- Word of God Discerns What We Think and Feel.
- Jesus Christ Identifies with Our Humanness.
No One is Hidden from God’s Eyes.
God has rested from His work of creation, but now it is time for us to rest in the Salvation of Jesus Christ, that is the rest that we enter. There is no restful salvation for this planet, but there is Salvation for the people on this planet. While the whole world is trying to save the planet with a “global democracy,” it is fueled by the mark of the beast in the name of humanism. There is no rest in rejecting the Deity of Jesus Christ. We see what is happening in this world because God has shown it to us through His Word. Global tribulation is coming because people are disobedient to God’s Salvation plan that comes through Jesus, “Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.”
The Word of God is able to discern between disobedience and resting in Jesus Christ. That is essential since there is a thing that has the power to form thoughts, emotions, and feelings and wants to use people as its seat of government. How do we know its purpose is against the rest we have in the Deity of Jesus Christ? Because God’s Word has the ability to tell us so, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit.” The thoughts and feelings that come to us through the mark of the beast are severed by the sharp two-edged sword of the Holy Scriptures.
The Word of God does not allow for the temple of the Holy Spirit to be the seat of government for unGodly intentions, as He pierces to the division of soul and spirit. In the dividing of soul and spirit, we need to be able to discern the intents of the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that enters us. The Holy Spirit through the Word of God is a “discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” We give an account to God, not to the intrusive presence of the mark of the beast, “There is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
“Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest,
lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open
to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
Hebrews 4:11-13
Jesus Christ Identifies with Our Humanness.
If Jesus Christ was with us today, in flesh and blood, He would be going through exactly what we are going through. The thing that has power over physiology would be inserting thoughts, feelings, and emotions in an attempt to take over His soul. It would be trying to set up its seat of government within Christ, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” While Jesus Christ is not here in the flesh, the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures are, and we have an open invitation to come to Him, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” In our human weaknesses, there are going to be times when unGodly thoughts, feelings, and behaviors overwhelm us, but Jesus Christ is merciful and full of grace. Just keep-on-keeping-on glorifying the name of Jesus Christ through all things. Let’s hold on to our Salvation knowing that Jesus is our High Priest.
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:14-16
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
