have a human soul filled with Christ, instead of thinking ourselves to be no better than the animals. There is nothing better than to see a person talking about Christ coming back, the judgment to come, the sacrifice He made for us on the Cross for the remission of sin, His resurrection, and ascension into Heaven. And that is exactly what Jesus came to do, to loose us from our infirmity of sin so that we can raise up to glorify His name. “But when Jesus saw her, He called her to him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity. And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.” Luke 13:12-13
“So rise and be healed in the name of Jesus
Just let faith rise in your soul
Rise and be healed in the name of Jesus
He will cleanse you and make you whole.”
(Church Hymn)
Church leaders are indignant at people rising up in the name of Jesus. The church leaders do not take kindly, and are flat-out indignant, when people rise up in the name of Jesus and start sharing His Gospel. “But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath…” Luke 13:14a. The church leaders are not led by the Holy Spirit, meaning they don’t have “on the spot” compassion for those who need a healing touch from the Cross of Christ. This is what the church leader said, “…and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” Luke 13:14b. Those words come from a heart hardened to the leading of the Holy Spirit, hardened to the Spirit of Christ, and hardened to the compassion of God. A heart becomes cold like that when they follow the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that come to them through the thing that has power over physiology. They follow the prodding of the mark of the beast instead of following the Holy Spirit, which means they are indignant when people raise up in the name of Jesus.
Animals are treated like people and vice versa. The church leaders treat their animals better than they do people, “The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it?” Luke 13:15 People frequently say that animals are better cared for than people nowadays. Humanism considers people to be a specie of animal and not God’s Divine creation. Today, there is a momentum to put animals in the spotlight to show their need for food, water, health, safety, housing, socialization, love, respectful treatment, and to be able to achieve in their natural habitat. The implication is that animals have the same need as people, but they discard the divinity of the soul and our need for God. Consider this, shooting a police dog will get you twenty to forty years in prison, but police people are being violently shot with more and more frequency. More compassion for animals is doing nothing to give the human soul the peace it needs by coming to God through Jesus Christ.
Today, humanism is empowered by the mark of the beast and the power over physiology includes animals and people alike, which they put on show. The world is in bondage to sin and the turbulence in communities around the world is proof of people acting like animals. As God’s creation, we need Him to fill our soul through Jesus Christ so that we can raise up in the Holy Spirit. While animals are put on an equal par with people, Jesus says, “So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” Luke 13:16
“And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.” Luke 13:17
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
