Send people to validate Jesus as the One sent for the atonement of sin. As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to be kept posted on how He is working in today’s world, like John the Baptist, “Then the disciples of John reported to him concerning all these things.” Luke 7:18 When history-changing events happen in front of our eyes, we know who to turn to for the answers, Jesus Christ. We want people to seek for Him and ask, “Are you the One?”, John did that, “And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another? When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’” Luke 7:19-20 As a Baby Boomer, I remember the time when the congregation was given a period of time to stand up and share a testimony of what Jesus has done for us. There was a lot to share because He has done a lot all around the world, “And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.” Luke 7:21 As followers of Jesus, we are supposed to share what Christ does for us to encourage and validate the faith we have in Him, “Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.” Luke 7:22

Followers of Jesus Christ have a testimony to share.

  1. We once were blind and now we see. The light of Jesus Christ helps us to see within a dark world. Communities around the nation and the world are losing their soul by living for the mark of the beast. Coming to God through Jesus Christ is our Salvation.
  2. We once were lame and now we walk. Jesus Christ enables to walk in the Holy Spirit. That is not possible wen living by the thing that has power over our thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors.
  3. We once were lepers and now are cleansed. Jesus Christ cleanses our heart and mind to prepare our body to be the home of the Holy Spirit. That is something that will never happen with the thing that wants to establish our body as the seat of government for the mark of the beast.
  4. We once were deaf and now we hear. Jesus enables us to hear the Word of God through the Holy Spirit, before but Jesus we were made deaf by the thing that wants us to hear through uncanny knowledge and heightened intuition.
  5. We once were dead and now we live. Jesus Christ makes us alive to God through His name as we fill with the Holy Spirit. The mark of the beast makes us dead to God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. It wants to turn us into a human robot.
  6. The poor have the Gospel preached to them. Without Jesus Christ, the destitute of this world would be without hope. They are alienated from the society that prospers with money, wealth, and physical comforts which come as rewards for those who serve in the social network of the mark of the best. Today, sharing the Gospel is practically extinct. There are no evangelists bringing the Gospel to the migrants around the world. At the US/Mexico border there are 166,000 migrants arriving every month. We are living in the days of the mark of the beast, “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:7-8

We are blessed if we do not stumble over Christ in this Christless world. Today, the teachings of the Bible, and everyone who lives for Jesus Christ, are considered bigots, haters of humanity, unsupportive, and unloving. The world is following the churchy sounding words of humanism which are being used to establish the global government of the mark of the beast, and they have no use for the Salvation of Jesus Christ. They are causing people to stumble over the Gospel of Christ which teaches about the love of God which comes through Jesus, “And blessed is he who is not caused to stumble because of Me.” Luke 7:23

People should see us as a person who says, “Prepare the way of the Lord.” When people see us as a follower of Jesus Christ, what are they seeing? Someone who shakes like a plant in the wind from fear or instability? “When the messengers of John had departed, He began to speak to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? Luke 7:24 Do they see someone who is living with the prosperity of money, possessions, and physical comforts? Those things come as rewards for serving the government of the mark of the beast in the name of humanism, “But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings’ courts.” Luke 7:25 What they should see is someone who is stable and without fear in sharing the testimony of Jesus Christ. They should see someone who forsakes the materialism on which the society of the mark of the beast is built. Like John the Baptist, we share the testimony of Jesus Christ, “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10 The prophecy we preach is to prepare for the return of Jesus Christ by coming to Him for the remission of sin. In a sense, we are the John the Baptists of today, but John was the fulfilment of Bible prophecy, “But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. This is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’” Luke 7:26-27 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” Isaiah 40:3

Redemption in Heaven is greater than any earthly person. Coming to God through Jesus Christ is a very special event. The prophets of the Bible are great people in the eyes of Jesus Christ, and there were none greater than John. But we who are least in the kingdom of God are greater than even John. The redemption we receive in the New Jerusalem is to make us perfectly sinless and Holy, something that no earthly prophet can attain. Jesus is letting us know that there is eternal life and something much more than life on this earth. “For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Luke 7:28 One day, we will meet John the Baptist in Heaven, not as someone greater but as someone who has attained equal greatness in the kingdom of God. “And when all the people heard Him, even the publicans declared the righteousness of God, having been baptized with the baptism of John.” Luke 7:29

Authorities who reject Jesus complain that Christians are not in synch. People who reject the will of God are the same ones who refuse to believe the message that we need to prepare for the return of Jesus Christ. They reject the need for Salvation through Him. They embrace the power, authority and materialism given to them by those who govern through the mark of the beast. That was the case with the Pharisees and experts in the law, “But the Pharisees and experts in the law rejected the will of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.” Luke 7:30 What are those people like? Jesus asks that question, “And the Lord said, “To what then shall I liken the men of this generation, and what are they like?” Luke 7:31 They are like children who complain that no one is following their rules on the playground, “They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling to one another, saying: ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we mourned to you, and you did not weep.’” Luke 7:32 Followers of Jesus Christ are not on the same sheet of music as those who live by the mark of the beast. We do not dance and respond according to the thing that has power over physiology to play our emotions, feelings, and behaviors. Neither do we dance and respond to their ability to give physical comforts, money, possessions, and social integration.

Whatever we do is not accepted, so we live in the wisdom of Jesus Christ. Some people are discarded from the society who lives for the mark of the beast, especially those who live for the testimony of Jesus Christ. When they decide that someone is out then they are out. They complain that the problem is us for not being on the same sheet of music with them, but that is just “gaslighting.” If we are light eaters and abstain from drinking alcohol and using drugs, they say that is the problem, we should be eating and drinking. If we eat and drink then they say that is the problem, and we are hanging out with the wrong crowd. Jesus explains that to us, “For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’” Luke 7:33-34 The children born from the testimony of Jesus Christ is very much different from the children born of the mark of the beast. The children born from the mark of the beast sees nothing beyond this natural world, those born of Christ are preparing for His return. “But wisdom is justified by all her children.” Luke 7:35

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
