Expectation to Remain on the Path of Salvation.
There is concern when a person loses their focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are not growing in the knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. It’s safe to assume that those people are fading from their Salvation, but we know they are capable of renewing their allegiance to the Gospel, “But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany Salvation.” Hebrews 6:9Those things that accompany Salvation include glorifying the name of Jesus, a yearning to share the testimony of Jesus Christ, and a working knowledge of Bible scriptures.

Showing kindness and love towards others is what this current system claims to do, but they are embracing humanism which is the clothing for the thing which forms what people think, feel, do, and say. The thing forming thoughts and feelings enables the image of the beast to live and speak through people, and by what they say and do they lift up the creature human being while rejecting God the Creator. They are conformed to the “democratic” global culture as they are groomed to the mark of the beast.

While the world has gone the way of the “democratic” global society of the beast, God remembers those who show love towards the Lord Jesus Christ and who minister to those who share His testimony. “For God is not unjust to forget your work and love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10

Imitate those Who Inherit the Promise.
The best hope that we have is for others to continue their work and love for the name of Jesus, to show love and to do good deeds for the followers of Jesus Christ, “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish.” Hebrews 6:11-12a. There are a few faithful people in this world who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ. We are scattered and the message of the Gospel impeded, but the name of Jesus is being glorified and the banner of Christ is being lifted up. Let’s be an example of faith and patience as someone who inherits the eternal promises of God.

In Hebrews 11 there are many examples of those we should imitate as an example of faith and patience. They are examples of living in this anti-Christian world on the way to inheriting the promised land of the New Jerusalem, “Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12b.

Patiently Awaiting the Promise of God.
The promises from the Word of God are unfolding in front of our eyes. We are seeing today what all of the Prophets said would happen, the return of Jesus Christ is sure to happen. Global warming and the appearing of the global government of the beast are in the world at the same time, which requires patience and endurance.

These are fearfully wonderful times. We see the thing which forms what people think, feel, do, and say and it is enabling the image of the beast to live and speak through people in every city around the world. That means we are within “42 months” of the end of the beast’s domination of this world, as quoted, “and it was given authority to continue for forty-two months.” Revelation 13:5 The power center of the beast is destroyed in the Fifth Plague Revelation 16:10-11, that is the end of its authority to reign. Then the Battle of Armageddon comes in the Sixth Plague Revelation 16:12-16. Then Jesus Christ comes back when the Seventh Trumpet sounds Revelation 11:15-19 and the Seventh Plague is unleashed Revelation 17-21.

Today, we are seeing the wave of global tribulation, the hostility towards the State of Israel, and the affliction of Christianity. Global warming is an event that contributes to the end of this current world’s system, as written about in Revelation 16:8-10 and 2 Peter 3:10-12. This is all written about in God’s Word, what He says is guaranteed and sworn by His own name as an oath, and a confirmation. The Good News is that those who come to God through Jesus Christ will inherit the blessing of Salvation and we will be a family of God within the Eternal City of the New Jerusalem. “For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”  Hebrews 6:13-14 Christianity is the fulfillment of the promise made to Abraham of multiplying the family of God.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we will experience suffering by those who serve the “democratic” global culture of the beast, but hold on to what you have in Jesus Christ, His promises are a sure thing, “And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” Hebrews 6:15 Abraham was 100 years of age and Sarah 90 when the promise of God was fulfilled, they had a son named Isaac. The word of God is 100% sure and when He swears by His own name that is doubly secure. There is no name greater to swear by than by the name of God, “For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.” Hebrews 6:16

Impossible for God to Lie. “Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” Hebrews 6:17-18

The two immutable, or unchangeable, things are the word of God and the promise God made by swearing on Himself. In other words, He gave His personal promise sealed by His own name. His promise was made good through His Son Jesus Christ who gave birth to Christianity. The followers of Jesus Christ of today are the heirs of the promise made with God’s sworn oath. While we take refuge from the hostilities of this anti-Christian world, the hope set before us is as real as the promise made to Abraham and Sarah. While we endure affliction in this world, the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ is sure to happen. He gives us His personal word sealed by His own name.

Hope Anchors the Soul. “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” Hebrews 6:19-20

The hope we have in Jesus Christ for eternal life is the hope we have as an anchor of the soul. This is a hope which enters the place within the soul where we have fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our downpayment and guarantee of our admittance into the New Jerusalem. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross to atone for sin, He opened the place behind the veil by putting our sin in remission. The pace behind the veil is where we have fellowship with the Spirit of God. When God raised Jesus from the dead, He became the Priest over our soul, meaning He now ministers to our inner most being. Jesus Christ is the eternal High Priest.

Today. the battle is for the place behind the veil within our soul. The opponent wants to sit in the temple of God, our body, as if it is God. It does that by forming what people think, feel, say, and do. God has made us to be the temple of the Holy Spirit by coming to Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.

The reason Jesus Christ is a priest after the order of Melchizedek is because neither one was from the batch of ministers usually chosen for ministry. Neither were from the Tribe of Levi, which was the tribe from which all priests came. They broke the mold of the traditional role of ministers. In today’s terms, Jesus Christ would not be a minister like the ones in the churches, as said here, “Now if He were on earth, He wouldn’t be a priest, since there are priests offering the gifts prescribed by the law.” Hebrews 8:4 To clarify, all priests came from the tribe of Levi, similar to all ministers of today coming from some type of religious training, Jesus was not among them. Jesus was from the tribe of Judah. Jesus doesn’t minister from a church building; He ministers by the Spirit from within our soul.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
