Ephesians 5:21-33

Christians Submit Yourselves to Each Other.

“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
Ephesians 5:21

In the previous verses, it is written not to live by sensuality because that desensitizes a person to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The thing that has power over physiology uses sensuality to entice people to live by the mark of the beast. In contrast, Christians relate to one another in the fear of the Lord. We are to be filled with the Holy Spirit speaking to each other with “psalms, hymns, songs from the Spirit of Christ, and to sing and make music to the Lord. We should always give thanks to God for everything, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” In other words, the mark of the beast should never be invited into Christ-centered relationships. There is a huge difference between relationships in the Holy Spirit and relationships based on the thing that has power over physiology.

Wives Submit to Your Husbands.
The worst thing ever for a relationship between a wife and a husband is to have a third party coming between the two. It’s like having a third party coming between Christ and the Church. We all see what has happened to the churches, Christ is not even the head over her anymore. Christ’s authority through the Bible doesn’t mean a thing to her anymore. That’s because the thing that has power over physiology has made itself head over her. The mark of the beast is the third party that has come between Christ and the Church. It deems itself as being all-knowing, ever-present, and all-powerful. It has intruded into the husband-and-wife relationship.

A third party must never come between a husband and a wife. Today, that blasphemous third party demands to be the unifying force in a marriage, and it relegates the husband to a lesser role. To be right with God through Jesus Christ, the mark of the beast must not be the unifying factor. Wives must submit themselves to the husband and not to anything else. “The husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Church.”

Marriages are just as affected by the mark of the beast as what the churches are. These are evil times when Christ has been removed from the head of the churches and has been removed from being the head over marriages. People are arranging their life around the thing that endows the flesh with extraordinary knowledge, good feelings, exceptional skills, youthfulness, health, prosperity etc. The thing that has power through the mark of the beast enflames hostile emotions and conflict when it is not the centerpiece of relationships. It wants nothing to claim authority over its inner presence, which means it is hostile to Jesus Christ as being the head over marriages. Christian marriages are in extinction as we progress further into global turbulence. At the age of 63, I’ve been alone since 1987, and want nothing more than a Christ-centered family.

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as to the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Church:
and He is the Saviour of the body.
Therefore, as the Church is subject unto Christ,
so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.”
Ephesians 5:22-24

Husbands Love Your Wives.
The book of Ezekiel has a lot of dire things to say about those who are supposed to be the people of God and are not. Even today, there are a lot of dire things to be said about the churches who have discarded the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is like a wife who kicks-out her husband and divorces him because he lives for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Yet, Christ came and died on the Cross to give His life for the Church. From the time of His resurrection the Church has flowered globally. God wants husbands to love their wives in the same way, to enable them to flower bountifully. God wants the husband to relate to the wife through the Holy Spirit to facilitate the process of sanctification, cleansing, and to be washed through the Word of God. A Godly wife should be the source of great happiness for a husband who leads by the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Today, the thing that has established itself in the churches has kicked out Christ as the head of the Church. It requires the congregation to submit to the will of those who govern by the mark of the beast. Likewise, those who govern by the mark of the beast does not want wives married to husbands who put Jesus Christ over their inner presence. The wives who live by the mark are hostile to husbands who try to exert the authority of Jesus Christ over them. Needless to say, it wrecks the home life, it wrecks the order of marriage that God has ordained, and it wrecks Godly heritage.

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it;
That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That He might present it to Himself a glorious Church,
not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be Holy and without blemish.”
Ephesians 5:25-27

Husbands Love Your Wives as Your Own Body.
For Christ to be one with the churches means that the mark of the beast would not have a place among the churches. Today, the body of Christ is ripped apart and scattered because of the ruthlessness of those who have power over physiology and can form emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Likewise, marriages have been ripped apart by those who govern by the mark of the beast. They refuse to give place to any bonding other than to itself. It has been given the power to overcome the people of God, and Godly marriages would be included. “And it was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given it over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that live upon the earth will worship it, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:7-8

God ordained marriages so that the husband and wife would be one flesh. God created Eve from Adam’s own flesh and marriage is to join the man and wife together as one flesh. Those who rule by the mark of the beast interferes with that. They despise unions through the Holy Spirit, detest the authority of Jesus Christ, and blasphemes God. The presence of the mark of the beast rips the man and woman apart so that it becomes the dominant and unifying factor in the relationship. Marriages of today has nothing to do with bonding but has everything to do with services to the social network of the mark of the beast. As Christian families have vanished, society has become more and more Godless, and a fire has been kindled against those who live by the Bible.

“So, ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself.
For no man ever yet hates his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it,
even as the Lord the Church:
For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.
For this cause will a man leave his father and mother,
and will be joined unto his wife, and they two will be one flesh.”
Ephesians 5:28-31

Concerning the Relationship of Christ to the Church.
The bond between Christ and the Church is compared to a Husband-and-wife relationship. As seen in today’s society, as the Church goes the relationship between husband and wife goes the same way.

“This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the Church.
Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself;
and the wife see that she reverences her husband.”
Ephesians 5:32-33
