Demand to Crucify Christ

Luke 23:13-25

“Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers and the people, and said to them,
“You brought me this man as one who was inciting the people to rebellion.
I have examined Him in your presence
and have found no basis for your charges against Him. 
Neither has Herod, for he sent Him back to us;
as you can see, He has done nothing to deserve death. 
Therefore, I will punish Him and then release Him.”
Luke 23:13-16

Imagine a townhall meeting being called to discuss an issue with the State Governor. Townhall meetings are very popular nowadays to coordinate concerns between local and State Government. Imagine the Governor saying that he would agree to punish someone although he knew the person was innocent. Even before that, another district had just ridiculed and mocked an innocent person in front of city leaders and law enforcement. That someone is Jesus Christ who is continuously flogged and punished for not being on the right side of political leaders. The example that is being established by higher authority is to mock, ridicule, punish, and flog God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and Christians. That is happening in our society today.

Jesus Christ lives within believers which means those who follow the Gospel of Christ are being mocked, ridiculed, and flogged. They are being punished for not conforming to the unGodly laws that are being passed. Those laws are being formed by a government that operates through the mark of the beast. Many people disagree with changing the Godly foundations that the US Constitution is based on. The constitutional changes discard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and trample on the Holy Spirit to establish the mark of the beast as the governing principle. City leaders and their citizens accuse those who live for Jesus Christ as being people who incite others to rebel against the “progressive” changes.

“But the whole crowd shouted,
“Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!” 
(Barabbas had been thrown into prison for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.)
Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again. 
But they kept shouting, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
For the third time he spoke to them:
“Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in Him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore, I will have Him punished and then release Him.”
Luke 23:18-22

Once again, the Governor sets an example for the multitudes of people by saying he would punish an innocent person, Jesus Christ. The Governor then promises to release Jesus into the hands of the angry and hateful crowd who despise His ministry. Every time that I see protests, demonstrations, strikes, and riots from the “progressives” I hear in their heart the shout, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” They will not allow any part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to influence their agenda for change, and they sure don’t want opposition from Christians.

Those seeking to crucify Christ and influence government policy want Barrabas, and he committed sedition and murder. That is exactly the agenda of today’s world, to come against traditional government to replace it with one constitution for all the world to live under. That is a global constitution rooted in governing through the mark of the beast. They never use truth or reason to implement change, they use force and its power over physiology to cause change. Barrabas is just their type to change the laws and culture of cities, states, and nations

“But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that He be crucified,
and their shouts prevailed. 
So, Pilate decided to grant their demand. 
He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder,
the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will.”
Luke 23:23-25

Even today, the aggressive tactics against Jesus Christ are seen in cities everywhere. At one abortion protest, after the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, there were hostile attacks against Christians. A man held up a Bible in silence while standing in his appropriate area. An angry and hostile female was shouting slander against God as she ran up to the person and grabbed the Bible. She pulled the Bible from the man’s hand, tore pages out of it, threw it to the ground, and then trampled on it. That is why they are friendly to “Barrabas” but hostile to Christ as within their heart they shout, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” A fire is already kindled against Christians and the onslaught of enormous tribulation is here.

Congressional leaders are doing to Jesus Christ as the “progressive” population demands. In fact, in the midst of the protests and Christian affliction, Congressional leaders encourage them to continue on in their fight. Meanwhile, “right wing” justices of the Supreme Court are threatened with violence and death. Some of those “right wing” justices have been refused service in restaurants and even chased out by the hostile patrons. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is being mocked and ridiculed as Congress issues executive orders, “codifies” laws, and encourage lawsuits against state laws that issue abortion bans. Those living by the mark of the beast are shouting, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” That is exactly what they intend towards those who live for the testimony of Jesus Christ, and exactly what they intend for the Bible.
