A Lot of Yuck, Even More Grace

Romans 5:20-21

It’s obvious that the world is getting worse and worse in all sorts of atrocities, horrors, obscenities, outrage, torment, crime, violence, and monstrosities. The idea of creating a gentler and kinder world through “acceptance,” “tolerance,” “inclusion,” etc. isn’t working. It is actually creating divisions between the “far right” and the “left.” The words of “peace” are words that are lamb-like, but there is a dragon lurking behind the whitewash. The only way to create a lamb-like world is by going to the Lamb of God. It is only through Jesus Christ that there is cleansing of sin to give us peace with God. The internal government that governs by the mark of the beast is only multiplying the sins, not eliminating them. Even then, the grace of God is more than the sins of this world. Through grace, righteousness reins to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Grace enables me to continue on in my life with God through Jesus Christ.

Paul is explaining that the law (Old Testament) was brought to bring awareness of sin. It would be learned that even with the law, sin increases and not decreases. A cleansing of the heart is needed and only through the blood of Jesus Christ is there cleansing of sin. No matter how much sin increases, the grace of God increases all the more through Jesus Christ. Grace enables me to continue in my life with God through Jesus. While sin brings death to God, grace brings righteousness and eternal life through Jesus Christ the Lord. The law does nothing to cleanse sin and we all have to go through Jesus to be right with God.

“The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. 
But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 
so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign
through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
