Click here for a description of the mark of the beast.
The environment that Mary and Joseph lived in during the announcement of the Virgin Birth draws a vivid picture contrasted to this year 2022. They were engaged to be married and lived in a city that was not rewarded with economic development, and this was said, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” John 1:46 Humanism, empowered by the mark of the beast, uses economic development to reward a city for embracing the thing that has power over thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors. At the same time, they reject Godly heritage rooted in the teachings of the Bible. In that environment, the marriage of Mary and Joseph would be destined to destitution, without money, possessions, and physical comforts. While everyone else thrives on being esteemed and respected as the elite who belongs to the society of the mark of the beast, Mary was quite the opposite. She felt troubled to be told to rejoice as she was called the “highly favored one.” Within herself would be the embryo of the Hoy Spirit, within a world hostile to the goodness of God. When the Angel spoke to Mary, he gave her peace as he convinced her that she would have a child that would be a great ruler over nations. Her Son would be born of the Holy Spirit, and she would have no sexual encounter with a man, and He would be called the Son of God.

There was a Godly couple in a lowly esteemed city. Mary and Joseph were from Nazareth, a town with not a very good reputation, in fact when someone said the Savior was from Nazareth the response was, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” John 1:46 Jesus was known as “Jesus from Nazareth”. Nazareth was small, isolated and nourished by only a single spring of fresh water. It was not located on any major trade routes and was considered of no political importance. By today’s standards, it would be known as a city lacking the reward of economic development from the hands of the system of humanism empowered by the mark of the beast. But it’s to that city where the Angel of God went, “Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth” Luke 1:26 In that city was a virgin woman named Mary, who was engaged to Joseph, who was from a very prestigious lineage relating to Bible heritage. He was from the house of King David. “…to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.” Luke 1:27 Something to celebrate was about to come through that lowly esteemed city, a virgin would carry the Savior of the world in her womb, “And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” Luke 1:28
God is pleased with those who hold to the Godly heritage of the teachings of the Bible when there is no money, possessions, nor earthly honor. We hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ, Jesus from Nazareth.
The woman is given the news of the greatness of her unborn Son. In today’s world, there are people who expect to be talked to as if they should be highly favored. They are living by the mark of the beast and do not take criticism or disrespect gracefully, but they are very good at belittling and disrespecting those who rejoice in the Spirit of Christ. Then, there are Godly people who are immediately suspicious of flattery and high praise because it only serves to sabotage the joy within the testimony of Jesus Christ. It leads to bad news. When Mary heard someone tell her to rejoice because she is highly favored, it set off some troubling vibes, “But she was troubled at his saying and considered what manner of greeting this was.” Luke 1:29 It would be comforting to know that the only intention a person has is to share the Word of God with us, “Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” Luke 1:30 The news she received would be unbelievable, but words that every Godly woman would want to hear, that she would have a beautiful baby Son with the beautiful name of Jesus, “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus.” Luke 1:31 Even more remarkable, as a woman living in a city where nothing good could come, her Son would be a great King and highly esteemed, “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.” Luke 1:32 Her Son would go down in history forever, “And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:33
The virgin woman learns that she will be carrying the Child born of the Holy Spirit. There is nothing sacred in today’s world, and that includes virginity. Humanism believes in nothing except the natural processes of the human body, which means they accommodate sexual desires. It is empowered by the thing that has power over feelings and emotions, therefore safe sexual practices are taught to school students. It is the mark of the beast that destroys faith in Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible. Even when I was a young teen, forty-eight years ago, to hear someone say they were still a virgin incited laughing mockery or quiet scrutiny. Mary made the truth known that she was a virgin, “Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” Luke 1:34
There is a reason the Son of God was born as a human by the Holy Spirit, He is the example of the importance of our humanness being filled with the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. There is a thing in this world that takes our humanness away and tramples on the Holy Spirit. It is able to form our thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behaviors which eliminates self-will and impulses. They say it eliminates the source of sin which comes from the failure of human beings trying to control their own fleshly impulses. It turns people into a flesh and blood robot. It is also the fulfillment of Bible prophecy relating to the mark of the beast and the establishment of the global government. To be a human being, filled with the Holy Spirit, is very precious in the eyes of God. Jesus came as a human to bring Salvation to humans to make us the temple of the Holy Spirit, not the temple of the mark of the beast. Jesus Christ was born from the virgin womb of a woman, whose fertilization was of the Holy Spirit, He is the Son of God, “And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:35
The woman learns of another miracle birth. Two birthing miracles happen, one from the mother of John the Baptist and one from the mother of Jesus the Christ. Elizabeth, the mother of John was beyond the age to give birth, and Mary, the mother of Jesus gave birth by the Holy Spirit, before having sexual relations with a man. The Jewish nation was very old in age and probably thought the hope of the coming of their Messiah would never happen, then it happened, Jesus came in the power of the Holy Spirit. Likewise, this world is getting very old, and it is very near to His return.
“Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age;
and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.” For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”
And the angel departed from her.”
Luke 1:36-38
John was born from parents of the tribe of Levi, which means he was from the lineage of the old ministry who served in the human made churches. But John was different because he was filled with the Holy Spirit while in his mother’s womb, “He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.” Luke 1:15 That explains why he was a voice in the wilderness encouraging people to prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ instead of participating in the activity of the churches. Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah and had no ministerial rights within the human made temple of God. But He came to make our body the temple of the Holy Spirit and He is the minister over that temple not made with human hands. John, who had full rights to be a minister, said the ministry of Jesus is greater than his, “John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Luke 3:16
The churches of today are not preaching and teaching about the return of Jesus Christ, they are not preparing anyone for His return. It is up to us followers of Jesus to share the Gospel of His return from outside the boundaries of the institutional churches.
The birth of Jesus was six months after the birth of John.
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
