Sometimes, the internal feelings and thoughts that I have are very powerful. They cause conflict between what I want to feel and think as a Christian and what is actually coming across in my thoughts and feelings. Satan has found a way into the mind and emotions to enflame the unwanted presence of sin. Today, Satan works through the beast that gives people what to feel, think, say, and do. The beast opposes the Spirit of Jesus Christ and comes against those who live for Him.
“It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them.
And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—
all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life,
the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.”
Revelation 13:7 -8
The beast that has power over physiology is worldwide and is an intrusive presence within those who live for Jesus Christ. It appeals to the passions of human nature as well as bringing up past sins as if they haven’t been forgiven at the Cross of Jesus. Thanks to God’s grace, I can carry on in Jesus’s name. The beast continually tries to hold me prisoner to past sins and present passions. Although I want to do good, the evilness of the inner presence is always there, but Jesus Christ gives victory through the grace of God. My deliverance comes through the righteousness of Jesus Christ because I choose Him in the Spirit and embrace His grace and mercy towards the flesh. The inner presence will always be opposing the Spirit of Christ in my feelings and mind, but God holds me blameless through Jesus.
“We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So, I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.” Romans 7:14-25
“….to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets,“
‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’”
“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
Revelation 2:24-25, 3:11
