Salvation is in Jesus Christ Who has Authority Over Environmental Elements

We are crossing to the other side with Jesus Christ. Anywhere we go with Jesus Christ is according to our journey through this sin-plagued world. Crossing to the other side with Him is about being set apart from a sinful world to live a life for Him. That means to read the Bible, separate from people who live contrary to the teachings of Jesus, glorify His name, and to share John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” We are also crossing from this world into the eternal city of the New Jerusalem. His disciples got into a boat with Jesus and was given the command to cross to the other side, “Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” And they launched out.” Luke 8:22

Times of peril in a Christless world. Today, the followers of Jesus are experiencing the perilous windstorms on the lake after beginning to cross to the other side with Jesus. The society of today are living by the mark of the beast and are hostile to the teachings of the Bible, God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They bring the perilous windstorms. “But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in peril.” Luke 8:23 In a sense, Jesus is asleep in this Christless world, the same as saying that the Holy Spirit has been taken out of the way to give rise to lawlessness, “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10

Jesus Christ restores order and brings peace to those who are with Him. Christ has given us the Holy Spirit to comfort us through these hostile times, which are dominated by those who live for the mark of the beast. Even then, these are frightening times as the people of God cry out for the return of Jesus and His judgments, “And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, Holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Revelation 6:10 The Holy Spirit describes that in this verse, “And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.” Luke 8:24 Jesus Christ returns when this world is an absolute shamble, the global economy has collapsed, violence is everywhere, there is nothing good left in the world, and there is environmental catastrophe everywhere. Upon His return, He will rebuke the wind and the raging of the water, there will be calm. There will be calm for the faithful few who are in the boat with Jesus Christ, for we who come to God by the remission of sins. We will live in heavenly peace within the new heaven and earth of the New Jerusalem.

Jesus Christ has authority over all environmental factors of this earth. “But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!” Luke 8:25 Jesus Christ has the authority over environmental factors, including the winds, water, and the sun. This is much more than a “Seven-day Weather Forecast,” and much more than predictions in a “Farmer’s Almanac.” For example, global warming plays a role in the destruction of the power center of the mark of the beast, and it is intensifying right alongside with the progress of the global government. That is revealed in Revelation 16:8-10. Global warming is in its beginning stages and so is the global government of the mark of the mark of the beast. That alone should bolster our faith that the hand of God is in it all and is designed to bring us to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is not on this earth through “clean energy,” Salvation is eternal within the new heaven and earth of the New Jerusalem.
