Holy Spirit is poured out to whoever calls on the name of the Lord.

  • The pouring out of the Holy Spirit was prophesied about.
  • Holy Spirit poured out on all flesh: Prophesy, dreams, and visions.
  • Blood, fire, vapor of smoke, sun darkened, moon to blood, and Salvation for whoever calls on Jesus.

The pouring out of the Holy Spirit was prophesied about.
“But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:” Acts 2:14-16

Peter stood up with the eleven other Apostles, which included Mathias who replaced Judas Iscariot [who betrayed Christ Jesus with a kiss], as described in Acts 1:23-26. The twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ stood together when Peter spoke to all the people of Judea and Jerusalem [which would have been predominantly Jewish people]. These people had never experienced or witnessed Galileans suddenly speaking in other languages that was being understood by those who were present of foreign cities, regions, and countries [as described in Acts 2:1-13]. The people of Judea and all of Jerusalem were flabbergasted and ridiculed those suddenly speaking in a foreign language, “But these speak evil of whatever they do not know…” Jude 1:10

While those “cloven tongues of fire” propelled the Gospel of Jesus Christ to global proportions, click here for what Paul said about tongues that are not profitable in promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ [part of Acts 2:1-13].

Peter made it clear that those speaking with the “cloven tongue of fire” were not drunk, it was only 9 o’clock in the morning. In those days, drinking was done predominantly in the evening hours. “For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.” 1 Thessalonians 5:7

Peter quoted Joel 2:28-32, which is the prophecy of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Once again, the Old Testament Scriptures were quoted to speak to the Jewish people who prided themselves in living for the Old Testament. Below is the quote from Joel,

“And it will come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it will come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls.” Joel 2:28-32

In the coming verses, Peter quotes the entire passage of Joel 2:28-32, except for half of a verse, which would have been very important to the Jewish people. That is verse 32b, which says, “For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls.” Peter would have omitted that part for three very good reasons, 1] The outpouring of the Holy Spirit and deliverance is not just for the Jewish people, not restricted to Jerusalem and Mt. Zion. 2] The Jewish people will not receive anything from the Lord until they acknowledge that Jesus is their Christ and Savior. “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you will see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:38-39 3] Peter was following the leading of the Holy Spirit when he omitted verse 32b.

Today, we know that Mt. Zion symbolizes our Heavenly home within the New Jerusalem and is not the Mt. Zion within the State of Israel. It’s obvious that there is no part of the State of Israel that is a promised land for all of God’s children and is not where we go in search of the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are familiar with this Church song,

We’re marching to Zion,
Beautiful, beautiful Zion;
We’re marching upward to Zion,
The beautiful city of God.

Holy Spirit Given to All People: Prophesy, dreams, and visions.
“And it will come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.” Acts 2:17-18

The “last days” involve the days since the first coming of our Lord Jesus. Through Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is given by the remission of sin, and His Spirit has been poured out to the whosoever. His message to the whole world within these last days is one of grace, mercy, and Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“Your sons and your daughters will prophecy” and “My menservants and on My maidservants…will prophesy” refers to the prophesy we have through Jesus Christ, as quoted, “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelations 19:10 If we want to know where the world is within prophecy we only need to see where the testimony of Jesus Christ is within the world. Since the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, He is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, as Jesus says, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” Matthew 5:17. The last words Jesus spoke before He died on the Cross to atone for sin was, “After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:28-30

If any of the Books of the Bible, such as Ezekiel, Habakkuk, Daniel, Zachariah, Micah, etc. are to be understood, the understanding will be through the Holy Spirit who is given through Jesus Christ. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. There are no new Prophets since the first coming of Jesus Christ because Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy. Even the Book of Revelations is given through Jesus Christ, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.” Revelations 1:1-2

“…your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” refers to visions and dreams given by the Holy Spriit to those whose faith is in Jesus Christ. These are not dreams and visions of a one world government, nor a global culture, nor an earthly Garden of Eden, nor a “field of dreams” of any other sort. Those earthly visions and dreams are more like the “Field of Blood”, as described in the posts of Acts 1:15-19. The visions and dreams given by the Holy Spirit are rooted in Jesus Christ according to the will of God.

How many people today do you know with dreams and visions rooted in the word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit? If you are struggling to come up with any there is a reason for that. Dreams and visions given by the Holy Spirit speaks to us through the spirit, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24 Today, there is an entity that replaces the spirit, while oppressing the presence of the Holy Spirit, to give people what to speak, do, think, and feel. This entity fights against any prophecies, dreams, or visions coming through the testimony of Jesus. This is the same entity that gives life to the image of the beast to speak and live through people. By what they are given to say and do, they are not speaking through the Holy Spirit, but are groomed to the mark of the beast.

Blood, fire, vapor of smoke, sun darkened, moon to blood, and Salvation for whoever calls on Jesus.
“I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it will come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Acts 2:19-21

The pouring out of the Holy Spirit is in these last days, since the first coming of Jesus Christ. This also means the end of this present world is in these last days. That’s because as people reject Jesus Christ, they are rejecting the presence of the Holy Spirit in their life, and the Holy Spirit is the one who restrains lawlessness. “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thessalonians 2:5-8 Click here for a post on the “lawless one”.

There has been a global falling away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ since the United Nations was established in 1945 and brought the government of the beast with it, as described in the post on Daniel 8:1-14. We are living in the days when the Holy Spirit is being taken out of the way, and love has become cold. Click here for a post on Matthew 24 concerning these last days.

“I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath…” are certainly in the prophecies of the Old Testament. This is written in Isaiah, “For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregations on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.” Isaiah 14:13-14 Ezekiel shares his vision of the space satellites, space station, and space shuttle in Ezekiel chapter 1. In Zechariah it is written, “This is their resemblance throughout the earth: Here is a lead disc lifted up, and this is a woman sitting inside the basket”; then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he thrust her down into the basket, and threw the lead cover over its mouth. Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. Click here for the full post on the woman and the basket.

“…the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.” Ephesians 2:2-3

The wonders in heaven and the signs in the earth beneath comes with “Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.” From the skies, we already know there is the weaponization of the space program, which is capable of bringing blood, fire, and vapor of smoke. A vapor of smoke is what is seen coming from a gun barrel after it has been fired, or the result of a weapon shot from space and causing vapor of smoke in the earth below. That also comes with blood being spilt and fire. Vapor of smoke and fire can also come from beneath the earth through volcanos, which causes death.

The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord…”. This refers spiritually to Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, being darkened in this world and in that darkness, there is bloodshed. This is describing the global tribulation in this world when the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way and lawlessness overwhelms. Literally, there are some unprecedented events happening to the sun, not to mention global warming. Solar flares are erupting like never before, which are storms emitting from the sun. These solar storms cannot be denied as news media across the globe try to downplay fears by encouraging people to go out and look at the “beautiful Northern Lights”. Click here for a post on the Northern Lights. Before the return of Jesus Christ, the sun will be darkened and the moon “turned to blood”.

Also, because of global warming, scientists are creating ways to shield the earth from the heat of the sun. This involves creating a “cloud screen”, “chemical screen”, etc. to darken the sun and to shade the earth and everyone who lives on the earth. Tumultuous days are lurking nearby as the moon will be “turned to blood” in a world gone mad and filled with lawlessness.

Global warming is here and is the Fourth Plague of Revelations 16:8-9. The more powerful the United Nations become as the undisputable one world government the hotter and more intense the effects of global warming becomes. Global warming is instrumental in destroying the power center of the beast [Fifth Plague of Revelation 16:10-11], which is the power source of the global government and its global culture. In that powerlessness, comes the Battle of Armageddon in the Sixth Plague of Revelations 16:12-16 Imagine the space wars of this time! Our Lord Jesus Christ returns when the Seventh Trumpet sounds [Revelations 11: 15-18] within the events of the Seventh Plague of Revelations 16: 17-21.

“And it will come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Acts 2:19-21 Grab a life jacket and hang on to the wooden Cross. Jesus Christ is our only hope, the Savior of all people, who promises eternal life for all who hope in Him.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25
