Edward Scissorhands and the Body of Christ

Romans 12:3-8

Everyone works together as a single body from city to city. For example, I called the transportation receptionist to schedule a ride for a doctor appointment. The transportation office is strictly transportation and has no communication with medical staff. Transportation is twenty miles away from the medical facility. She tells me I will need two hours instead of the usual one hour for my appointment. How could she know something that is two months away and the doctor doesn’t know it yet? It means that the thing that has power over physiology already sanctioned the affliction that I would be suffering.

I get to the medical appointment and the doctor decided to order a test for me that same day. He ordered the test after I mentioned a symptom to him for the very first time. I felt the symptoms just a couple weeks before the doctor appointment. I needed x-rays that same day, which required some wait time and used up most of the two hours. I didn’t say a word to him about what the receptionist said. So, they all work as one body each doing their part. One person doesn’t know what the other one is doing, but the thing that puts one city on the same sheet of music as the other is the internal government. They are under the influence of the mark of the beast. That is especially disturbing when they all have the same hostile attitude towards the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

I’m a member of the body of Christ and it is being chopped to pieces. The affliction towards Christians leaves a hand miles away from the foot and the head is many more miles away. The internal government of the mark of the beast intends to never let the society of Christ’s body join as a functioning unit. It uses its ability to form thoughts, emotions and behaviors to drive a wedge between those who live by the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

I do what I can through social media to lift up the banner for God through Jesus Christ. I know some members of the body of Christ, on social media, have different things to offer. Some serve with providing information, some are very good at expounding on the Bible, some do good at teaching, some are very encouraging, some lead us through the comments, some are very giving in response to other’s requests, and some show mercy when comments can be so rude. Members of the body of Christ works as enablers for each other. We help each other to carry on in the Spirit of Christ during these days when there is a coordinated effort against the Gospel of Christ.

In these difficult times, it’s a very good idea for me not to think of myself as being outstanding in any way. That would be ludicrous considering how much Christians need each other’s support and fellowship. I have to be moderate and clear-headed in the estimation that I have of myself, and to correspond to what I am actually able to do for God. I can’t do it all so I have to do what I can for other members of Christ’s body. We each have something to offer.

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you:
Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought,
but rather think of yourself with sober judgment,
in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members
do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body,
and each member belongs to all the others.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;
if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously;
if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Romans 12:3-8

“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11

    1. It’s only because I live for the Spirit of Jesus Christ that I am able to see the things that I write about. I know that you have that insight as well. In human terms, I feel that I have nothing to lose but to be bold in the name of God and against the mark of the beast. If I was blind, I would feel like I was playing “pin the tail on the donkey,” and I wouldn’t want to walk around blindly “accidently” pinning others. As we suffer afflictions, it’s best to do it for the Lord Jesus.
