“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” Hebrews 11:1-3

By looking around the globe, we can see where the faith of people rests. Obviously, the masses have faith that protests and riots will get them what they want relating to conformity to the global goals. It’s obvious that their faith rests in the global “democracy” that they are working to usher in. It’s obvious that their faith is in the thing that has power over physiology and is able to form thoughts, emotions, words and behaviors. It enables the image of the beast to live and speak through them and that is where their faith is. Their faith is what is forming the shape of this changing world. Their faith is within the fig leaf of humanism that is the clothing worn by the global culture. By their anti-Christian faith, the masses of people are conformed to the global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast by what they say and do.

At one time, it was Godly faith that formed the foundations of America, and there is a church building on practically every street corner. For those who deny the Christan foundation of the USA then the question to them is, “Where did all the Churches come from?” It is still true that God is the Creator and “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.” Today, it is still true that the faith of the followers of Jesus Christ will lead us into the eternal city of New Jerusalem.

This chapter of Hebrews makes it clear that faith forms the shape of our world. We made not be able to see faith because it is invisible, but we see the type of world that is being formed by people’s beliefs. That is similar to God creating this world from what is invisible to give us the universe we see today. Faith is what propels us to establish something that doesn’t yet exist. For followers of Jesus Christ, our faith is what will enable us to realize eternal life, on the flipside, unGodly faith is what enables the realization of the global “democracy.” The table below highlights an act of Godly faith and the world it formed. After this post, the following posts will elaborate on the faith of God’s people and the world it forms.

By FaithThe World it Formed
Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than CainToday, it’s not about being vegetarian or respecting animal life, it’s about offering to God what He expects, which is to honor Him through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Enoch was taken away and did not see death Today, we believe in the power of God to give us eternal life by lifting us up into the heavens to be with Him.
Faith pleases GodToday, we know we are rewarded by God for our faith
Noah built an ark with no visible signs of the floods to comeToday, we prepare for the tribulation to come by coming to God through Jesus Christ and have faith for our Salvation to come.
Abraham started a journey in obedience to God, not knowing where he was going in hopes of receiving an inheritance. He lived in a foreign land waiting for the promise.Today, we are looking forward towards our home in the New Jerusalem and consider this world to be a foreign land, not our home as we wait for His return
Sarah believed God who promised her a child when she was past the age of being able to give birth. Today, we may think it’s been too long for Jesus to return, but like the rebirth of the Jewish nation at a very old age, Jesus will return
Faith is to die believing in the promises to come while being strangers on this earth. Today, Believers hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ to the very end.
Faith is to speak plainly of the heavenly homeland. Today, the followers of Jesus Christ feel the urgency to talk plainly about eternal life in the New Jerusalem.
Abraham offered his only son as a sacrifice having faith that God was able to raise him from the dead to make his descendants as many as the stars. Today, John 3:16 is a verse readily known, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning the unseen things that were to come, as did Jacob with his sonsToday, we offer blessings on the followers of Jesus Christ who are on a journey to the New Jerusalem, an unseen itinerary.
By faith, when Joseph was dying, he talked about the departure of the children of Israel from Egypt and gave instructions concerning his bones.Today, we encourage everyone to separate from the ways of this world, to escape sin through Jesus Christ and to begin the journey of faith to the heavenly home. Our earthly demise does not prevent that message.
By faith, the parents of the newborn Moses hid him from being aborted, didn’t fear the laws of the government requiring abortion (Abortion during those days was to murder newborns and very young children, since they didn’t have the modern technology of today to do those killings)Today, the followers of Jesus Christ oppose the killing of the unborn and oppose an unGodly government and their regulations establishing abortions as a way of life. God’s people believe in the sanctity of life.
By faith, Moses refused to be identified with the oppressors of God’s people, chose to identify with God’s people and to share in their affliction.Today, we refuse to identify with the social network of this world, we do not identify with those who oppress the testimony of Jesus Christ, we choose to suffer as the children of God.
By faith, Moses disowned the government in order to follow God who is unseenToday, the followers of Jesus Christ reject the government of the beast as we choose and live by faith in the promises of God
By faith, Moses kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, to save the firstborn Today, we believe that the blood of Jesus Christ atones for sin and brings Salvation. We keep the Gospel message alive within us, we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension, and eternal life.
By faith, Moses and the Israelites passed through the Red Sea, as if it were dry land, and the Egyptians were drowned Today, walking in Jesus Christ seems like dry ground in this Godless world, but it is us who will pass to the other side to eternal life. Those who choose the thing giving them what to think, feel, do and say will drown in their efforts to create heaven on earth as they persecute God’s people in the process.
By faith, the people encircled the walls of Jericho for seven days and the walls fell downToday, we know that the walls of this Christless world system will collapse, and by obedience to God’s Word we will inherit the New Jerusalem.
By faith, Rahab the harlot received God’s spies and did not perish in the battle that followedToday, we know that whatever life we lived, or whoever we are today, as long as we embrace Jesus Christ, embrace and support the people of God, we will inherit eternal life.
People of faith are innumerable, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the Prophets. By faith they subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, chased away armies of invaders, and women received their dead loved ones back to life. Today, we stand strong in the face of the world’s population who live for the anti-Chrisitan global culture of the beast. We know we will be raised to life to live eternally with Jesus Christ.
By faith, many people were willing to be tortured in hopes of obtaining the promise of the resurrection. Others had mock trials, punishments, imprisonments, and sufferings of various types. They were stoned, sawed in two, tempted in many ways, and killed by the sword. They were destitute, afflicted, tormented, and impoverished. They were homeless living in deserts, mountains, dens, and caves. Today, our faith has to be strong because we are experiencing horrid difficulties. There is mass homelessness in cities around the world, millions of migrants with no place to live who are actually living in deserts, being destitute, with no housing, clothing, etc. Everything mentioned in the column to left is happening today in modern terms. The faith of the followers of Jesus Christ is for a better home, a heavenly home in the eternal city of the New Jerusalem.

“And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise,
God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.”
Hebrews 11:39-40

As the verse above says, it is by faith in God through Jesus Christ that we are brought together. Our ancestors obtained a good testimony as an example to us and as a symbol of the type of faith that we need today as followers of Jesus Christ, yet they did not receive the promised land in this world, “And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise.” The promised land which everyone receives is a heavenly home, eternal life through Jesus. We all receive the same promise of eternal life because we believe God and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, “that they should not be made perfect apart from us.” We will all live in perfection when we are resurrected from the dead and enter into the eternal presence of Jesus Christ.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
