People are God’s Creation but Who is the Interior Decorator?

Hebrews 3:1-6

Jesus Christ of More Glory than the Law Giver.
The universe is a house that was built by God through Jesus Christ, and everything within the universe is a guest of that house. Moses was a guest of the house and was faithful to the Creator in all things, “Moses also was faithful in all His house.” The whole Jewish community upheld Moses as the supreme Law giver for all times, but Jesus Christ is far above him, “For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.” That describes how important the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is for the atonement of sin, He was being obedient to God, “Christ Jesus, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him.” This verse explains all of that, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 That was never said about Moses.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we understand that He is the High Priest over everyone, the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Even the thing that has power over physiology is within the house that was built by Jesus Christ, but it is very, very unfaithful in all His house. It denies the Deity of Christ and discards the need for the Gospel. It is the mark of the beast and is a very poor house guest.

“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,
consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.
For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses,
inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.”
Hebrews 3:1-3

Followers of Christ are the House of God.
Every house in this world is built by human hands, but all the building supplies are created by God, “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.” The thing that has power over physiology is using the human body to build itself a house. It wants to make people the seat of government for the mark of the beast. It is forming thoughts for people to think, forming emotions for people to feel, and forming behaviors for people to act on. It is building human robots with the human beings that God has created.

As servants of Jesus Christ, we want the words spoken about Moses to be spoken about us, “And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward.”

As God’s people, we recognize Him as being the builder of human beings, and we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the rightful owner of our soul. On a day-by-day basis, we want to hold firm to the hope given to us by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Eternal life is our inheritance by the atonement made for sin at the Cross, and with rejoicing we hold to that promise to the very end, “Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.” Our body is the temple of God, built to house the presence of the Holy Spirit, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19

“For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant,
for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,
but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence
and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.”
Hebrews 3:4-6

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
, 3:11
