Debate Over Who is the Greatest During Christ’s Betrayal

Luke 22:24-30

The betrayal of Christ has already been bought and paid for and is processing. There is conflict within the Church leadership over who is the traitor among them, trust is gone. Now, the conflict is spilling over into who will be the greatest among the leaders of the Church, there is a struggle for power. In short, Jesus tells them that those who are not His followers are ambitious to be in places of power and authority. He tells His disciples not to desire authoritative leadership positions, but instead be like those without seniority and be like those who serve.

“A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest.
Jesus said to them,
“The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them;
and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors.”
Luke 22:24-25

Ambitions to be in leadership roles in today’s times is a betrayal of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Non-Christians want power and authority. Nowadays, the authority to rule comes from an inner presence that has power over physiology, intellectual capability, and skills of all types, including managerial and leadership skills. The internal government discards the need for Jesus Christ, tramples on the Holy Spirit, and sets itself up as God. The source of empowerment comes through the mark of the beast. Jesus cautions Christians against seeking positions of power and authority. Those who are not Christians want leaderships roles within the churches. They take in all types of personal enrichments while continuing in the betrayal of Christ by quietly removing the Gospel of Christ from the Church.

“But you are not to be like that.
Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest,
and the one who rules like the one who serves.
For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves?
Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.”
Luke 22:26-27

Instead of seeking power, authority, and personal enrichment, those who follow Jesus Christ are to be like those who have no seniority at all. To clarify that, He says to be like the one that is in the service of others. The power of God works through the Spirit of Jesus Christ which has nothing in common with the empowerment that comes through the mark of the beast. Jesus did not come as a Pharisee, Sadducee, Scribe, King, Caesar, nor any other place of wealth, power, and authority. “Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.” Matthew 8:20

“You are those who have stood by me in my trials.
And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me,
so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom
and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Luke 22:28-30

Those who live for Jesus Christ will suffer enormous trials. That’s because those who sit in places of power and authority are not governing to favor those who stand by Christ. The power structure of the churches has destroyed the Gospel of Christ and have chased believers out. Likewise, government powers are changing laws to put Christian beliefs in the crosshairs of angry, aggressive, and violent mobs. Christian persecution is here today, and it comes through those who live for the personal enrichments coming through the mark of the beast. Even so, those who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ will inherit a place in the Kingdom of God. We will be together with Him, eating and drinking, sitting on thrones, and judging the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
