The objects of God’s wrath were the Israelites, but He didn’t destroy them for only one reason, through them would come the birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus was a full-blood Israelite from the Tribe of Judah and through Him would come Salvation for the objects of His mercy, the Gentiles. He was patient with the objects of His wrath so that His riches would come to the objects of His mercy. Even today, He is patient with those who sin against Him so that they might choose His Salvation.
The system that governs by the inner presence of the mark of the beast is the object of God’s wrath, and destruction is their future. It rejects Jesus Christ, tramples on the Holy Spirit, and blasphemes God. It is doom, despair, and agony for the society who lives by the sin of the mark of the beast. In contrast, those who live for Jesus Christ are the object of His mercy, and our future is glory. We come to God through Jesus Christ and welcome the Holy Spirit.
Through God’s patience, today and throughout the global tribulation, more will be called to the Cross to receive Jesus Christ. When the Day of the Lord does come, it will be with speed and finality. The faithful few who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ will receive eternal life, but those who reject Him will have eternal torment. A faithful few will always be on this earth until the Day of the Lord.
“What if God, although choosing to show His wrath and make His power known,
bore with great patience the objects of His wrath—prepared for destruction?
What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the objects of His mercy,
whom He prepared in advance for glory— even us, whom He also called,
not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?
As He says in Hosea:
“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people;
and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,” and,
“In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’
there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”
Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:
“Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,
only the remnant will be saved.
For the Lord will carry out His sentence on earth with speed and finality.”
It is just as Isaiah said previously:
“Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants,
we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.”
Romans 9:22-29
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:1
